Emporia

Hi all,

Today we took a little trip down to outside of Malmö and to the new big mall they have opened there and the one that is supposed to be Scandinavia´s biggest mall- Emporia. Of course we needed to check that out!

Well, we weren't impressed at all. Same stores as we have here in our own big mall Väla and nothing new. And I don't know what the architects thought when building it in 3 floors and the elevators didn't go to all the floors. Escalators not working and parking spaces far away and a garage which were so complicated with closed sections that most cars couldn't find their way. So, not practical and not so well thought in my opinion.

Took some photos for you anyway:=)

  2. Oh no, studs really seem to be in this season... I think they overdo it sometimes. Like this dress - looks like two silvery hedgehogs - or a dress I saw today in te city, with studs on the shoulders. How are you supposed to take on a jacket with these things?
Still, studs are great. In moderation...
Sounds like an awful mall... But the christmas-items are nice. I love the scandinavian christmas-decorations, it´s much more beautiful than the things you get here ;-)

  3. Hej!

    I realy like the stuff!

But I have a question. Can you please help me to find a not too expensive evening dress for a prom. I like dresses in gothic style but without sleeves. I love colours like purple, red and black because it is around chrismas so those are good colours. I also need some shoes. I hope you can help me!

I had some sushi today and I realy liked it! Tomorrow I have school.

    Have a nice evening!

  9. Hello Anette! The first dress in photo is something you would use on stage! hahaha
In the begining of the year, they done a luxury shopping mall in São PAulo, and in fact, I think that was only pretty outside, because inside was sooo normall... (http://modaspot.abril.com.br/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/shopping-jk-iguatemi.jpg http://cdn.vogue.globo.com.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/jk-iguatemi-monta3g.jpg). Its 1 block near from the place that you done 2 gigs here in São Paulo in 2008.

Take care, and I really can't wait to know about the project that you said that you will be back soon on stage.
Positive thoughts for you and your family from brazilian fans :)

  10. Hello Anette : )

I've returned from the Manchester Apollo where I saw Johan with his band PAIN supporting Nightwish. I got my ticket about 5 or 6 months ago. I was near the front of the stage to the left. I enjoyed PAIN. PAIN actually cheered me up. They were really good : )

I see the xmas stuff is already in the shops. Even in Malmo. Despite the fact it's not xmas yet : )

    Night night Anette : )

  11. Hi Nettan!

It's been quite some time since I wrote here for the last time. The mall looks very nice. I like when stores start to be full of Christmas items and stuff like that, haha. I love this part of the year, there's some kind of 'magic' in the air.

I hope you are doing fine! A BIG hug. :)

    Emmanuel.

  13. Good morning dear Anette!
I'm sorry to hear the new mall didn't meet your expectations - I can see why you were disappointed, though, especially if they promote it as the biggest mall in Scandinavia.
I've been following your blog since you started it all those years ago and since you've been telling us how much you love Copenhagen, you got me very curious and I finally went there with my Mum this summer. And you were so right!! It's such a beautiful and diverse city, so much to do and to see, and what a great atmosphere everywhere! We also took a daytrip to Malmö with the train over the Öresundsbron and we spent the whole day at the beach. I would love to live this close to the beach and the sea, I really envy you for that!
So thank you for recommending Copenhagen to us, if it weren't for you I would have never thought about going there! ;=)
    Love, Sabine

  15. Hi Anette! :)
I think that the biggest mall of Scandinavia is Itäkeskus, in Helsinki. Atleast at the moment. Heh, sorry i had to correct that. It's a shame you were disappointed for Emporia :( .
They are doing very big renovation now in Itäkeskus and it's going to be "the most biggest and now most beautiful mall in Scandinavia". At least they say so in their slogans and commercials :)! Maybe you should check that out some time if you visit Finland some day.

    Love, Anna

  17. Hmm, I was exited to visit Emporia on my next trip to Malmö though, but it sounds like it's just another big and boring mall. So maybe I shouldn't.
Oh, well, but of course there's always another reason for visiting Malmö when living in Copenhagen. Haven't been there for 2 months which feels like forever. Haha. Christmasshopping in Malmö is being planned at the moment :)
