Saw a great performance today on TV with a guy who here in Sweden is a famous comedian/tv personality. He did a monolog for 1 h 45 min about mainly the 90s. He made me laugh so much but also there were some really serious things he talked about.
He talked about when he was a kid. Up until 14 years of age, he was a bed-wetter and therefore he got beaten and mocked in school and had to lock himself in to the toilet for the whole day to get away from the mocking kids after they hang him in his arms to a tree and beat him everywhere...
I get so sad and so very, very angry when I hear these things! I remember school as a hard and scary place myself and now when I am a mum myself, I worry about these things. It´s so hard cause these things will always be there, but my dream is that no kid or adult should need to be afraid going to school/work or even home. Wars, mocking, cruelty, violence and pain are the things I hate the most in the world;=(
let´s try and make it a better place!!
good night to all of you, now I´ll go to bed and read a good book;=)

aww, that's pretty sad...
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with your philosophy, although unfortunately, those things will always exist.
enjoy your book!
This is very sad =/
ReplyDeleteWhat we can do is try to make up the mind of people that do this when we can.
Sleep well!
Have good dreams!
:-(
ReplyDeleteThat's not nice.
Suppose it will always be here though, the book 'Ugly' is a young girls story simular to that, but she is now a Lawyer and very sucsessful. Tt makes you think though...
Night, Ryan.
I do agree with you, Anette.
ReplyDeleteI've been already a victimn of mocking when I was a child and it's pretty hard to move on without feeling the biggest loser in the world. Those things influenced a lot a kid's mind, specially the way that person see oneself.
Take care!
I love monologues, they're so funny and interesting :D
ReplyDeleteGood night Nettan *-*
I like to dance before sleeping :P
Wow, you've posted a lot here lately :) It's wonderful to keep up to date with you and what you're up to. It's a shame that Night at the Museum 2 was a disappointment. I'll probably prefer the first one two.
ReplyDeleteYou told me once that you like Twilight and even asked me if I did and if I liked the movie. You got quite...er *laughs* Fangirly. It was cute. You mentioned above that you read before bed - I do the same thing. I was wondering, would you ever pick up the saga called Darren Shan? It's a vampire series but it's a bit different from Twilight. Definitely one of my favourites though. Oh and another question - who are you favourite characters in Twilight and why? :-P Hope you sleep well <3
I completely agree. I was picked on a lot when I was younger and I can't understand what motivates a person to do and say some things. Jealousy? Ignorance? Immaturity? Probably all those things and more. Who knows really? Unfortunatly a lot of people have the philosophy of "I'm just one person what can I do?" If everyone thought that way nothing would ever get done. If everyone just did something it would make a world of difference.
ReplyDeleteYes, the school can be the worst place in the word
ReplyDeleteThe school can be a nightmare, but may also be a paradise ..
The thing that makes this happen is called FRIENDS.
I do high school and technical education in the same school, morning and afternoon
In high school, I don`t have verry friends, is verry hard, like last Friday, I felt so alone, but at the same time had 40 people in my room!
Already in the technical, I felt comfortable since I'm friends with pretty people!
All this in one place! rsrsrs
I am more and more convinced that you should write lyrics for nightwish songs.
ReplyDeleteHave a good night dear, God bless!
It's really sad :\
ReplyDeleteSchool can be the worst place in the world for a kid sometimes!
Beautiful blog, Anette :)
Take care and good night.
That is really sad :(
ReplyDeleteWhat you said is very insipring. I just wish we could all have that view.
I know I hated going to school for a long time. Kids can be so horrible to each other.
There is too much prejudice and hatred in this world.
I find your strength and determination so inspiring, thank you.
All my love and support Kellie xxx
Hej!
ReplyDeleteAll those negative things that you mentioned are very sad indeed, but luckily we have some fantastic music to cheer us up! (Referring to your band´s music =D)
Jag måste säga att den här blogen är fantastisk! Det är trevligt att läsa your thoughts. Och det är bra att du orkar skriva den här blogen så ofta nu du är inte på tour med bandet (I'm sorry my bad swedish..).
Greetings from a fan from Finland =)
I am more and more convinced that you should write lyrics for nightwish songs. [2]
ReplyDeleteIf there wasn't any "sadness" in the world we wouldn't be happy :D
Even the worst thing makes us a better person, I think this way.
I was very talked in school (I still don't know why) but I didn't care about it, because my frineds were always with me, in and out of school.
I'll stop here because this post is souding really nonsense for me :B
Good night again o/
Yes, i understand your sadness and anger , i've been mocked a lot and for many years at school, and the thing is that i used too to lock myself into the toilet to escape from mocking people ^^.
ReplyDeleteI'm fully agree with you, and all we have to do is doing our best to make this world a better place :) ( ohh it's so beautifull!it's the french inspiration i'm a true poet lol xD )
Have a nighty night and sweet dreams :)
Wow you're writing a lot these days! Thank you for that, it means the world to us.
ReplyDeleteAbout the monolog... sadly, violence, in all its forms, is underliying our lifes all the time. Take care of our loved ones is the only way to survive this phase.
In another subject, can I ask you what are you reading?
I've stopped reading at night because I can't stop! I could go on all night but I have to get up early for work :(
If you like SciFi I recommend you Dean Koontz, he's a great author in the gender... "Cold Fire" is one of his best books.
Well, that's it, have a good night and great vacations! Thank you again!
Noelia from Argentina.
Rougod, people really love you Anette xD
ReplyDeleteOk, here I am again.
I just wanna ask you if you've ever listened to Tori Amos, because I see you singing some of her songs :P
The thing i don't understand is: why don't we do anything against it. We stand there, look the scenery and doing nothing!! Why??? I've be mocked also very often in school and mostly because i stood up for others. But my Mama was there for me, took me in her arms and just listen. She only say something when it was clear that i did something bad. I think she made me become a better person and gave me the power to face it.
ReplyDeleteJust be there for him!!!
That's sad.
ReplyDeletePeople need to be loved to feel whole, to feel good.
I love you, Anette :)
I like to listen to your voice before sleeping. Nightwish songs!
By the way, what book are you reading?
Greetings from a fan from [2] Brazil.
Take care.
We've all been hurt by other people and seen those we LOVE with all our hearts being hurt in the same way. People are cruel, because of their own insecurities, their own vanities, their own thirst for power. I'm a high school student who's been working with hundreds of children in all different areas of life since I WAS a child - since I was about 10. I've been through too much to bear, and I wouldn't be alive today if it wasn't for God lifting me above my circumstances and into His Love. Since then, I've seen this miracle happen to tons of people, children and adults alike, and I know that I KNOW that He's the only true Healer of hearts broken by torment and mockery. We need to do all we can, by simply LOVING people whether we feel it or not :) It's LOVE that changes lives, and keeps us safe from the pains of the world. God bless all, and good night =)

ReplyDeleteHi Anette, school and not a legal experience for all, and most can not dessitir of our goals, I hope you soon here in Belo Horizonte in Brazil.
I love you!
I share the same dream with you ;) too bad fear is something we just can't take off from our lives. we can only hope that things will turn out fine in the end :)
ReplyDeletehave a good night, and greetings from another brazilian fan :)
Yes...School time can be the best moment of your life, but it can be the worst too. It is sad, but the culture of mocking different people is in the roots of humanity, so I don't think it will end someday... I suppose all we can do is hoping to find only good, reasonable people in our lives.
ReplyDeleteAnette, let me ask you: do you have this old Nightwish song that you would like to sing live? I personally think you would do well singing Bless the Child, and Forever Yours! =)
Kisses and Hugs, from a brazilian fan =)
School for me was a scary place too, I was always the "little skiny nerd girl" and that's why now, I think, I'm a little closed, but still crazy (hehehe...) with the good friends and family, they are the ones who help us in this time of our lives.
ReplyDeleteKisses to you, Anette, you were great at Recife - Brazil (16.11.2008), I really loved your energy!
:*
Yeah, seems like brazilians r already welcoming u nicely, Anette! Just wanted to congratulate u for the initiative in activating this blog. It was an incredible idea and we r all very happy about it! =D Also, I want to wish u a good night and a wonderful rest, 'cuz u sure desirve it! Not just this night, but all of them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for everything and especially for all ur respect towards the fans. We definately love you ;P
From ur brazilian fan who admires u and wants the best for u,
César.
hey!
ReplyDeleteAnnie, u are so great! Really, you really seem kind and a great person, I wish I could meet you :)
I already saw u guys in Köln and in Buenos Aires (I am from Argentina but I went on an exchange trip to Germany, and how to resist going to your concert there? I only had to travel one day and sleep in McDonalds, we got kicked out hahaha :P) But then we traveled to Paris and I had no more money, I swear I'd have gone to the concert there as well if I had had money :P
I had a lot of fun reading your journal entries and I hope you keep on posting entries :)
We wait for u guys in Buenos Aires again, hopefully twice in the next Tour (you could tell Ewo :P) ;) Have a lot of fun in your free days and keep on singing, doing what you love and getting better and better every day, everytime a new leg of the tour begins you sing better ;)
Max.
Anette........
ReplyDeletecome back to Brazil...
I love you (L)
Kiss ;*
Oh...and I forgot to mention something. I sympathize with anyone who has ever been bullied for wetting the bed. When I was 4 years old, I told a supposed friend that I wet the bed. I thought I could trust her. By the end of the day, even hated me because she'd told them. They avoided me and teased me relentlessly, saying that I stunk and so on. I would go home every day after that point, crying because I was so alone. It never stopped so I ended leaving the school at Grade 3 and we moved. I never told anyone about my problem until it stopped after that.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I hope you come back to Australia really soon. I'd love to meet you for real :3 Love you heaps
Hi Anette!
ReplyDeleteI'm a chilean girl. I'm 15 and I really love Nightwish.
I am very excited about your blog
It's a great opportunity to know you better
I admire you as a woman and singer
I wish the best to you and of course Nightwish.
Here in Chile there are so many people who love you and support you.
Thanks for making my dreams come true.
I hope you come back to Chile as soon as possible :)
Paula Rojas.
I quite agree, I was bullied as a child a lot, so now as I'm older I've learned not to be a victim.
ReplyDeleteI saw you in Houston May 12, I have been Nightwish fan for 8 years and I think you're more than lovely. It was my first concert, and it was beautiful. :) Tuomas even took my kiss and gave me his water bottle. Yes I'm a dork. I was late for the meet & greet since my friend that was coming with me had to be rushed to the hospital that morning with pneumonia in both of her longs, sadly, she had to miss the show.
Anyway, hopefully next time I can meet you and say you're lovely in person. :)
Goodnight!
That's so sad to hear,
ReplyDeleteschool should be more safe than other places...
as I am 14, i know a lot about bullying in school. before two years i was going throught all those bullying...
the world will be better place if there are more people thinking like you do.
Yes being mocked at school can be very traumatic. It is very strange but at my last Nightwish concert whilst waiting outside we got to talk to the people around us and it seems that nearly everyone there got mocked at in school for being different and that a lot of people were taking comfort in Tuomas' lyrics. OK my school time is way back adn Nightwish did not exist then but strange coincidence (or maybe not) it was. But you are right, we should all try and make the world better but acting with more respect.
ReplyDeleteHi Anette,
ReplyDeleteThere's so much hatred in this world. Wars, mocking, cruelty, violence and pain ... why's that for?
My cousin was victim of car-jacking, had a gun pointed to his head and it was a very traumatic thing. He's 24 and he still doesn't like to be all by himself =(.
People should understand that there's only one race in the world: the Human Race.
I find your strength and determination so inspiring, thank you. [2] =)
God Bless you,
Barbara - Portugal
My son was bullied at school along with a couple of his closest friends. The school didn't listen and even suggested that my son brought it on himself!
ReplyDeleteHe was unusualy tall (he's now 6f 7ins) and so stuck out in a crowd. In the end i had to take him from school when he was 15 and pay for him to be educated elsewhere. The state wouldn't help me because they wouldn't accept responsibility. His grades were nowhere near what they looked like being when he was younger.
He has the mental scars to this day, but as i told you before Anette, he met a girl on the Nightwish forum and is living with her and his life is a lot better. He still has emotional issues though.
As a footnote, a few years after they left school, one of my son's friends was attacked by one of the original school bullies and murdered. One of the problems at school is that the schools don't want to take responsibility for not dealing with bullies and they deny that anything has happened.
Hey Anette, you philosophy is right but is there another thing i hate most of all, is a crulelty to the animals. Good night dear Anette!
ReplyDeleteHi Anette !
ReplyDelete"Never sigh for better world..." :)
Thank you for starting this blog, it's so cool.
I want to write some lines for you since the shows I went to in Paris last 23th and 24th of March, I'm glad to find a way to do this !
I wanted to give you back all the love you brought to us. I felt really bad last year when you were tired and sick. It must be hard for you to tour all over the world, and sometimes people can be mean as you said in the documentary in Made in Hong Kong, so I would like to tell you that here (in France, in Paris, in my house !), we really really love you forever and ever. After the gig my little sister was so moved by your interpretations that she cried all the way back to home. And me... Nightwish means so much to me. I think that you brought to the band some kind of happiness and warmth. When I listen to the "old" versions of the "old" songs, I can't avoid singing the songs in my head the way you sing them. Your versions of these songs represent on my opinion the very essence of Nightwish. (I love the new ones too of course, but having a new version of the pre-DPP songs is so refreshing!)
I hope we'll see you again very soon (But I realize that I'll have to wait for quite a long time...)
Anyway, enjoy your free-time in Sweden, enjoy being with your family and friends, and come back quickly to see us !
Sarah
[I apologize for my English, I must have made some mistakes, but I think I've made my point!]
I agree with you. That is soooo awful! I was teased at school 'cause I am listening to Nightwish .Only 'cause I have different taste in music...
ReplyDeleteIf anyone is bullied , he/she needs to ask for help of a family. Family wil always help.
I don't understand this bullying? Why do they do that? My friend is always in trouble just because he is different , but he doesn't asking for help.
There are worse things in life! Like war
Wish you all the best!
Wars, mocking, cruelty, violence and pain are the things I hate the most in the world-Anette , I agree with this you said!
ReplyDeleteThere are worse things than school/work.
Kids are afraid will they get a good mark at school and thoose stuff.
That's so sad, the poor guy...
ReplyDeleteAnette, you say that for you school was scary and difficult. I think I also remember you saying once that you really understood the emotions of the song Eva. Are these two things connected?
I'm so glad to have left school. There were some good moments, but overall I don't look back at it as a happy time - school certainly left some scars. It's largely thanks to Nightwish that I survived :)
I hope now in life to help make the world a better place, even if only in some very small way. Better that than to spend your whole life self-seeking and self-serving...
Have a great week Anette x
A mother always wants to protect her child ;) Unfortunatly, children can be very cruel, sometimes they don't even realize how mean they are, mostly because their parents didn't teach them they should respect the others. It often takes time to understand that being different is not a weakness but a strenght. But it's always easier to be proud of who you are when you are older, when you're a child all you want is to be like everyone else. Other pupils used to hate me because I wore glasses and my parents had less money :(
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with your words and thoughts, it is something that I know.
ReplyDeleteBut I don't want to think about the past.
What book are reading?
Kiss,
Miriam
xxx
I am really sad for that guy :( , but family, especially a mother will protect her child;).
ReplyDeleteWhich book are you reading?
Hugs and take care♥
Ena
I've been very lucky in that I've always had some friends who stand by me regardless of what anyone else thinks. I don't see the point in violence at all, and I hope that love will triumph in the end (actually I'm a pacifist :)) and I'm glad that other people share my view! Sleep well xx :)
ReplyDelete*hugs* to you Anette, I feel exactly the same way about the world. I can't even kill a fly ever mind hurt someone. I was a victim of bullies at school, I am 35 and happily married but it's always there in the back of my mind. But now I don't hate them bullies.. I pity them.
ReplyDeleteI have just been reading a piece of life's phylosophy called 'Desiderata' written by a man called Max Ehrmann in the 1920's.
"With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful. Strive to be happy"
When your feeling sad or angry at the world or just feeling melancholy . Read this and it helps. It is so beautiful and true.
http://www.fleurdelis.com/desiderata.htm
I hope you enjoy it.
Love and light

Hei Anette
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you.. You are so a nice person <3
love you lots<3
I agree with you very much. Being bullied in school is a painful experience, and I find that it can take a long time for a person to "unfurl" afterwards, if they've been wrapped up inside themselves to protects themselves. However, in spite of the cruel people, there are also so many good and positive people. I find it all gets better not when bullies decide to stop picking on one, but when a good person decides to be kind to one. When one has love and friendship, one can gain the confidence to overcome negative people. Learning a bit of self defence helps too - in fact, sometimes simply having physical confidence can stop a fight from starting, because one's posture does not proclaim one's vulnerability.
ReplyDeleteIt must be difficult as a parent to send one's child out into the world where there is so much pain, full of people being so cruel to each other and taking advantage for the sake of their own pride and profit. But there is good too. And I think the best parents make their children part of that good, so that they can not just be safe in the middle of all the cruelty, but they can help others too.
Hei Anette! Yes, these are good thoughts.. I think we think in the same way :) I really hope you'll read my comments between the hundred thousand comments you have.. I always answer later :( Hope you've slept well.. Have a nice day! Ciao form Italy!
ReplyDeleteMattia.
thats so sad
ReplyDeletewe must try to change the things
in my school people hate me becouse I love all the metal music...people listening to the hits of the radio and dont understand the other kinds of music...but Im not sad whit that...I will defender my music forever!!!
And of couse I am agree whit you
You are a really good person
lots of kisses from spain

Usch och fy. Sov gott! =)
ReplyDeleteSo great here...
ReplyDeleteI love you Anette! :D
Im follow you!!
you follow me?
please
Brazil wait for you...
sorry my english!! :P
Kisses my dear
Hej Anette! So great that you have a blog of your own, it's always nice to hear something about you or the rest of the nightwish group. :)
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you're talking about, since I was bullied in school almost ten years... Some children and even some adults can be incredibly cruel... :(
Pus och kram,
Silja.
Unfortunately you´re right...
ReplyDeleteI´m at secondary school and most of my classmates hate me because I´m lots more intelligent than any of them.....¡¡¡¡¡they have even nicknamed me like 20 times!!!!!....but I don´t care....
Anyway, yes, I´m smarter than them and that is the very important thing, isn´t it?
....See you.....
Luckily I never went trough something like this but WOW, I was reading all the comments and almost all of them have a story to tell about being bullied at school... and besides the kids who have suffered this, it's sad to see how kids's minds and souls are being corrupted at very young ages... I mean... the opressors are KIDS!
ReplyDeleteDefinitively something's not right with human race...
Changing the subject, I guess at this time you must be lying pleasantly by the pool, so I hope you enjoy your well-deserved vacation time with your family! and with yourself, too. That's always important =)
Just in case you have finished your book and you don't know what to read, (if you haven't read it before) you could try Paulo Coelho's "The Witch of Portobello", it's mainly a good story. =)
Hugs,
Paz
You are such a beautiful person Anette.
ReplyDeleteI too am curious what you are reading. I love to read but it has been a while since I found a good book. =D
I feel the same way. Nowadays people are so cruel to each other and with animals! I wish we could have a better world! :(
ReplyDeleteWith love, Maria
you are so right...many many children are afraid of going to school because they are scared of being bullied.. this is very very sad...things must be changed..but i thnik that this is so difficult.. :-(
ReplyDeleteYes, school is, sometimes, the worst place ever, but it can also be the best one. It's on school that you know a lot of friends and many of them become your best friends for the rest of your life!
ReplyDeleteBut, of course, there's a lot of cruelty there too!
Thank you for sharing your life with your fans.
You're an incredible person and an amazing singer!!!
I just want to ask you something. What is your strangest habit? Like a weird food or something...
Please, come back to Brasil, people here love you so much!
Dear Anette, this is not the apropriate place to say this, but I'd really like you could see this:
ReplyDeleteI don't know if you know this site (http://looklet.com), but I think you'll enjoy it. There are a lot of clothes we can choose and make a great look :)
You said that you like some clothes brands, and there are a lot of famous ones and some nice dresses that I think you will really like :)
And, what's your favorite perfume? Mine is Nina by Nina Ricci.
With love,
Dominique :)
Oh, Anette! I forgot to express an opinion about the text.
ReplyDeleteI'm agree with you.
The world is becoming a place full of suffering and selfishness, that's so disturbing!
I was also abused at school and suffered a lot but the important thing is to continue living and learning to be a good person.
A little question absolutely out of place...
What's your favorite song of Alyson Avenue?
I love Echoes of my heart, When Dreams Fall Apart, Free like the wind, Lost & Lonely and Tonight is all you get!
Wish you all the best!
Hello Anette! It's so nice of you to have your own blog, and for you to take time to write and answer the fans questions; it shows what I knew the first time I saw you on stage back in 2007 in Houston, Texas: that you are a sweet, caring person and you brought new life to this band I love so much :o) I think you are the best choice for the band, so never mind those who try to put you down; just think of us who love you and support you and the boys of course ;o)
ReplyDeleteI would like to say that I agree with you, school is a very scary place and I know 'cause it happened to me back in the day; I was bullied and I hate it going there. And this stays with you for the rest of your live (like me) or just for a while, in any case kids at school are very cruel and that is very sad :o(
I hope you enjoy your vacation and may I recommend a place were the sun always shine (meaning there is no snow at all) with beautiful beaches you can go year round? Well, look no further than the place were I come from: the Island of Puerto Rico (and I think I'm the first person to write to you from here, yay!!) After the show in Helsinki, come here and I'll be glad to give you a tour of the Island :o)
I have a few questions: How did you got interested in tattoos? How many do you have? (I myself have 8 and I want more) and I'm curious to know what the boys think about your tattoos or what do they say every time you get a new one?
Well, again have a nice vacation, enjoy your time with friends and family (I have to wait till August to go on vacation)
Enjoy and have fun! =)
Zamarie [#1 fan from Puerto Rico :o)]
Hello!
ReplyDeleteafter reading this post I just started thinking about my school years.. I personally can't remember anything that bad as being beaten os smth like that. But I remember being mocked from time to time.. can't say that there really was a reason for such attacks, it was just evident that there always be cruel children with their own problems, which they can't solve and that's why they shift them to the ones they dislike for whatever reason..
Well, talking about protecting your own child..I understand I'm not the one who can advise, but anyway, if there would be such a problem with Seth (and I hope there won't), I think, You should try to make him speak about it and not just keep in silence like there's no problem at all. I believe that at least talking and discussing the problem can help and improve the situation. At least he and his mom would feel better.
Tace care and have wonderful holidays!

ReplyDeleteGood day lady Anette!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on Your blog! It looks beautiful and good to see that You are having fun with it!
Thank You for taking time to write to us :)
As for the bullies, I have my share of experience in that matter and I know how it feels. The fact is that bullies are very sad and bitter people who find pleasure in hurting other in revenge for being bullied by others or to hide their own complexes.
Either way! They aren't worth of attention. It only fuels their behavior. Ignorance is a bliss!
I wouldn't be worried about Seth. I'm sure he knows that he can come with any problem to you no matter what. Hopefully nothing bad is going to happen though.
Hope You had a great night with the book!
<3
Karolina
PS. Sorry by the deleted post above (It was me at work!) I've done that by mistake.. Sorry!
That very sad Nette, I too remember school being a very scary place. I hated it, seriously. I'm glad it's over.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is so very cool, I'm loving so much to read about you and what you did on your day. It's so easy to imagine you in your routine now. Congrats.
Hope to read more from you today.
Kisses.
:*
Hello Anette!!!
ReplyDeleteI have a question for you: do you think that Lauri Ylonen's voice can fully and technically fit yours? Because I do. But unfortunately I'm not that into singing techniques so I wanted a professional point of view! ;)
Looking forward to hear the duet song!
Kisses!!!
Manuelita...from Italy! ;)
hey anette how are you ?
ReplyDeletehttp://darkrainapril.wordpress.com that's my website ;) by the way i like your music and your voice you're wonderfull sorry my english :D
ReplyDeleteHello Anette,
ReplyDeleteI have a question. How big are you?
I agree with you, Anette!
ReplyDeleteSchool can be the worst place in the world! =/
Hello there Anette :D
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you've decided to talk with your fans and that you share your thoughts with us.
Always wanted to say how much i appreciate you :D (sorry if i'm too enthusiastic but i really love your work).
And about the thing about school, i understand.I've never been that popular guy in the class that is friend with everybody, hangs out with the other boys and drink and other stupid things, i preffered to stand in my desk and have a few but real friends with wich i will reman all my life.
Your blog is so awesome and you're such a great person, hope you'll read my post :D
Greetings from Romania, hope i will able to come at Artmania Festival :D
Hi Nettan =]
ReplyDeleteMy time in school was quite peaceful, it was a religious college, so the kids weren´t so bad, but this one time when i was 6, a nasty girl bit my arm!
I was in the swing playing in the park, and came to me and told that if dont leave the swing for her she would kick my ass! :(
I resist bravely and did not leave, so the crazy girl bite me. My mom was so pissed off! On the other day she complained with my teacher, and she was so angry, i bet the teacher never forget her!
I hope that you son dont suffer any of this kind of things, i bet he a sweet and gentle boy ;)
my best wishes for your nights, and keep posting!:D
;*
Hey Anette!
ReplyDeleteGood to know that now you've gotten a blog. First of all, congratulations for everything you've and are doing for Nightwish. Second of all, talking about your post, I totally agree and see these defects in the world. It's very sad, but with the motivation of all the world, I think we can fix it.
Hope to have the pleasure of reading some new posts soon, have a good day.
Greetings from Tatiana, a fan from Brazil.
There was on TV about that yesterday. Children are scared to ell a problem to parents , but they always help , especially a mother will help to her daughter/son.
ReplyDeletePlease , come back to Croatia! You are the best!
Take care Anette♥ I love you!
I wish all the best to you , your family and guys in the band! Bigg kiss to you and guys!
hi!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you... there are a lot of problems in this world... and the sadest its that the people who can change it don't mind...
I wish you come to galicia/spain soon =)
hugs!
Hello there, Anette!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you've got official website and blog! As many people say, it's very nice to know how you feel, to read your opinions and what you do in your free time.
I myself haven't got any experience with bullying, but my brother has gone through very hard times at his school. It was so sad to imagine him in such a desperate situation. Now the problems are forunately over.
Those people who keep hurting others just to prove themselves their "power" should finally try to use their brains and think it all through. Then they may see that cruelty doesn't lead anywhere and doesn't solve anything - they may realize that cruelty just makes this world worse.
I want to tell you I really adore you for being always yourself though sometimes it must be very hard for you. Keep it up, you do the right thing! It doesn't make sense to change yourself because of someone else's opinion. Nope. Stay yourself. I've learned that from you.
Thank you very much for being so affectionate and optimistic person! And also thanks for your courage and sedulity - if you didn't have these features we wouldn't know you and your lovely voice! Oh, I haven't told you: to me, your voice sounds like gold, shiny sunbeams! Right now the sun is shining through my window into my eyes and face, and it really is like your voice - dazzling, making me happy and warming me... :)
Hugs and greetings,
Susan, Czech Republic
(sorry for my english :))
Hi there, Anette! I love you and your performances. I've seen some of your gigs with Nightwish on Youtube and you have really improved in singing the old-era NW songs! I prefer many of your versions to the old ones. Some questions, however, has been boggling my mind for a while now and I hope you could give my mind peace by answering them.
ReplyDelete1. Wish I Had An Angel: "Beauty always comes with dark thoughts... oh yes they do!"
How did you come up with this cool extra addition to the song and is the grammatical error intentional? I think you know that beauty is singular word and therefore you should say "oh yes it does" (but that would sound bad, wouldn't it?).
2. Nemo: "For hope I gave my everything"
Is the change from I'd give to I gave a reference to Nightwish getting over it's past troubles? Nice variation to the song nevertheless!
3. Have you ever considered making a new live version of the Carpenter song from the first album of the band? I would LOVE to hear you and Marco sing that together, your voices sound so beautiful together.
Thank you for your answers, Anette.
Hi, Anette!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, it is sad about the suffering what people have to go through. Some people are so selfish and ignorent, they don't see it. And most of the time, they are the people who could help those who are suffering =[
Anyways, I think it's great that you got your own blog to share your thoughs and talk to your fans (And thats alot! Including me, I really look up to you! :D)
Mia xx
I'm just a young fan of Nightwish, one among a lot. And I don't even speak english well, But I say here wat I would say from long.
ReplyDelete-First, I like the idea of a blog, son fans can direct talk wtih you, it's great
-Than, I love you signing Ghost love Score, I went to two gigs since you've joined Nightwisn the first (28/03/2008) I was a bit desappointed, but this year (14/03) I found it very great. I didn't really like Ghost Love Score, but when you sang it, I found it realy marvellous, sincerely. I want say much more about it, but My English level is not good enough.
For this comment, I know it's a phenomenon that still happened too much. I was victim too and I'm not alone. But, we must keep hope, teenagers are not allawys clever, and they need victims, it's a pity but it's so. You wrote that you were a victim too, look at you now, you're the singer of one of the best metal band of the world, people who were victims become more ready to face the real world. Even if it is a bad time for these young people I want give this message "Keep hope, you will reveal what you really are later, and you will be more interesting than all these have mocking you"
Sorry for my bad english, this message is just from a little belgian fan, but it's sincere.
Greatings for Belgium.
Hey Anette, have you ever been in Ystad? It's in southern Sweden (near Malmo). I'm from Poland and I've been there in August. It's very beautiful town :)
ReplyDeleteHi theeeeere (L)
ReplyDeleteOf course you don't know me but HOW SURPRISE YOU ARE to learn that I know you ! (plz pretend to ^^) Isn't it so scaring ?
However ! I love so much all that you do (mainly : singing ^^') (L) I'm pretty proud to see that you've chosen Blogspot =D I'm now one of your "Followers" (H)
I guess you will surely not read this, though I'm posting because of an ethic matter.
I'm really really happy to see your blog you know ! That's just like I knew you a little bit more :)
what else ? I hope you'll stay with Nw for a long time, writing you that you mustn't care about what people can tell about you (for instance that "you" "ARE" so much "LESS" "than Tarja") is useless but I wanted you to know that I support you. (proud proud proud)
Best wishes ! Keep posting ! And try to sleep, after all... we wouldn't like you to get ill ><' we wanna see youuu (L)
Sry for my english, I'm French (and this excuses the rest XD)
Xx (L)

ReplyDeleteHi there =)
ReplyDeleteYeah I totally agree with you about this subject, it's very sad, I don't understand why people have to be like that... =( What's the fun of it? And mostly the ones who had a bad school time because people where rude to him/her, get a lot luck in the futur =) (Like the one you talked about, he has made it far already =D )
Totally agree, bullieing shouldn't exist.. It can destroy you.
ReplyDeleteI'm having a hard time at school too, not only because of bullies but also because I seem to screw every test they give me.. Bullieing makes it so much harder.
xx,
Nouky
