I just woke up and read the wonderful news that our swedish curling ladies team took the olympic gold again! They did the same 4 years ago and wow, the ladies sure made it! Congratulations girls, you are amazing!
WOOHOOOO!!!! GULD, GULD, GULD!!!!! GRATTIS!!!! Thanks for posting, Anette, i was hoping so much that Anette Norberg and her girls would go for gold again, they are really amazing!!! And they got it, yes!!!!
I watched the game here in Canada and it was a real nail biter! I am a curler myself and I love watching this game. Your skip made some really beautiful shots. I felt bad for our ladies, but silver is nothing to sneeze at, that is for sure!
Hehe, that's cool! :) And most of them are blond, typical Swedish :) But I guess there are also a lot off brunettes, or are still most of the Swedish people blond? Kram Daphne
I have missed all the Olympics this year due to lack of a television, however I'm not shocked even the slightest that the Swedish team won a gold in curling. Congrats to them.
I am watching the Swedish men play Switzerland right now. God, the Swedish skip is a seriously hot guy! Have you see the Norwegian mens' pants? They are creating a lot of talk! They are pretty wild!
I watched the game a while but then I really had to go to sleep since it was something like 3 am :D I have to say that I really don't understand this curling. I don't see how it is categorized as sport! Well anyway, congratulations, Sweden! =)
@ Sonia: curling takes strength, balance, hand-eye co-ordination, and in order to sweep like those guys, you need to be really fit. You also need leg strength in order to push off properly. It is also highly strategic and takes incredible skill to do well, like the guys at the Olympiccs to. I just curl in a local league and we suck in comparison! These guys - and women - are phenomenal. They work really, really hard to get to this level.
It was on the TV at the snackbar when I was eating there with a friend. Took us half of the game to finish our fries xD But we were cheering for Sweden, ofcourse ^^'
The rest of the people in there looked weird at us, tho.. ^^'
