The roads are a disaster and you cant drive more than 50-70 km/h today so it took me quite a while to get my son. Then we went to the tire shop to do an after-check on the screws holding the winter tires and then I needed to drive to BMW to get them to do a programming thing in the computer. The car doesnt understand when the tires are changed, so it "believes" I have a flat tire and are putting out an alarm in the display, so to fix that, they just go into my menu and re-programme it. Easy beasy;=)
I bought some x-mas gifts to my son today and looked at some to others. Will continue tomorrow and in the weekend. I also found a new TV which I will buy tomorrow, cause the one I have has a white pixel line going straight through the screen and its been annoying me for 1 year now...;=( And the new TV will be the new LED technology so watching movies will be so nice now. I love watching movies as you might have figured out;=)

-8 geez that's cold. I am sat nice and warm looking out at our first light snowfall and I love it, I know it's cold but it looks so beautiful and even though there isn't much at all the local ids are out playing.
ReplyDeleteSanta came early to my house (last week) and we got a nice new Full HD tv and I'm loving it. We have a PS3 so we can watch bluray films and we are getting high definition tv channels on the 28th of December so I can't wait for that. I can't wait until Nightwish are able to record a full concert in High Definition as then it will be like your in our home singing to us. Have a nice warm evening.

I hope to one day go to Northern Europe. I've only been to Italy and it was an amazing country. I hope to get to Finland, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Denmark someday. I guess we shall see.

ReplyDeleteGot a beamer?! Nice, beautiful cars. Also if your going to get a TV, be sure it's an LCD not Plasma and at least 42" and above because 1080 Pixel really looks nice on widescreen. Plasmas don't really last long in general. Besides that, I want to thank you for telling Maria where to send x-mas gifts because I really want to send you something special. I also would like to share something personal with you about something that happened to me if you can be so kind and accept my email address for a return message that would be great. We had the same problem with the TV, but the shop gave us a new one because the line came after a few moths =)
ReplyDeleteAnd it's cold in here too, we got free of school because of the heavy snow =D And I wouldn't have been able to get at school anyway because I couldn't even get out of the street by bike and the busses weren't riding =P
Just hoping tomorrow will be this white too, so we can have fun in the village instead of sitting in a boring class-christmas-lunch. I don't like my class so I'm not looking forward to that xD

ReplyDeleteMy day wasn`t such a blass hehehe Since it was too hot here yesterday, today the rain is pouring down since noon (it`s 5 in the afternoon now) and it just won`t stop rainning!! some streets are flodded and I am all wet because I had a doctor`s appointment today and.. the funny part was.. My feet gor a little sunburn... from the rain.. can you believe that? hahaha
I was wearing sandals today and I was in the rain, but we also had sun for a little while and I didn`t put sunblock on my feet.. they`re a bit red now.. just a little bit.. but it`s too weird to get sunburn when it`s raining hahaha

So I said that the snow was beautiful, it indeed is. But being on the road isn't that much nice, like you also said. :s I had to drive to the busstation to take a bus to my school, but I didn't dare to drive more than 45km/h. And I already was slipping a bit. But I don't have winter tires. Here in Belgium people are not used to get winter tires in the winter, it's not commited in also. We have snow like every year but totally not much, mostly a few days. Most of the people only take winter tires when they go on a holiday to Germany or something in the winter.

Well, my day wasn't wonderful actually... It was snowing and I had to get to the uni, so the train was delayed and in Antwerp the roads were really slippery. To top all of that, my professor decided to just say merry christmas, these are potentional exam questions and happy newyear *sigh* So after being 3 hours on the roads, cycling through fresh snow, I was finally home.
ReplyDeleteApparently I wasn't the only one though, all traffic in Belgium is a disaster when there's snow, we are just not prepared for that. Over there in Sweden it seems like you are used to that and prepared with winter tires and everything.

It´s cold, but then only need to wear more clothes :D Only thing is, that I haven´t heaterplace to car and it takes time I can see anything from car´s windows.. And surely my dad like very much that I drive his car and don´t heater it :S Luckily it´s almost new car and it get started still :D

Scandinavia is having this Siperia-like weather. How freezing! But no doubts, it's very beautiful! I hope on Christmas would be as beautiful weather as now.
Altough every year i decide to get X-mas presents early enough, i'm still late. My weekend will be full of X-mas present and decoration preparations... So I'm glad to hear that someone like you has still possibility to get presents for everyone. Altough it seems that you have lot of other things to do beside Christmas preparations! Where do you steal all that time from? ;D

ReplyDeleteAh, this computer-things in cars are only practical if they work. I am always a bit annoyed that things nowadays became so complycated that one cannot repair them by oneself anymore. Noone except very small amount of experts understand how our machines really work *grrr*. But well, there are also many advantages in new technologys, aren't they. So I hope your car-problem will be repaired soon.
