I was scared something like this could make you sad. But well, I should have remembered you're strong and shiny as a diamond and you take the good in that sentence!
But I must confess one thing: I'm a bit jealous! I mean, I accepted you as the lead singer from the very moment I opened my mail with the new vocalist announcement. Or better, I loved you as the lead singer! And I didn't had the chance to talk to you yet. And I'm not even sure I will in April. So please please please (imagine a very sad picture of me begging the screen on my knees), could you let us italian fans know if you'll find a moment for us? Of course you cannot know now, but what about the day before? It doesn't matter the place or the time, our skin is hard, but it would be an honour if you and the guys could spend some seconds with us. I assure I don't bite. It will most probably happen that I freeze as a statue and say something unintelligible that sounds like "Ngwshhh". T_T

ReplyDeleteWow the beauty and darkness that Nightwish delivers always makes me smile. Lookingg beautyful as always Anette, and it's nice to hear fans say that they now accept you as the lead singer. No offense to Tarja, but I do prefer your vocals to hers on many of the older songs, and the new songs just blow me away. The guitar is amazing as well it would be pretty cool to see Emmpu play it on stage next time you guys play that area again, or have it as a stage prop. I also have a series of portrait drawings I am doing, and I would like to add you to the series. I will not do it unless I receive your blessing upon it first. It's code of mine as an artist to ask before I begin a portrait. Image would be up to you if you wish to allow me to do a portrait of you.

Thank you Anette! I was also there last night in Teatria and it truly was pure magic. I've had my doubts about you as a lead singer too but after last night, I'll never doubt you again... You nailed the "new" Nightwish to our hearts and it will now stay there forever. You're voice made me shiver all the time and cry during "Over the Hills and Far Away". I have been listening Nightwish since '98, and ofcourse adored Tarja and was kinda surprised when she was kicked out of the band. But after this album I also agree, that I couldn't imagine a better singer to the band, than you. You just rocked in Joensuu! :)

For me you have always been the No:1 singer of NW I suppose because First time I see NW live was in 2008 with you & It was & is still the most amazing night of my life!!!!!Your voice gave me goosebumps!Now I am so overdue to see you guys :( I Keep checking the official NW site for UK dates i cant make the festival So I know I have to be patient & wait for the tour to arrive in the UK! I accepted you as the new lead singer from the first time I listened to DPP and heard your beautiful voice. I also loved Tarja and so I do today. She's nice and very talented. I never agreed that you have to like Tarja OR "new" Nightwish. In my opinion there is no "new" Nightwish. NW has always been NW and Tarja and NW are both absolutely amazing. But I prefer NW with you as the lead singer because I like your voice a bit more. For me it's kind of the perfect match now. I always thought that the fans have to accept the boys' decision. You were the best one to replace Tarja and I think the boys needed a warm-hearted person like you are. =)
And the guitar is so beautiful! People who are able to paint in this way are very lucky ones.

I was watching YouTube videos from Oulu and Joensuu and... well, you Anette and the guys made me cry and feel the deepest craving and thrill!The vibe of Imaginaerum is so powerful that I only stood with my eyes fixed on the screen and thought how inspiring your ideas and music are. Dearest Anette, I think you are a wonderful singer and that in Imaginaerum you demonstrate that much better than in DPP!I'm happy that you are the singer of Nightwish and I wish you a the greatest of tours!

It was hard for me to make the transition of a new lead singer, but you have such a beautiful voice and you compliment the guys so well, that the more I listened the more I liked, and after seeing you in LA at Gibson Amphitheater, my hubby and I both said "WOW!! Anette totally owns that stage!!" You are an AMAZING singer and performer and we are all so happy that Tuomas and the guys chose YOU! <3

Hey Anette...I was just reading your blog here, since I just got interest in you...I gotta say I'm a total Tarjaholic and it was really hard for me as well to hear a new voice on a band I love so much, and through all of the years of DPP I still couldn't bring myself to listen to you guys...Imaginaerum came and I decided to give you one more chance and expecting the least, I just got my headphones, turned off all of the lights on my room, little did I know the musical journey I was about to take for the next hour... I gotta say Imaginaerum really blew me away with each song, I never Imagined I would like anything from the new era, but you and the guys really blew my mind!!! I have totally reborn as a Nightwish fan, and I gotta say, you lady, have improved so much on your technique these last years, I'm proud and excited that I can now keep looking forward for Nightwish things again :D so congratulations!!! I now also accept you as the lead singer.

Thank you very much, tack så mycket :) I lost my voice because of all the screaming and singing along, palms ached because of all the hand clapping, and my foot were exhausted because of all the jumping.
