Sitting watching the 4th eurovision song competition in Sweden and at the same time enjoying my evening food, a favourite: salad, tomatoes, honey-mustard dressing and fried halloumi cheese. So good and I just love it!!

Thank you Anette! I hope your evening too will be nice and relaxing. I had dinner with anchovies with vinegar, shrimps, squids and salade. Very good! What kind of cheese is it halloumi? I don't know it. Enjoy your dinner!

in one of the classes that I help
out the teacher in. The other day she was
letting people ask her questions,
so because of Nightwish and you having
spoken about it, I asked about Eurovision
and she said it was really popular.
I really wish I could see it here
in the states.
Well, I didn't go see "The Crazies",
but I am going tonight with my
friend to go see "It's Complicated".
I think it'll be good.

@Océane: all i could say is that when you send something you'll never know if it will arrive or not. Surely my package was not an exception (you could found some things if you read old posts, but i must warn you it will take time), but i told Anette that i had something for her (the candle), same for the day it was sent and the expected time. Having no reply didn't mean she's not reading, so maybe what i said helps a bit to come in Anette's hands ( she had it in less than 2 weeks, it was quite fast)...

I would like to ask you something, as you probably know today was a huge earthquake in Chile, and a lot of people are missing, dead, and homeless.. I know that Nightwish has a lot of fans in Chile, and I would like to ask you if you would be able to post in your blog greeting them, send them your support. I know that a lot of them follow your blog.
I would like to let you know that my family who lives in Santiago are all fine! and I was shocked when I knew about this. Im still in shock and sad about it.

Have you tried field salad, cherry tomatoes and real feta cheese blended with olive oil and white vinegar? I could eat this every day, really. Best salad out there!:-)

Normally we also have a competition for Eurovison here in Flanders Belgium. This year is our turn (Flanders) and next year it's again Wallonia's turn (the French-speaking side of Belgium). We never organise it together. I found it very stupid that they organise this apart, I think it splits up the country even more. No wonder we (flemish people and walloon people) sometimes (or to much) feel like strangers.
So normally we have in Flanders a competition this year where the viewers can vote for there favorite song. But this year we have nothing, they just choose a song without any competion. Too bad, I loved to watch the competition.
My saturdayevening was very very nice. I went to a concert of Absynthe Minded (a band that I mentioned a couple of times already ;) and I so totally loved it! I love it that they have a violinist and a cellist (who also plays the bassguitar in other songs) it gives a special tone and feeling to there music. I like the stringed instruments very much. When I was little someone of my school played the violin, I loved it so much. I was dreaming as a child of playing the violin too, but never got the chance from my parents. And ofcourse it's not to late to start it, but whoo it's so hard to learn to play the violin I guess. I will stick with guitar for now :)

@Océane: thanks. :) Also, being careful about what someone could like and found gifts that fits her (or his) tastes is quite good. Sending gifts that you found nice is a good thing, of course. But you're not the one who will have the gift(s), right? :) You could have some good ideas while reading Anette's old posts (a tip: you couldn't have wrong with colorful perfumed candles and/or things for the bath)....
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't know if Anette wants to receive things or not. But try to imagine how you would react if someone do this for YOU. It's always nice to receive gifts, but when it's not expected or for a special reason, i would feel bad to receive something too big or too expensive; but i would be happy to have little thing(s) that i really could enjoy.
I don't know if it will help you...

Mmmmm, I love halloumi!
ReplyDeleteThere's a restaurant/pub in my village where they do "vegetarian fish & chips", and they just put halloumi in batter instead of fish. It tastes a whole lot nicer than it sounds, but fills you up really quickly :)
