...cause we all got ill with the worst stomach flu!! First Nemo, then Johan and last me:-( I woke up yesterday morning at 5 and had to run to the bathroom! It just continued and in the evening I had over 39 degrees of temperature and understood that I wouldn't be able to fly to USA this morning:-
So here I am, feeling slightly better and hoping to get well for tomorrows show and flights over.
But I promise I'll sing as good as I can even if I'm tired and totally jet-lagged:-)
Fingers crossed!

Ah,that's what children do:when a kid get ill,the whole family does.Countless times I got sick just right after my little brother!I hope it won't last long though,and you all get better soon.

For the show tomorrow take tylenol xtra strength and motrin 400 mg. The combo can be purchased over the counter everywhere in US. It does wonders for the aches and sick feelings. It will last you through an entire set. These are what saves me when I'm sick. Well wishes to all of you!

Oh, dear! So sorry you've been ill. Forgive me if you already know what I'm about to say.
ReplyDeleteJetlag aside, it's very important to be well-hydrated after the effects of the stomach flu. One of the best rehydrants is coconut water (no sugar added, Zico is a good brand). It's loaded with electrolytes and potassium.
If you are still queasy or tummy is upset, ginger tea, mint tea or a bergamot tea (Earl Grey) is excellent for this.
Since your digestive system/gut is compromised then your immune system will be vulnerable too. Wheat grass juice is a super immune booster. Health food stores offer it in powder form. You can get it fresh (in Atlanta) from Whole Foods Market and Arden's Garden.

ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better. I'm about 30 miles from Atlanta, and I'll be leaving in about an hour heading that way to see your show. I can't wait. As of about 2 months ago, I had never heard of Nightwish. Then I started a Pandora radio station from a gothic band called Lacuna Coil. The station plays anything that resembles them, and it kept playing Nightwish. I immediately liked it. Then curiousity had me looking at the Nightwish official site. Then I noticed a local show that was only a month away. I immediately made plans to go. My friend, Tegan, in England is jealous that I'm going and she is not. I told her she can go when you get over there. The only thing different is the opening act.
Anyway, best of luck tonight, and I'll see you there.

The first night Godsmack and P.O.D. were also playing somewhere in Atlanta. Oh, Well. I would rather come and see you guys anyway.
