Transforming

Some of you ask me about my exercising methods and food etc and since 2 weeks I am following a programme I used to transform my body after giving birth to Seth. It gave me a lean and strong body and it was that body I had entering Nightwish. Now I have started this programme again- Body for Life - and even if it takes some time and hard work and discipline with the food, it suits me perfect. This time, though, I dont use the same weights as then and mainly use kettlebell and my own body, but if I dont see good results in some weeks I will switch back to regular weights again. Its all about trying out what works=)

Since I still am breastfeeding the body wont transform as fast but it doesnt matter, cause what took 9 to 10 months to "destroy" sure takes the same time to get back again. And its Nemo who decides when he wants to stop breastfeeding, not me, so I just try and relax and not stress to much over not getting in all those clothes I had before.

I just finished my intervall running on the tread mill and it felt really good today. That´s also something I have learned - some days it feels so hard to run and other ones so easy. Those less good days I still push myself and do it with stubborness and a big ounce of motivation. Motivation is so important going in to something like this;=)

If you have any questions dont hesitate to ask and I´ll try to answer them! And if anyone living in the US know how to get me some Myoplex Lite products to Sweden, let me know cause they are not sold here;=(

  1. Is good that you have the will to do all of these exercises even though in my opinion you look great and thin but of course we each know our body best.
I should start exercising but I have zero motivation, will power, and 100% laziness =p

Anette, it seems Myoplex Lite is sold anywhere here in the States, it can be found in Walgreens and Walmart but of course that's no help for you. You can buy it through Amazon.com and here are the international rates http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=hp_navbox_596184_ways?nodeId=596194

and also through http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/eas/myolite.html here you can see the international rates: http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/help/interrates.htm

I hope this is somewhat of a help.

  4. This book sounds good! I´ve already bought a "weight-loss-book" , but had to realize, that this is not suitable for vegetarians :-(((
Do you know, if your book could be helpful for veggies, too?

Do you sometimes use fitness DVD´s? I have a few, which I use from time to time: e.g. "Denise Austin Hit the spot" (very good!), "Winsor Pilates" (love it) and "Billy Blanks Bootcamp" (OMG that one is soo damn hard).

I wish you and your family a wonderful day!!! And I hope the sun is shining for you too, today! (in the very north of Germany it is and we often have nearly the same weather, than you in Sweden ;-))

  6. Hey, Anette

I'd like to tell you this.. I started exercising in autumn, when school started, cause we have GYM in our hall for physical. So I started doing some exercising at home around Christmas and I already see the results. I am taking my dogs for a walk almost every day (except when it rains or snows too much or if i have some other more important business) So, I planed to start running but I don't know what mileage i should start.. Is 1km too much?? I'd like to know how you started?? :)

    take care!

  7. Hiya Anette :D

So good to see you're going to get back into shape gradually. Got a bit of an odd question for you but has little Nemo met Jukka's adorable bundle of joy too? :) If so, what were they like together?

  8. Good Morning Anette,
Thank you for the info...I have been looking for a way to get back into exercising and so far no luck. Nothing interest me...I plan on snowshoeing but that's only once a week. My hours at work have changed so my body is all out of wack...I want something that I can use my body like you do and not take a lot of time.
I looked up the Myoplex Lite and Amazon sells it plus the Myoplex has their own web site. Good stuff?
You look great! It shows how hard and disciplined you've been...You rock!!
    Thanks again!

    Take care,
    Christine

  10. Hi Anette,
My friends at work use and stick to this program. One of them teamed up with her husband and the two of them entered a before and after photo contest. I don't remember of they won anything, BUT After three cesareans she looked amamzing using this! Funny how this is popular 5K miles away too. Oh and I saw the kettle ball commerical on television the other night. My husband laughed at me because I said, "oh that's what Anette bought." He says I sounded like you live next door.

  12. Hi Anette, you are already in brilliant shape, you look amazing in the photos! You have certainly got the drive to get the results you want, I wish you all the best, =).

I have a question: With reference to being disciplined with food, do you allow yourself to have some unhealthy snacks (like chocolate) at times or do you deny yourself all unhealthy foods at the moment?

Have a lovely afternoon, take care!

  14. How much exactly can you eat?? I always get major cramps in my stomach when I try to run, so I usually don't do it. Although I've heard that running is the best exercise since it works out your entire body. maybe I just need practice. But how many hours of exercise do you have a day??
lol, it's like you're not only the vocalist in my favorite band, but also our exercise and skincare adviser. Thank you for sharing your tips!
    take care

  16. I too was going to suggest Amazon (they have everything). Unfortunately, their website says that the products can currently only be shipped within the US. I noticed that a lot of people on e-bay sell them however. As long as you could find a store there with good ratings then the ebay seller may be more willing to sell overseas. It's very likely that you could find a wholeseller on there which would mean cheaper prices for you since they buy in bulk. A quick look myself showed that some people shipped overseas and some people only ship in the US. You'd just have to e-mail them to find out for sure.

  17. I forgot to add this:

As a side note you might want to consider homemade options. There are a number of very good recipes available on sparkrecipes.com (a website dedicated to healthy eating. All their recipes come with nutritional information and a site user rating system.

    Energy Bars - http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipes.asp?food=energy+bar&a=

    Protein Bars - http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipes.asp?food=protein+bar&a=

  18. Anette - I use that product when I am in a pinch for a meal. I buy it at my local grocery store, they are actually cheaper than going to a health food store which I find strange. Anyway, I do not know anyone who ships this product out of country. When I buy protein powder I go to a health store. Another good resource on training is Hugo Riveria (Do a search). Have a great evening.

  19. Arianna: Hi! Seth breastfed until he was 8 months old and I dont know about Nemo but he eats a little bit of food already to learn so let´s see when he stop;=)
The Body for life is a book and you can also learn about it in the website.
    Take care!

  20. Nightingale: Hi! In the food list they have vegetarian food too so I am sure you can use it too. Check the food list and see if it suits you;=)

  21. Thanks for the answer... your nice as always! :) What kind of food does Nemo eat?

  22. Croatian Idiot: Hi and congratulations for starting your "new" life and have got good results already! I think a really good thing when starting to run is to change between walking fast and run. For instance you could walk 2 minutes then run 2 minutes and do so for 20 minutes the first time. You shouldnt think about how far you run but set a time and do that the first times. Take it slow and let the body get used to running cause many people overdo it and get injured or ill. Good luck!

  23. Nolla: hi! No, they havent cause Jukka had already gone home when we arrived to the camp in september. But I am sure they will meet soon;=)

  25. The dreamer: yeah, I have done BFL already so many years ago but still it works;=) The things I would need is the Lite powder cause I can buy any other bar over here but not the powder;=( They have had it when I did this last time but not now. I think its weird that they cant ship from EAS overhere.

  26. Jasmine: Hi and thanks;=) I am so disciplined when I do something so I dont take anything I am not allowed to but in BFL you have one "eating day" and then I eat just anything I want, either its cake full of whipped cream or lots of chocolate. It varies from week to week what I feel like indulging myself with on that day;=)

    Domenik Amy: Thanks so much!

Little broken heart: I exercise 6 days a week, cardio 3 times and then 20 minutes per day. Weights I do upper body 2 times a week for appr. 40 minutes and then legs once a week for 30 minutes. I always do my stomach in the weight workouts.

  28. I also have sometimes those times while excercising that running feels so hard. It feels like I'm running as if somebody would have beaten my head :D But then I do like you do, I just dig my motivation and finish the excercise as well as I'm able.

    Go we! :)
