Fabric

Today we went and picked up our newest addition to our home - a wonderful big fabric we ordered some weeks ago and finally received;=)

The fabric is done to be hung between our livingroom and our bedroom. Since we decided to use the dining room as our master bedroom there were no door between the two rooms and we havent wanted to put in a door due to the fact that when we someday want to sell the penthouse, it´s better to give the new buyer the possibility to use the room as whatever they choose.

But we needed something to close so we and Nemo can sleep without the daylight shining in early in the morning and also to keep some sound out from the TV e.g.
Here it is and Busan wanted to be in there too;=)

We found this beautiful fabric from Designers guild when we passed the store - Norra H - one day and fell in love. To keep it a bit more sound proof we asked them to put another fabric on the other side against the bedroom, which is made for the purpose to keep lights and sound out.

The fabric is hung on a sliding rail so we can slide it from the door opening when we want to;=)

I also got some new pillows and I´ll go and get two more tomorrow. They have the same flowers on them as the fabric. I think it´ll look great;=)

  3. Hey Anette,
That's a nice curtain you've got there and the flowers look great. I would have personally gone for an Arabian style beaded curtain. You know...the ones that female Arabian dancers walk through in the movies

  4. I love this fabric! I think it contrasts really well with the wall because the design is very busy with a lot of colour which is complimented beautifully by the simple light colour on the wall; stunning!

I also adore the cushion, I would love some like that for my bedroom. I have an Indian theme to my room with beautiful drapes from the ceiling and down the wall behind my bed, along with other accessories so the cushions would be perfect, =).

    Have a lovely day.

  5. Hej Anette!

The fabric is very handy in your situation. Even though I don't like flowers in wallpapers that looks very cool. Great that you solved your door problem! :)
    Take care :)

  7. Yeah, decorations are very nice or they can be even great.Good side is that they don´t necessarily need much space and they can get quite many places except if wants something special.

    Ok,see you later
