Home;=)

Friday afternoon I flew home after the really great days of talking with the schools in Nynäshamn. Its been extremely rewarding for me, especially for me learning to talk in front of people without getting a "panic attack";=) The second and third day have actually felt really relaxed and I felt more and more that this could be something I can do. Got really great response from teachers and politicians who said I was really good at doing this and that, of course, gives me a really warm feeling of having achieved what I wanted. To overcome my own fear of public speaking and telling the students how it feel to be bullied in school and how it actually has helped me dealing with the hate I got from many fans when I entered my dream - taking the position as the new singer in Nightwish.

I will tell you more about these days in the coming week, but now I need to just melt it and "take in" everything I have learned and heard from the students.

But I want to thank all the students I have met in Nynäshamn, Ösmo and Sorunda for giving me so much back, making this journey in my own personal development so rewarding and fulfilling. You have ALL given me new goals and thoughts about how I can do more for bullied and insecure kids and also showing others that you can reach your dream or goal with lots of stubborness!

  1. Hi Anette!
I was sure it would be all right. I'm glad you have learned many new things and that you're not so afraid to speak in front of public. This is a great step forward for you ;) The guys that you have met are really lucky!
    Love you
    Big hug

  2. Anette, I am so sorry you felt so much negativity from socalled Nightwish fans. I have adored you since the first note of Eva. Any one who even slightly gets what the former singer put the band thru should have had no hate. The others are just like her. To hell with them. You deserve nothing but the best. You bring out the beautiful emotion the music was written to have. If I could sing, I would want a talent similar to yours. I hope you will always know you are amamzing!
    Love,
    Tisa

  3. Hi Anette,
speaking in front many people and tell your experience it should have been a vent for you and after all you felt better. Is not it? Tell me if i'm wrong. :)

Anyway, i don't think that all the singer as you they would do it. You great person and i think who insult you they should be ashamed. I've always thinked: why do they have not tried to do the test for the NW?

I have to say that i'm really annoyed what i read criticism or insults about you!

One question: Do you ever answered to them? I think that not always you have do to it but sometimes they deserve it.

  4. Hey Anette,
Personally I'd replace the word 'fans' with idiots.

Its great that you've done this - 'bully' can become such a cliché, pathetic word and people forget how it affects people. Something like this here, in the UK, would be amazing!

Anyway *Standing Ovation* Well done! :D

  5. Hi Anette:)
Glad to it that it was in fact a memorable and enlightening experience for you. Was soooo worried thinking that it was going to be to short of a notice for you to get prepared properly. Talk about panic! OMG. To me the same would have been like going off a cliff...without knowing why. Amaze me!!!
Thank you also for clearing up the question that I asked...bulling, and insecure for me are much better words. Their a big problem here as well.

Waiting to hear more from about at your leisure.

Take care, hope all is well
    Lots of love,
    Gary
