Hi all!
Tonight I have sent Johan and Seth to watch the new Tintin movie. I hope they will have fun!
Have any of you seen it already and if so - was it good?
While they are gone I have done some work. Tonight some email interviews and IDs for some radio stations. If you dont know what an ID is: a short little "trailer" where I present myself, our singles name, the name of the radio station and some greeting like Merry X-mas for instance. Did 10 of those and I always laugh cause my mouth always get into some mode where it cant say the most easy things. Dont know why but it happens every single time! But I made it and they are done and I can relax again;=)
Tomorrow morning I have the worst thing ever I need to go and do;=( One other big fear in my life: the dentist! She need to drill two big holes and that is my worst nightmare. So they always have to give me some calming stuff beforehand and then lots of needles with numbing medicine so I wont feel a thing. On top of this I need to have music in my ears so I dont hear that dreadful drilling sound...yak!
So my night will be nervous and I will not relax until this horrible thing is done... having babies is one thing, but the dentist...NO!
But I will be strong and do it and afterwards I will be proud of myself;=)
Keep all your fingers crossed and send me strength for this one. I need it!

ReplyDeleteYou do not need to be afraid of the dentist...everything will be ok, I am sure...fingers are crossed of course ;)
Just close your eyes and think of something nice..and you will see it will be done very soon :)

We are 2.. And I think a lot of people don't like dentist.
ReplyDeleteI have a lot of stress when I have to go.. But once it's finished, we are soooo relaxed! The next appointment is far :)

ReplyDeleteIs not so good to be afraid of the dentist. You have to think that she will help you and then you will be better ;) The dentist is the only doctor who does not scare me. I'm scared of all other doctors. For me comes the worst after the doctor's visits, when I have to take medicines. This is my nightmare!!! Every year I have to do the sports medical check and this is for me the hell! I do it already 10 years, but I'm yet scared. They control my heartbeat at rest and during exercise, the they control my blood pressure, if I see well and so on. I already know what they do, but I'm afraid in any case.
Of course I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and I send you strength for it. You have my support!

Tomorrow I have to write an important tast in school, so I have to go to bed too..
Last years, you always took pictures from you in the mirror (also before the dentist).. it would be great if you could do some in the future again. Thank you :)
And, one question: Have you ever been in Egypt ? I have been there for two weeks in the fall vacations, which are over now. I can really recommend this country.. its really nice ! And the sun is always shining !

There was just "an article" about dentists in the Finnish newscast tonight! They were telling of a new kind of laser drilling which doesn't make any noise, doesn't hurt a bit and you don't even need any anesthesia! After seeing that I thought that it would be just the thing you'd need to overcome your fear of dentists. They said that there are already ~80 of the laser machines in Sweden, so you should most definitely look into it! :)

ReplyDeletei've never seen the movie but i hope Seth and Nemo have enjoy it. About the dentist i can undestand you... i always went to him since i was a girl for severals problems. When i saw the needle for anesthesi i acted. Then the taste of the anesthetic it's really disgusting. My dentist when i was a girl he told me to calm down: breathing, concentration. I remember it as if it were now. Lucky i didn't have any problem anymore!
Be quiet and everything will gonna be ok! As you said you will be proud of yourself! All the streght to you!

But I can tell you, last time I had to let the dentist drill a hole for filling, and I wanted to try it without anesthesia, I was a bit nervous, but it worked out great and I didnt have that horrible feeling after you had a narcotic in your mouth...
And the drilling? didnt feel a thing!! (Its just that awfull sound and movement of the drill, thats all)

Listening to music is ever good. I'm also always Wennichen to go teeth cleaning.
And you have to always say something for this pain and keep your teeth in your mouth and do not end up later in the glass.

ReplyDeleteI haven’t actually heard of that movie, but I also hope that it’s good and that they have a nice time. I’m glad to hear that you’ve been able to get some work down while they’ve been gone; I personally find that it’s often much easier to work when I’m alone.
Hehe, I’m sorry that you get tongue-tied when doing the IDs, I’m sure that must be a little annoying even if it’s amusing as well. At least it all worked out, that’s what really matters :).
I’m sorry to hear that going to the dentist is such an unpleasant experience for you, I’m sure that mustn’t be any fun at all. So, I send you much love and support, and I hope it doesn’t bother you too much tomorrow. I’m sure it will all turn out fine :). Many prayers and much strength to you!

I saw it. It's a very good movie. A little "adult" for children, I thing. None the less very good. Recomended:)

Oh honey, I can really relate both to the nervousness / blabbering when I have say something really basic AND to the fear of the dentist.I'm wishing you a nice and non-painful visit to the dentist tomorrow, crossing fingers tightly for that!

ReplyDeleteI've only needed to drill once in my whole life, but the worst thing was to remove all four wisdom teeth. I don't like to go the dentist ever, even if they don't do anything special...

ReplyDeleteI agree about the dentist! My Mom told me once "It's just one day, and then it will be over". It's good that you have something to calm you and music...I always take some pain reliever before I go to the dentist.
Try to think of things that make you happy...sometimes that helps.

Haha. You just reminded of my little self. I used to be terrified, but now I can go to the dentist for about anything without being afraid.
ReplyDeleteIt will probably help you ease your fear by thinking this prevents a lot of problems for your health, so it's actually quite worth the effort :)
Cavities aren't so painful to get rid off if you undergo treatment as soon as possible to avoid them getting worse and attack your gums/nerves.

But still this is one of the biggest ones in your mind :=( BUT I know it will be ok, you will be relaxed really soon! Your teeth need care especially because you are a singer now;=P So, don't you worry to much because you will love to show your shining smiles at your concert in a few weeks.....hehe
