Its only 2 more days before we fly to Thailand now and I am sooo excited;=)
I´ve gotten nice emails from the travel agency with suggestions of trips to do when being there and I think a trip to Phi Phi Islands will be done, a trip to go elephant riding and also a cave trip in canoes;=) Other than that, we have a 5-star hotel so I think we can just lie by the beach and read books and enjoy the sceneries. I just wished we could have stayed for 2 weeks but my bf needs to work on new years eve and that sucks, but work is work and 8 days is better than nothing;=)
I´ve never been to Thailand before but everyone who has been there says its amazing. If we like it I´ll book a trip for next x-mas again;=)
I hope you have a lovely time Anette. A friend of mine has been and she said it was wonderful - stunning scenery! Isn't the Phi Phi Islands where they filmed 'The Beach'? I'm not sure... Anyway have a wonderful relaxing Christmas and enjoy the elephant (and the yummy Thai food!!)

Yes, 8 days is really not much but enough to dive into an totally different world for at least a little impression. Try to size the days! And relax!!!

Hej Anette!
ReplyDeleteVad kul att åka till Thailand!
Hoppas ni får en toppen semester!!!
Kram // Sofie

I hope that you have wonderful vacation, you deserve ;-)
ReplyDeleteThis place of that pictures seems to be amazing, for sure you will have a great time there =)
Oh, don't forget the sunscreen. The sun in the tropics can be hot sometimes. I do not know if the climate in Thailand is similar to that of Brazil, but if is, the sunscreen is indispensable hehe=D
Have a great day,
Hugs and best wishes from Brazil =)
Hey Anette :)
ReplyDeleteI'm excited too.
I wish you and your Boyfriend a nice relaxed vacation in Thailand. But I heard that elephant's riding is an animal cruelty.
What do you think?
How much degree are there in Thailand? Will you write in the Blog ? Please, take some nice photos for us.
Have a nice Trip.
Take Care.Hugs <3
Oh wow! I hope you have loads and loads and loads of fun! Sounds fantastic :D.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I need to ask you for some advice, Anette. (not the best post ever to ask it in, but whatever).
Anyway, I recently saw a movie called "All About My Mother" (highly recommended!) and there was something about it that was so sad that it's still stuck in my brain after a week! I experienced this prolonged catharsis. Since then I've also started listening to Dark Passion Play nonstop for some odd reason, and getting very emotional during Poet and the Pendulum and Meadows of Heaven. This has never ever happened before! I have no idea what is going on with me! I nearly burst into tears during "Mother and Father" while driving to school!
Anyway, Anette, how do you get over (or at least how would you recommend getting over) this kind of situation? It's really distracting me from my schoolwork and all that, and every time I think about it i just get all emotional all of a sudden! Any advice?
Thanks so much Anette and I hope you have a great time in Thailand!
~Max
That sounds really exciting, especially the elephant riding - elephants are such lovely animals. Make sure you take plenty of pictures for us!
ReplyDeleteIf it's ok, I'd like to reply to Bornconfused's post:
ReplyDeleteEmotions are difficult things to deal with, particularly when you can't pinpoint the reason for why you feel a certain way. Just remember that moods like this will pass, even if they take a while to do so, and that you are perfectly entitled to feel upset even if you don't know why. Expressing emotion is healthy.
I hope you feel better soon. Meanwhile, try not to isolate yourself: it is tempting to hide away when you feel sad but friends are the best people to help you feel happy again.
*hugs*
Well, Thailand looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIf you can will you take pictures?
Elephant ride should be fun, never done
that but I have done stuff
with giraffes...anyway, canoeing is always
fun, I love canoeing.
But I think I'm as excited about you
going as you are! I can't wait
to hear how gorgeous it is!
I bet the sunsets will be really beautiful!
Hugs and love, Katie T.
Hi A - You will have a great time !!
ReplyDeleteThe elephant rides are amazing !!!! In Chang Mai we went through the rain forest - sheer drops But the elephants were extremely sure footed !! Thankfully.. It does feel like a long way up though...
Also explore the markets particularly in Bangkok if you get chance .. everything you could wish to see... although may not be the real deal so beware ?????
Look forward to hearing about your adventures !!
Warm wishes for a great time Peter x
Sounds so nice ^^
ReplyDeleteHave fun! Take a lot of pics to show us =)

ReplyDelete@Sari
ReplyDeleteThank you :D
That's really good advice! I just figured it would pass sooner, but I'm sure now that it won't take much longer..at least I hope not O.O
I've never been one to express any negative emotions. I let the positive ones fill me up and keep the negative ones down, which I guess isn't the best...
Once again, thanks :D. I'll try to follow that as best I can!

ReplyDeletePhi Phi Islands are a MUST if you are heading to that region of Thailand.
ReplyDeleteInfrastructure is still recuperating after the tsunami back in, what, 2004?, but there are still some amazing sights to be seen, albeit the accommodations can be a bit iffy.
Have fun on the trip.
