Hi all!
We arrived to wonderful Miami yesterday and wow, the weather is perfect! 28 degrees and sun and my pale Scandinavian face sure need it:-)
LA was just wonderful and I need to write about all the things we did when I get back home but THANKS to everyone who came to Gibson, to Key club and our signing session. My heart is just filled with gratitude and love to you all cause without you we couldnt have done our gigs in LA with such joy as we did:-)
I dropped some tears standing in Gibson in mother and father and it was pure awe seeing all of you before me. Thanks so much:-)
Now time to head off for our Metal cruise which will be great and I already met the Kamelot guys at the airport and they are the nicest ones.
Oh, and Nemo enjoys US a lot:-)

I hope you will also enjoy the cruise. I really would like to be in the sun and the warm weather too. But here in Germany the weather is not as bad as it could be... A nice warm winter with no minus degrees at all so I should be happy about our weather. =D
Would you share some photos of the cruise with us? It would be so nice to see some beaches and the sea to get a few summer feelings in these cold days. I am so longing for the summer... Winter is really the most ugly time in the whole year!
And I'm very interested in your outfit which you had in the LA-gig. Would you post a photo of this too?

well Do you know that Tarja is playing some nightwish's songs?? ..well the tarja's setlist is the same songs that nightwish play on live right now.

-OVER THE HILLS AND FAR AWAY
AND SOME ACUSTIC VERSIONS too
the fans are complaining because is basically the same old songs
"nightwish and Tarja are playing the same old songs"
The worst thing is that Nightwish is not playing songs of oceanborn, wishmaster, century child and angels fall first T.T (even when I am big fan of nightwish I think the same I am agree with that) because now the division between old nightwish and new nightwish is more big than before, and seeing the new setlist of nightwish I dont have words.. T.T
we know that imaginaerum is an epic masterpiece but.. we miss the old songs too T.T and if tarja is playing the same songs the comparisons ARE MORE BIG THAN BEFORE T.T
this fight is like a shadow , and the Tarja's fans are very rude and nasty.
and I saw some reviews about the secret and gibson concerts and the only one "complaint" was the setlist, "the same setlist of tarja"
but the good news in this reviews was your voice, now all are happy with your voice, they said that planet hell was made for you :D
I love your voice in planet hell was epic, big and superb bravo!!!

I had the wonderful and unique opportunity to see you live both at the Key Club and the Gibson. And I must say, Anette, I am so incredibly proud of the leaps and bounds you have grown as a vocalist. I have seen you twice prior in Phoenix in 2007 and 2008 and I must say, Saturday night was your best performance to-date. I am so very impressed by the fact that despite your natural, powerful, and raw talent, you have continued to refine and improve your vocals. And all your hard work and effort is blatantly obvious both in live performances and on Imaginaerum itself. And I know in my heart that many songs on the new album, if not all of them, could have never been pulled of successfully without you as the front woman. I truly believed that you brought a breath of fresh life to the band, and your vocals are allowing Tuomas to take the music in a direction that, prior, would have been inconceivable. Your performance was nothing less than fantastic, and you went well above-and-beyond my expectations. Slow Love Slow, your voice gave my chills. And the acoustic version of Nemo, which I heard was your idea, was just gorgeous. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

ReplyDeleteI saw videos of your performance in Hollywood, and what could I say? You were f*cking impressive, more beautiful than ever and singing as well as on the CD, even better!! I love your "acting" on "Scaretale", it's almost screams you're doing and I just adored it. The comments on Youtube are so positive, and I just love seeing how people now realise you always were (and still is) this amazing singer.
The tour is starting very very well, you're doing an amazing job and I really hope you're enjoying yourself. I'm very sad not to be able to see NW live but I hope it will happen this year anyway.
Though the new songs are great, I wish you could perform some oldies, like songs from Century Child or "10th Man Down" (almost my NW all time favourite!). I can't help hearing your voice on it and it sounds awesome, haha!

Also wanted to say how sad i am, i bought the VIP ticket for that, the ticket included a "backstage pass" with you guys (thing that never happened, they just kept us waiting in the back of the gibson..outside..freezing!!) also included a poster signed (didn't have your signature tho :/), included a guitar pick (they never gave us that), a commemorative laminate (didnt gave us that either :/) at the end, i wanted to go back to the lounge (were we supposed to have access to) but people there were so rude :/ they didnt allow it, they just scream at you to go out of the place :/ ... the show was great tho, but it was sad things went that bad around the show, i feel so deceived tho, they didnt gave us not even half of the things that they promised, i payed 275 for those tickets, some of the people of the same area payed 97 dlls, the only real difference was the signed poster after all...so i payed for a 178 dlls signed poster? =/ plus, i also felt really disrespected, you guys played the SAME show for people who paid 13 dlls at a bar to someone who paid almost 300 dlls to see y'all ...i know its not about money guys, but damn... i love you guys, i love nightwish to death, but i feel sad because all that happened, i wasted ALL my money on going there, drove from my hometown in México to L.A., waited for almost a year for it and i never thought i was gonna love the show and felt really sad for everything else :/

We saw you guys at Gibson. First concert for me, and it was quite an enjoyable first at that. Imaginaerum's album I could not find a song I disliked. You all had placed your efforts harmonically to a nice mixture of dreams, philosophy, and of course, sound. A wonderful recipe.
