But I liked Ireland a lot, Denmark, Ukraine, Slovenia and Azerbadjan. And the one I loved the most was of course our own dear Erik Saade and Popular;=)
And a 3rd place was super! The last years have been a disaster for Sweden so this was really what we neeeded;=)
BUT the big thing here is that the winner - Azerbadjan - was written by my dear friend and co-writer for my solo - Stefan Örn! He´s just a super good songwriter and I am soooo happy for him today;=)

BIG CONGRATULATIONS, STEFAN!!!
Stefan is in a band called Apollo drive and they are really great!
Here´s their song "Papercut". Enjoy!
I'm glad you like Slovenia's song :D
ReplyDeleteThat girl, Maja Kevc, was 2nd in
"Slovenia's got talent" show and she has an amazing voice! Last year I couldn't believe that they chose the worst song on our "Ema," as it's called the show where we chose which song we'll send to ESC :)
(ps. I'm from Slovenia)
Otherwise, the song that won is also nice and it deserved to wing. On of my favourite ones was also Ukraine and Georgia :)
Have a nice day!
Hugs, Taja
@Taaja, yeah Slovenia was the best for me. Maja sings like Christina Aguilera, WOW.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite ones was Swizerland, but Europe didn't like this song, what's a pity.
Nina from Austria was very good, too. And I love Evelina Sasenko from Lithuania, amazing song. Moreover Iceland, Serbia and Georgia was great.
@Lorelay, hi! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like it. I would also say for her voice, that it's similar to Christina Aguilera's. At "Slovenia's got talent" she sang much better in my opinion, but I can't find the video to show you :(
And pardon me, it's Maja KeUc, not KeVc as I wrote - my mistake :)
I also think that Nina from Austria was good, too. :)
Azerbaijan :) But don't worry, even the former USA president Bush couldn't pronounce it correctly. :)
ReplyDeleteI liked Ell and Nikki's performance and song very much.
Haha, Ireland :) the boys were in our (UK) 'Idols' equivalent a couple of years back and nobody liked them (since that's meant to be more serious that the Eurovision) but everyone who hated the programme voted for them just to piss Simon Cowell off and they came third! They're great Eurovision material though!
ReplyDeleteI liked Finland, Moldova and Georgia :)
Best wishes

The song is very good. Congratulation to your friends! :D There were a very good voices but some song i didn't like them. Do you know the Blue from England? I liked them some year ago but the song of yesterday no.

it was entertainig as always but the voting system still doesn't work somehow. I mean wasn't the return of the jury part of the "we are trying to the destroy this neighbourly help voting system"? It's a bit boring if u already know in advance who gets 12 points from Serbia or Purtugal... hey but last year's winner was Germany and they have no friends *gg* so what do I know... ;-))
ReplyDeleteSweden was a big letdown for me this year. The music sounded cool but the vocals were kinda "meeeh" big time. UK was horrible, Oh Italy was nice! what cool entry and No2, wow! Sorry to my friends in Switzerland. They didn't deserve the last place.
I liked Ireland (Jedward is so funny guys!), Sweden too liked: Eric Saade's song was incendiary! But when Eurovision is begun, beside us was a night and my mom told me to go to sleep((( I haven't seen the full concert, but today I watched all performances in the internet:) It was a beautiful and exciting competition!!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day
With love from Russia, Catherine
Hi Anette!I like Eurovision song contest too, but I think there are a lot of interests behind the contest. I liked a lot Sweeden and Georgia but watch the Spanish performance and tell me if we deserve a 23rd place of 25 :( What a shame!
ReplyDeleteJedward...they really got on my nerves when they were on the UK version of Idols (X Factor).
ReplyDeleteBut they did well for Ireland. And that song was sort of catchy...
I just complimented Jedward...What is the world coming to? ;D
Best wishes, Ryan
Hej Anette!
ReplyDeleteIt was exciting final! Somehow the 13 years old girl woke up in me since I really liked UK's song. And the boys in Blue weren't so bad looking either :D I liked also Sweden's song. But I can't understand how Azerbajdan won. The song was kinda good but I didn't like the singers. Well, congrats to Azerbajdan!
I may had been many years between that I haven´t look that contest actually at all.
ReplyDeleteSweden was quite good though there was little Abba´´style´´on times,.Germany was surprise to me,the most I liked about that peaceable melody. And then was Slovenia, from that I remembered Iceland some years ago, that was good.
Good evening continue and see you
Hello Anette :)
ReplyDeleteI liked Moldova, Denmark, Finland and Germany. Lena's performance was better than I expected it to be. Azerbaijan wasn't that bad though. Congrats to them for winning the ESC. I think, the whole show was amazing. :)
Greetings from Germany
Sarah
Eric Saade is a winner for me xD I also liked these guys from Ireland,. So freakin' crazy and funny :) Maja from Slovenia has a great voice. Denmark and Estonia were also one of my fav. :)
ReplyDeleteHi!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations again for the wonderful country is Sweden :) And the bands is great, I will search about them :)
Kisses and Hugs
I was totally hoping for Sweden! I was thinking about how excited you must be seeing those votes being counted :D
ReplyDeleteHave a nice night!
Hi Anette :)
ReplyDeleteEurovision was quite entertaining, though I personally thought that it wasn't their best year. None of the songs stood out that much, unlike when Norway won with "Fairytale" But it was still fun to watch! But congratulations to Sweden! The song was pretty good I think :D
And if you think about it, 3rd in Eurovision, 2nd in the Hockey World Championship, the next thing should be 1st place! :D
Anyways, take care :)
Alexandrina
Thanks for posting Apollo Drive, Anette! Never heard them before, but it's instant love!
