I have written it before but I still get questions about this now and then, so Alisa and everyone else wondering about if me or any in Nightwish has Facebook etc:
No, we don´t if it´s not stated officially in our Nightwish website. For example, I have someone claiming to be me in facebook but it is not me. My space is the same etc... and the same with the Facebook page that has now occured claiming to be Tuomas - it is not his site.
So if you wonder about if it´s us, please check NWs website and the links we have there. Those are the only sites that are approved and official by us.

ReplyDeleteYeah I have seen a couple of pages and sites over those social pages and it's kind of funny because, I know Tuomas does not like this things lol, and you have this blog as well so, I wasn't all conviced that those could be you.

ReplyDeleteI did already knew that, and I cant understand how some people really think, that Tuomas or you can be at Facebook, etc. First you have other things to do and second, everybody should know that everything about famous person in facebook etc is just a fake ;=)

ReplyDeleteI have Facebook and Hi5 and there are lots of People with the names of all Nightwish members!!One thing is a tribute page or something like that,the other thing is when they pretend to be you and the other members!
Even my sister doesnt believe that you are the person who writes in this blog,but she is stupid lol(sorry) xD

I have seen the bogus facebook page you mentioned and knew it was false right from the start. For one thing the person who was claiming to be Tuomas was showing pictures of "my house" and "my parents" and secondly he was leaving an email address on the details.. We all know Tuomas is a shy person who guards his personal life so he would never willingly disclose such personal facts.

@Anette: I already had seen so many fake profiles of members of Nightwish at Internet,specially in relationship's sites like Facebook,Orkut and also various fake emails of the band and of the members in MSN Messenger.
ReplyDeleteInternet is wonderful but it is also dangerous,I think the fans would to be careful with this,we never know what the person on the other side of the screen is planning for us ^^

Although I know Tuomas's Facebook page was 100000% fake, I added him as a friend anyway to see what this person was up to. Nothing too special there, really, and nothing there I haven't seen anywhere else on the net. This person has even posted some of your pictures from this blog, Anette, which I thought was quite funny - and of course no photo credits are given at all.

But the more incredible is the fact that some fans believe that, singers, musicians... will be with their own identities on facebook... You have your private life, and if one day, you will have a facebook, I presume that you will change your name if you want to share private informations with your "real" friends, we can't be your friend !

Yesterday I was so impatient for the Eurovision Semi Final. "Playing with fire" from Romania is a very very good song. Yes, it's catchy and both vocalists have excellent voices! And, for me, the " opera part" was absolutely divine. Her voice was so clear and pure. I am proud of them. Go Paula and Ovi!
I also liked Azerbaijian. Not that much the whole song but that part " drip-drop" it's catchy and kinda sweet :)). A very nice song. ( in the last years Azerbaijian was in my top 3 in ESC contest :P...good music)
And then was Turkey which I really liked. Rock, energy, show...very good :D. I am little bit nervous for the final :))).

ReplyDeleteFacebook Tuomas also has really bad English! Facebook users can report him as an impersonator, which I have done, and I hope others do, too. Hopefully, if there are enough complaints, the profile will be taken down. I also sent this guy a link to this post.

ReplyDeleteI have seen so many people on facebook claiming to be you, tuomas, etc.. and It's ridiculous. Some people actually believe it's you and post questions and other stupid stuff on "your" facebook wall. I would imagine that you would have better things to do than get on facebook and read the millions of updates you would probably receive. ;) But thank you for confirming that your impersonators are definitely not you.
If the band ever does get a facebook or anything, please let us know! :D

it upsets me when people pretend to be someone alse on the internet. like you think your talking to the person but really its someone alse. though you wanna hear something funny? theirs this reality tv show called tabathas salon takeover. not sure if youv herd of it. anyway i am a huge fan of the main person of the show ( tabatha). and funny enough she happens to live the next town over from me. anyway i had messaged her afew times on facebook before. i wasnt really sure if it was her but i figured id give it a try since im a big fan of hers and figured it would be worth it if it was her. anyway i went to the mall afew weeks ago. walked into a makeup shop and codnt belive my eyes. it was her. in the store in the mall i go to buying makeup. after about 10 seconds of me standing there staring at her. wich btw she knowticed and i was really embaressed. i walked up to her and started talking to her, freaking out that i was meeting her. anyway long story short. i toled her my name, and she sayd. ohh heyy i got your message on facebook. soo how do you know if its the real celebrity on facebook? when they tell you in person that they got your message haha. anyway i thought it was a pretty funny story. thought id share it with you :). you might actually enjoy this show.

usually say that they are fansites.
Kinda creepy that there are so many,
but yes, most don't say that they're fansites.
We all know you only use a blog,
so why bother with it? Just let them do
what they want because you can't exactly do
anything about it. It sucks, but it's true.
But yeah, most say they are fansites,
people just don't read everything at the side.
Most aren't really claiming to be you.
They talk like, "Anette Olzon was..."
Not, "I was...". They're talking in a
different perspective and point of view.
Just the people on those FB's
need to be more observant.

Hi Anette. Oh yeah, there are many people with too much spare time on their hands, I think they must be sooo bored that the idea of impersonating you or the NW guys seems cool to them. Thank God people know they're faking in the end.
