I love LA! I think we will move here in the winter time from now on:-) checking swedish weather and seeing snow there, then looking out through our window here and the sky is totally cloud free, blue and 19 degrees... No complaints here:-)
Yesterday we went shopping in Beverly center and I found the most wonderful shoes I am gonna have on stage. High heels I actually can walk in.. Thanks to YSL, my new favourite shoes:-)
Now time to head out in the sun and later on Troy is going to give me hypnosis against my stage fright. I hope it works:-)
Enjoy your day now! Soon saturday and Gibson gig!

Hi dear!
ReplyDeleteI prefer warm weather to cold one too. I don't know how can you resist up there in Finland and Sweden. I guess I wouldn't go out of my home. I was thinking, you know that next week I'll fly to America? Well, ok, completely to the other side. Maybe it's better, sad thing to miss you guys for 5 days! Remember to show us some pictures as soon as you can.
All the best <3
Hello Anette !
ReplyDeleteI would love to go to LA :D I'm glad that you are enjoying the weather there,it could be a good idea moving there if you don't enjoy Winter in Sweden, but i find Winter beautiful in cold countries :)
I bet your shoes are awesome as always !!
I do also hope it works =)
Good Luck and i wish to you and the band all the best !! Can't wait for the show !!
Kisses and Hugs from Portugal

Good evening Anette!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to be in LA right now, but I'm here at home :( I have to wait your European tour to see you!
Glad to read that you found nice stuff there. I must say that I envy you. Here in Italy is soooo cold!!!!
I wish you all the best for the saturday's gig! Have fun!
kisses***
Hey Anette, Glad your enjoying LA
ReplyDeleteYou kick that stage fright in the ass!! You don't need it! You own that stage lady!!
Hope you enjoy yourself you sure as hell deserve to!!!
Kisses
Kelly

Hah! I went to a show last week to see a mentalist comedian. It was great. I ended up on stage twice and the second time was one of the people hypnotized. Strangely enough, that part of the night is very fuzzy for me. I hear that hypnosis works well for things like phobias and quitting bad habits so hope it works out for you!
ReplyDeleteYou must be having a blast in LA :) Can't wait to fly down to the warmer climate for the week! Good luck with the shows!
Hi beautiful! Can you tell me if Nightwish will come to Costa Rica? I wait your answer!!!
ReplyDeleteAtte: Juan Brenes, a fan of you!!!!
Hi Anette, I miss your charming presence. First I want to congratulate you and all of Nightwish for global success. Here today I read that in Canada the album is # 13 in the charts, this is wonderful. Again I will say that all deserve this recognition. I'm sure in the future will continue to be assessed higher your creation.
ReplyDeleteAs for stage fright - just trust yourself (I know it's easy to say but ...), believe that everything will be fine, audience will surely be great and I am sure that the entire concert will cause great admiration.
For you personally, I wish calmness, and all as a whole SUCCESS and high spirits.
Anette, please post lots of photos or videos for all of us, who are not able to be at your concerts.
With lots of smiles and best wishes - Rositsa from Bulgaria

Hello there dear Anette and the band!
ReplyDeleteI'm very pleased that I've finally seen You back on the stage! The yesterday's concert must have been great! I've seen some short films on the Internet and I think it was magnificent! I wish I were there!
How did You manage to sing SCARETALE in the same way as on the album? I mean the voice.
How was it for You to sing PLANET HELL and OVER THE HILLS AND FAR AWAY for the first time?
I need to admit that I thought You would play LAST RIDE OF THE DAY as the last song. I think that song is good to end the concert. :)
I do hope You will update the setlist after the next concert in CA! :)
Take care guys!
Hugs and Kisses
Mateusz from Poland
I just wanted to wish you luck at your gig! I can't make it (I live in NY) but I really wish I could be there! You'll like the boys from Dommin, super talented and really nice. =]

Hi Anette! LA sounds great, I'm glad you're having a good time there! :D
ReplyDeleteI'm listening right now to the recordings of your yesterday night's show at the Key Club, on YouTube, I just wanted to say you all were amazing! *claps* Shame I don't live in USA xD I can't wait for your concert in Italy!
Wish you all the best!
Hi Anette!
ReplyDeleteSo nice to read your bloggings, You're very grounded person :) One can really hear that in this Nightwish album you got to show what you are made of! So I wish best for you and see U and Nightwish on Jyväskylä, can't wait!
Are you kidding?! I live here in LA and it's been so so cold! I guess compared to Sweden it would be warm though.
ReplyDeleteI loved the Thursday night show, especially the acoustic Nemo. That was awesome. <3 <3
Hi Anette,
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that you’re enjoying your days in LA – I hope it stays that way and you continue to be blessed with warm and beautiful weather :). Well, I’ve seen some videos on Youtube from a very talented band from Finland and Sweden by the name of Rubber Band of Wolves ;), and I must say I was very impressed.
What a way to start off the tour :). It all sounded wonderful, though I was only able to find videos of a few songs, I’m sure a lot more will be posted from the Gibson show, as that will be the first official one. As it is, what I was able to find was outstanding. I was very curious to see how Scaretale would be performed live, and you completely blew me away. I think the studio version is outstanding, but the live version is easily twice as good, it was so nice to hear even more of your dark/harsh vocals. You truly are so versatile and talented, and I can really hear how hard you’ve worked. I love your soft, clean voice, but this new style is equally wonderful and I hope to continue to hear more of it :).
I was also able to hear Song of Myself and Last Ride of the Day, both of which sounded amazing. Slow, Love, Slow sounded beautiful :).
I hope you all had fun, because it certainly seems that the crowd did. Oh, and your dress was gorgeous – so flowing and elegant.
All the best to you and the guys – I hope everything goes well in Gibson and that you all have a wonderful time :).
Much love,
Alexandria
Hi dear!!
ReplyDeleteThe warm weather is so very nice =)here in México is warm too, about 24 degrees. It's great that you are enjoying your time in LA , is a great place.
I hope to see those cute shoes you bought!
xoxo
So...I just little longer snooze - between working days I have slept a little bit too little and working days hasn´t went so good either. Some times have been on mind that should I quit the thing and try something else, have had mostly just ask things cause they hasn´t been told otherwise really. At times has felt that has been same has I been on work or not...if to me are so jealous about something, maybe that would be nice to know what that might be then.Yeah well, previous guy may was better but maybe would be nice to know too that on what way I should be better that what I have been to this far.I don´t see need to talk any specially with other peoples.
ReplyDeleteThere´s quite many days when I have been on round last time so I try to go today and possibly on sunday too.One good thing is that with my car hasn´t came actually any problems for now - and other one is that mainly this Imaginaerum hasn´t affected to me any specially.
Well,I can understand what is like to be on stage but with fright I don´t know how to help so maybe you self know better....I wish that your gig will succeed good as well as on that cruise, and otherwisely too - also that audience would be with some way.
I have had on mind to go party, would be actually nice already but might come things ahead to what doesn´t have power now, necessarily.Atmosphere on home hasn´t been so good that either.
With this I have felt that little breaks have been good but some times that has timed quite badly though thing would been informed earlier already. So,today should still try if about works would come something and sunday should be free then. That is party already you know - one total free day on week,oh yeah.Heh heh
So,good night and good afternoon continue to there
Yaay, Troy seems to be a good hypnotist!! I have just watched the RBoW gig on Youtube and you seems to be perfectly relaxed, no track of stage fright. :) Cool performance. I hope you enjoyed it as well. :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck for the Saturday gig! You all deserve great success!
Hugs,
Beatrix
I love it here! It would be nice to visit Sweden and the snow, but I don't think I could live there. ;)
ReplyDeleteYou were so amazing last night! The crowd was so into it with you! Planet Hell was perfection! Thank you so so much for taking it on!
I wish I could have come met you at the signing tonight, but we're having a bit of car trouble. Will be at the big show tomorrow, though! :D
Thanks for helping make my first Nightwish show (and hopefully second ;D ) the best time EVER!
Awww Anette, I think you are the most talented woman in the world. I hope you do not get scared on stage. You are amazing, and are my hero.
ReplyDeleteP.S. - Enjoy the warm weather! I am here in the snowy mountains in Pennsylvania, though I do not mind the cold that much.
- Mark McMahon

ReplyDeleteTisa not Lisa
Hi Anette! :)
ReplyDeleteLA is lovely, really. ^_^ Warmer than where I'm from, too!
I saw you the other night at the Key Club, which was AMAZING, and went to the meet & greet yesterday evening. Meeting you (and Jukka, Emppu, and Marco!) was absolutely wonderful, you're all such great people. Also, I wanted to say thank you so very much for teaching me to say thank you in Swedish: tack så mycket! ^_^ I'm excited to see you guys at the Gibson tonight. Break a leg! You're awesome no matter what, so I hope you don't have too much stage fright before the show. :)
-Allie :)
Hi Anette,
ReplyDeleteWell, I just wanted to wish you and the boys all the best for today. I pray it all goes well and that you all have fun. My support and strength to you!
Take care,
Alexandria
I prefer cold weather! I live in a very hot city in México. We are at 27° and it is winter! haha. Anette, I want to congratulate you for all the effort you are doing in Nightwish, congratulations to all the band. The album is being sold by itself, it's a masterpiece, I hope you come to México very soon, it would be great to see you on stage.
ReplyDeleteRegards!
Hi I'm Veronica and I wanted to ask you a question, because I like to make a Facebook page in Spanish re-post updates to your blog, but no cheese do it without your approval, please I would like to have answered as soon as possible to write on at the start of the tour.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your voice! And greetings from Argentina!
Hey Nettie!
ReplyDeleteMe again here! XD
I just came back home from a very nice day. A friend was so kind to let me use his paypal account to buy Nightwish sheet music. I found a couple of weeks ago a whole world made of heroes who managed to write them, and they are so nice to share them with the others. Now I'm happily drowning into your sheets. I think I have more or less 13 songs plus 2 videos I need to "crack" by myself looking at the pianist's fingers. Never enough, anyway. At the moment I'm learning "Taikatalvi", easy and only three pages.
Uhm, and yes, this is a little reproach: what about official sheet music? It's impossible to get all the songs on the web. How can I feed my addiction to your music? (Another day I'll tell you about me singing while having a bath, I think it's a funny story but if I write it here I'll make your blog crash)
Anyway the point of this long comment (I apologize, I love to chat) is not me struggling at the piano. The point is that I opened youtube to look a video of this guy: his name is Michal Worek. I hope he won't be angry I told you his name. If you have some time please go and look his version of "The Poet and the Pendulum". I guess he'd love your opinion, or maybe Tuomas' one, he's awesome. And young! I'd need years to play like him, or I'd need to sell my soul to the devil. I really think he deserves a quick private comment. But the point isn't him too. I know what you're thinking: if these weren't the point, I don't want to see what the real point is.
Well, the point is, I opened youtube and I found in the first page your "secret" show!!!
I don't think it was the whole show. I appreciated many song but I want to talk "a bit" about "Scaretale" (just a bit, don't hate me q.q). You already should know I'm deeply in love with Imaginaerum. But "Scaretale" is something more. It's not my favourite, if I should pick a pearl among the pearls. But in that song you are perfect. It's difficult to explain because the album is full of perfection. Did I expect less from you? No, I loved your voice and your singing from the first time, "Eva". But in "Scaretale" you are better than yourself! Epic awesomelisciousness :P! Do you know the tale "Pied Piper of Hamelin"? I felt like one of those mice. I had my hands in my pockets and was saying to the speakers "Take my money, I didn't pay enough for this, this is too good, it deserves more" (and here I should talk about how all my friends received the "Storytime" single as Christmas gift, but not today). The "squealing pigs" part is already a legend, all the piece is. I guess you already heard that many times. And in that live show, you have been epic as in the album. Maybe more. Ok, more. More for sure. I try to sing it in the bath and I know what it means. Think of me as a squealing pig, I'd be proud of that. By the way, wow, you touched those in the first row. How lucky they were. I think I won't be so lucky. But for sure you'll remember me after this comment. Eheh, sorry, don't hate me about its length. I assure I'm not a maniac. I'm just a girl who can't keep her mouth shout and, since I know your band from 2003, I have really a lot of things to say. Ok, enough for today, sorry again and I hope I didn't scare you. Congratulations for your first great live and good luck for tomorrow.
Hugs <3
I'm glad you're having fun, Anette! I was in LA like 2 weeks ago. Wish I went later in case I ran into you. Dammit! Good luck at the gig :D Oh and another thing: You did so well singing Over The Hills and Planet Hell. I'm so glad you got more confidence in yourself *-* Remember, only do the best for yourself (and the band) and not for the picky fans who think you can't sing squat! Love you always, Nettie :D
ReplyDeleteHi Anette !
ReplyDeleteI was there on Sep 19 2009, in the Hartwall Arena, I came all the way from France to see you guys play for the last time for the DPP Tour... And after that, I felt like an eternity was going to pass before your next show... And finally, tonight, you were back on stage, and I had the luck to be there too and assist the concert, since I am currently a foreign exchange student in LA. I was there to close the DPP Tour, and to open the Imaginareum Tour, and finally, everything in between these two shows went so fast... Time flies.
It was a great performance, and I was really proud of what you guys did of the old songs (Over the Hills was an awesome surprise), and I'm still in love the new ones... Some people say you are lucky that Nightwish took you in the band... I think they are really lucky too. You are all very talented guys, and it was a pleasure, as always. Three shows, and it's still as magic to see you guys enjoy being on stage.
Hope to see you soon again, I don't know in which country this time haha ! Have a safe trip home !
Hi Anette!
ReplyDeleteThe gig in Gibson was absolutely amazing!!! We are waiting for you in Russia!
Lots of hugs and kisses
Hi Anette :)

you are amaizing! very good job on your voice! we love you!
ReplyDeleteOh my Good! Anette your voice grow up! Really!
ReplyDeleteOn Polish oficcial NW fanpage everybody are shocked about your voice... Amazing!
Users on YouTube write:
- "Now if someone will say "Anette sucks! Tarja is better!" or "She can't sing!" is stupid, don't know anything about music and is true Tarja-maniac on advanced level..." (Scaretale)
- "She is really so much better now, so so much" (Wish I Had an Angel)
- "She is awesome and this is my favorite song. <3" (Planet Hell)
You are awesome and we love you ♥
Take care :)
Anette… I hope you read this, but anyway… Yesterday we went to the Gibson concert, and I just want to say that it was perfectly brilliant. You and all the guys did a terrific performance and a wonderful show. You are an outstanding singer, and I want to thank your effort for doing such a great concert. We came from Mexico just for this (and disney of course) and we the most satisfied people on earth… See you again at Mexico City… And again, the hats from the signing session and the concert are perfectly great!! Keep up the good work, cheers!
ReplyDeleteClaudio
Good evening Anette,
ReplyDeleteSo, I wanted to say big congratulations to you and the guys on your Gibson show. I wasn’t able to be there, but I’ve seen many videos from it now, which I’m sure don’t do it any justice, but even from them I can see how spectacular it was. Your interpretation of Planet Hell is simply breath taking, and I’ve been watching it on repeat. So powerful :). And the same with your interpretation of Over the Hills and Far Away; I’m so glad we have the chance to hear you sing these songs now. You looked absolutely beautiful, and your dress was gorgeous :).
You are really rocking that stage!
Well, I pray you all travel safely to Miami, and that you all enjoy the Cruise.
Much love and support to you!
Alexandria
Hi Anette! Just watch your first show of the tour, unfortunately only on Youtube( but it was amazing. New songs sounds great live! But my favorite one from this show - PlANETTE Hell! It was awesome! You sounds just fantastic in this song! And Great to see that you got better after illness)
ReplyDeleteSo let me congratulate you on such a great start Imaginaerum-tour and can't wait to see you and guys in Russia!
Best wishes and have a nice day!
The show at the Gibson was insane! The sound there is superb! Thank all of you for this chance you gave the American fans. All of the lights in the audience during the Islander brought tears to my eyes! And did you notice the bits of confetti scattered through out the Hilton before you left for Florida? Little peices innocently left behind by those who love you!
ReplyDeleteThanks again for being so understanding at breakfast on Saturday with the fans. and Nemo didn't seem to mind the time difference at all! He's so cute!!! My son talked about how cheerful he was all day!
Lastly, your dress was fabulous! Loved it loved it! And the make up was epic! You didn't seem scared of the pyro, and I knew when you skipped off stage afer Over The Hills that the fireworks were coming. So I got awesome photos of those!
Love you to bits and the rest of the band too. And thank you from the bottom of my heart for two great shows and one of the best weekends of my life!!
XOXO
Tisa not Lisa and Aaron
Hee Anette,
ReplyDeleteI saw little things on youtube of the gig you did 2 days ago. And wooow!
Over the hills you did very good! I like the way you did the chorus..
I can´t wait till you come to the Netherlands
with love,
Fay
Hi Anette!
ReplyDeleteI can't understand, that you dislike winter. I think it's amazing season. ;) But have fun in USA.
I couldn't go to your concert, 'cause it was too far, but I watched some videos in the internet and I think, that you were amazing. Especially in "Scaretale" and "Planet Hell". ;)
Greetings from Poland,
Paula
Dear Anette!
ReplyDeleteYour singing in LA was so clear and natural.
I think you really make people feel the song, thank you very much for all these emotions.
I wish you to overcome all your frights and continue to bring us joy =)
Hi Anette,
ReplyDeletewe were pretty surprised when we noticed you were having your breakfast just behind us in the Hilton lounge. My cousins (13 and 15 yo girls) are huge nightwish fans and it was like the best weekend ever for them - flying to LA, going to a Nightwish concert and having breakfast next to you. You seemed to have a great time so we decided to leave you&family alone, but it was awesome to see how much you enjoy LA. Maybe you remember us, we were 4 girls and 2 men - speaking german all the time. My older cousin wore a Kamelot Tour T-Shirt.
These shoes have to be good if you feel safe enough to wear them on stage one day after you bought them :)
Last but not least: I am incredibly happy nightwish found you and the way you performed scaretale was amazing.
Greetings from Germany!
Hi Anette! So glad you enjoyed LA. It was nice to meet you at the Soundcheck signing. Loved the hat! You were incredible at Gibson! Hope the cruise was wonderful, too.
ReplyDeleteHope Troy's hypnosis helped. I know you've got 5 guys on stage with you backing you every second. Know too, there's us in the audience. We support and love you. If it helps, picture us holding your hand or giving you a hug when it gets scary.
Cheers and safe travels!
