Hi all!
Yesterday evening we finally came back home and as you know, home is always best;=) I loved being away but sleeping in my own bed is for sure the very, very best!
If you havent seen the NW site, I have written the last camp diary there. Click here to go there and read it;=)
The week in Finland was so nice and I am really thrilled over the demo and the album. So fun to sing it and as usual a great time with Tuomas and Tero in the recording studio.
Taking the baby and working there worked really well. Johan just called me when it was time to feed him and I went over and then back to the studio. Since we recorded 3 songs a day we only worked around 5 hours per day which was enough.
This week we are gonna do some painting in our living room, I´ll take nice long walks in the autumn weather, meet friends and start planning the little ones baptising which shall be done in appr 1,5 month.;=)

It has been very exciting to read the studio diary, and your final entry has made me long for the new album even more!
It's funny that you say you are planning on doing some decorating in your living room as I am considering doing the same, actually I would like to redecorate my whole flat but I suppose I shall have to be patient and just do a little at a time!

I was in Sweden for two weeks and arrived back home in England yesterday evening and I couldn't wait to sleep in my own bed. For you are quite correct, no matter how much you enjoy yourself while you are away, there is never a place that can quite give you the comfort and relaxation that your home can. It was very nice to read the last diary page, the new album sounds like it will be most wonderful. It’s excellent to know you enjoyed your time in Finland, I am sure it must have felt great to be singing the new Nightwish lyrics. I myself have been doing some cleaning and organizing, so apparently it’s the time of year for it. I also have a love for autumn, and I have already been spending much time outside in it. The leaves changing color are simply beautiful, and that combined with the cool, refreshing breeze and the warm sun makes it completely wonderful, so I am glad you will be enjoying it as well.
Anyway, I am very much looking forward to the next album, but I am so glad that you guys are taking your time on it, for I know it will be wondrous. I have no issue whatsoever with the wait, as a matter of fact, I am grateful that all of you are doing it at your own leisure. Well, I suppose that’s all then. I shall look forward to your next post whenever you find time to do so :).
I also would love to see a picture if you decide to post one, though this is entirely up to you, of course :). We all love your beautiful smile, it lightens our hearts.

ReplyDeleteI also have to agree that there is nothing better than home and your own bed. I'm really going to miss mine as I'm moving to London on Sunday (300km from where I live in the countryside.. SCARY!!) to go to university and I wont be back home until Christmas. A very scary but exciting prospect!

ReplyDeleteNice to hear that you're back in home and everything went well! This is the first time for me to write a comment for you here in your blog even though I've read it since you started to write it.
Today I had an nationwide oral exam of Swedish in upper secondary school. One part in the test was like that you had to read the given text in Swedish and then made questions to your partner. And do you know what was the topic of the text? It was Anette Olzon! I was really surprise that Finnish National Board of Education has chosen this kind of topic! :D
The text told about your thoughts of living in big city or little village and so on. I think this was the best topic for the exam that I've ever had! So quite many Finns are speaking about you in their Swedish oral exams ;) Have you already heard this?

God bless the baby!! I'm so glad to hear that having the baby at the recording studio went well ... for some, that would have been really tough! I just wanted to let you know, Anette, that I had taken a long break from listening to Nightwish - I had a weird, rough year and everything I loved seemed to kind of go down the drain. But two nights ago, I listened to it and realized again how much I truly LOVE your voice. God has given you SUCH a powerful, incredible talent and I'm truly glad that I am able to experience it :-) So thank you!

Now with relaxed walks in the autumn air is good for the soul and body. Baptizing your son is most definitely a nice thing for him. My spiritual belief for the birth of my son was to present him through an indian ceremony with mother nature and the spirits within which turned out to be very beautiful. Anette, I got so happy 'cause Wednesday I got to meet Marco before the Tarot concert!! It was a PART of a dream fulfilled... it was hard to believe that it was really him who was there!hehe I got my Nightwish albums autographed! It was something I longed for so many time... but my dream will only be complete when I get to meet you and Tuomas and Jukka and Emppu and get all the autographs as a memory.. XD

I think I've said it a thousand times but I'm really, really, really eager to listen to the new album.. I know it will take a little (LONG! =b) time to be released =.= but I'm figuring out how it will be.. You said Nightwish is turning a litlle to how it was before... I'm curious about it! It took me some time ( and many DPP listenings ) to get used to the new style and now I completely love Dark Passion Play! well, all I can do is to wait.. =.=

I'm just watching "Ever Dream live at Werchter 2008", it's great!
Today I was in museum in Majdanek, it was a German Nazi concentration camp. It's terrible what Nazis were doing with people! There were 78,000 victims, 59,000 of whom were Jews. In the museum there were also people from Israel, some of them were just crying.. That was so sad. Concentration camps and all wars will always be something I don't understand. I just don't understand how anybody can kill the oher man.. :(
It's been long time sice you wrote something about clothes.. I need new clothes but I have no idea what to buy. :p
