  9. Good morning Anette,

Thank you for keeping us so updated on what’s been going on, because I know it’s probably a bit inconvenient to blog from the iPad. I pray that everything comes together nicely today; I’m sending you much love and support! Acting is for sure, a whole new world, but I hope you have a lot of fun and that everything goes well. I can see you being very good at this :).

I attended an acting class for over a year, I wasn’t actually in the class, a family member was, but I still had the opportunity to listen to a ton of advice, tips, and had a chance to observe a lot of people acting, so I actually have a few tips if you have any interest.

Many people think acting and theatre is very similar; this is, however, not at all true. Theatre is typically about being dramatic, exaggerated, and ‘making up’ everything that you’re doing. In other words, you’re just playing to a crowd and attempting to be convincing, even if you’re passionate about it, rather than actually believing and feeling what you’re doing,

Acting, on the other hand, is about actually feeling and believing in what you’re doing, and being entirely real, rather than being dramatic or ‘forced’. A great way to achieve this is to always have backstory behind your character or the scene that you’re doing. It doesn’t matter if the backstory isn’t related to what you’re doing, as long as it helps you achieve the right feelings. For instance, if you’re character is supposed to be really sad, you could think about a loved one or a pet of yours that passed away.

Well, I hope some of that was useful. Different things work for different people, of course. So anyway, I pray you have a wonderful and productive day :)

    Take care and warm wishes,
    Alexandria

  17. I still find it incredible that you suffer from stage fright. I mean you sang in front of a Wacken audience and how many people where there? common Nettie, YOU ROCK!!! :) you don't have to be frightened at all. I only saw you once live and that was in Slazburg, Austria. There I met some guys whot are not into NW at all but were forced to go to the show because their girlfriends are into the band big time - and you know what: when you said "ich liebe sie alle" to the audience they had a huge smile on their face and left the show with a positive vibe. :) you're gonna get them all ;-)

  25. Hey Anette,

Some days ago you answered questions I had to your exercising regimen and I felt bad that it's taken me so long to respond and thank you. It was really nice of you to take time to answer it in such detail, and it made my whole week.

I'm trying to take your advice; it's just super difficult staying on a routine after getting sick. I was sick for two weeks and it's depressing to see endurance go away so quickly.... but I'm telling myself if you could do it after breaking a rib, I can do it too.

You'll do wonderful on set, and you have no reason to fear anything. You're strong, confident, and talented, and you are kind and inspiring to those who look up to you.

Thank you so much again and good luck,
    Irena

  30. Hi Anette!
I've been reading your blog since the beginning and always liked your advice about life, friends, school, etc.
I'm 16 years old and I'm going through a pretty hard time now. 6 months ago my grandpa died and I still feel super sad about it even though my parents are very supportive and I still have a great relationship with my grandma.
So that makes that at the moment I don't feel strong or like I could take much.
I've always been a person that people consider as "weird" even though I try to be as "normal" as possible, some people never liked me.
But since a week people at school (I don't know who) are writing things about me on schooldesks. Like, (my name and last name)has horrible hair, stinks, is ugly, looks like (something ugly).
In the beginning I didn't mind but now there are a lots of message like these on the schooldesks and today I broke down when I came home and I just feel so sad. It's just so much to take at the same time, losing my granddad, ending the relationship with my boyfriend, being bullied, changing from class, etc.
And I just have no idea who tries to bring me down.
I wanna be strong and I hate to be weak, but now I'm just fed up with these comments that are so humiliating...
I'd like to have some advice or just a few words to comfort me if you find the time to answer me.
Otherwise it will be okay too. :)

I just love you for you being a great person and singer and I'll read your blog till the end because it always makes me feel better.

Keep up the good work, Anette, and I hope to see you back soon in a gig or something like that. <3
