One thing that is bad when the weather is so boring and we dont wanna go outside is to get food..especially when all the left-overs are eaten already;=) So today we took what we had and now I have made an oven plate filled with big pieces of potatoes, carrots, peppers, garlic and onions. Topped it with honey, oil and different spices such as garlic and chili. Then into the oven at 175 celsius for a while. To that we will eat fried eggs and spicy sausage. Well, maybe not the most culinary meal but anything goes to skip having to go outside;=)
And hey, olympics are sooo exciting so what is better than just sitting inside watching that? ;=)
...topped with honey? Oh my, it seems yummy!!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're busy with cooking too... I have only a few minutes left before i'll cook the dinner for the guests (hopefully we'll be only 4 persons), and i'm quite nervous, but aslo excited to do my meal...
Enjoy your dinner! :)
*hugs*
Steff

olympics are awesome i have been rooting for sweden finland and Germany but my Grandpa wnated to watch nascar so we put him in a different room. hey Anette when are you going to answer more questions i have been dying to ask you some stuff. have a good day.
ReplyDeleteHi Anette, i just has dinner with my mother and my grand-father. We ate hamburger and salade called valeriana. I don't know how is called in english. One question that i had since a long time: why in food mixed salty with sweet? No offese, just to know your custom. In Italy we don't use it but only cheese and honey. Enjoy your dinner and have a nice evening! Big hugs
ReplyDeleteDear Nettan,
ReplyDeletewhen its cold outside and snowing all time and we have just a pity of food, we make the same you did ;)
Often carrots, pepper and potatoes. Ofen potatoes with oil and self-made sour cream is fantastic. If you want I can give you the recipe ! Its wonderful on such days you are lazy for cooking or when the refrigerator seems empty. ;=)
Hope your evening was good and dinner yummie. I'm watching the Olympic games all the time and I'm crossing my fingers so much for Sweden and Finland. Must confess for Sweden a little bit more ;=) I saw skiing and I screamed when Sweden was place 1 for a while..
But now I'm sooo tired..I'll go to bed early because tomorrow my cat will operated by the veterenarian.I hope the best.
Okay, sleep well. It would be nice if you could send us a new photo of you, please.
Thanks so much that you are ever here for us.;=)
Your loyal fan
Laura
HUGS
Yummy :)
ReplyDeletehugs for you :*
@europerson: some times ago, Anette said that there will be more Q&A, we just have to be patient (i already asked). I cross my fingers it'll be soon, though, or i will end up with a dozen of questions or more...
ReplyDelete@Anette: my meals is done, and they eat everything! I've saved some of the cooked swedish berries before doing my sauce, to give a more interesting taste (it was great withthe meatballs, thanks to Ikea for the idea and Picard surgelés for the meatballs and berries). I then added the cream, and a few seconds before the sauce was ready, i add some Szechuan pepper in it. Everything was so much well done that i had no problem at all while doing everything, even with a hand taken by my crutch. And everyone said it was really lovely and original, and minus me everyone took a second plate with meatballs, pastas, berries and sauce...
Reading all your yummy recipes was a real inspiration for me (and you gave me tons of ideas of various meals too), so i really have to thank you. :)
Really, you should write a cooking book, you have very nice and easy to do recipes, and quite originals too.
*hugs*

Hmm, that sounds good. I love garlic and onion with a sweet flavor.
ReplyDeleteSometimes we here have to do with what we have, too. We add carrot, onion, mushroom, pea, broccoli, pepper etc to the rice and prepare a kind of risotto, then we put a fried mixed egg atop the rice and it's ready to eat. Or sometimes we just eat a fast noodle when we don't even have a carrot or onion to prepare a risotto.
The olympics are so great to watch indeed. :)
I'll try to spare more time to watch the games.
Warm hugs to you, take care!
Hey,Anette!!!My dream is see Mark jansen playing a music with Nighwish!!He is a great guitar and love Nightwish!!Do you think
ReplyDeleteMust've been delicious!
ReplyDeleteOh, and grats on your first Swedish Gold Medal! It's fun to watch the Olympics, but it's a pity that in the Netherlands many speed skating (only thing we are really good in, haha) are kinda late at night
Oh my goooosh guuuurl, like I said,
ReplyDeleteI soo want to eat your food!
It's sounds soo good!
I'm not a big Olympics watcher, but
I did watch it today. You should
be proud of Sweden! When I was watching,
in the woman's race, a woman from
Sweden woman, then when I was watching the
men's, a man from Sweden was in first.
But that was an hour ago, so it could have
changed. But you guys are doing good!
I know, it's been snowing all day in
Ohio too. So you know how I haven't been
to school since the 4th of February?
We probably won't have school tomorrow,
so my no-school streak continues!
Oh, I'm going to have to post some
pictures of these really cute outfits
I bought on Saturday,
I think you'd like them;=)
Enjoy your dinner and have a good night!
Hugs and love, Katie T.

:) Yeah, it's great to watch olympics! Congratulations for gold medal yesterday! I've been sick since Sunday night (nothing serious) so I've been at home, and we got LOTS of snow yesterday, again... I've been eating rests, too; I haven't touched my car since Friday so I can only see a huge heap of snow where my car once was! :D Today I'll make some reindeer roast I found in freezer. I don't eat it so often, though I like reindeer meat more than any other meat. I would like to taste those potatoes once! When I get myself out of my door and buy things first. :)
ReplyDeleteDear Anette,
ReplyDeletewhat you cooked sounds very yummy! Not too bad joice (even that you hadn't any...)! Think I might well try that out also once :) Thanks for the recipe!
This winter is long enough now. I think it was interesting to have a lot of snow here in Germany once again for such a long time for we do usually do not have much snow- but if I imagine I would also have such a lack of sunlight that you seem to have in Sweden... (which I asume is more than here for it lies farther in the north)-oh dear! We NEED spring!!!!
Have a good day, Anette!
yours,
Lisa

That sounds good!
ReplyDeleteI'm always lazy going to market so for me, that is very familiar way to cook.
Today I plan to cut some chicken to small pieces and fry them, mix with Taco flavour färskost (or something like that, I just copied the case text, I don't know what it is in English) and chopped fresh tomatoes. Then bake some crepes... so, taco-chicken crepes for me today. We'll see how it tastes. :)
Don't know if I should do ordinary pancakes for dessert, since it's fettisdag and all!
