Early early morning...

....tomorrow. I am flying over to dear Finland for a quick meeting and I have just put my clothes and make-up ready so I can take one cup of coffee, fix my hair and basic make-up and rush off. I am a bit worried since I am leaving Nemo at home and will be away for the day but of course home before late evening. Still, I am breast-feeding him and I am a bit worried over not being able to pump during the day. Was gonna take my breast pump but I think the security will be thinking: what is this? And I dont feel like standing there explaining what it is;=) So I hope I´ll manage without it.

Sleep well and I´ll tell you more about my day tomorrow;=)

  1. Good evening dear,

nice to see that you've just posted a few minutes ago! For Nemo i was wondering about who will feed him in your absence. I undestand that you are worried and i would be too. Who will he stay with? Anyway, don't worry and everything will be ok. Sleep too and sweet dreams!

    Big hugs

  4. My Ex Wife had a similar issue happen. Even though you might not want to, you might have to use formula for a few feedings. It will not make that much difference for a few feedings. All you can do is take one day at a time, I would not worry about the small things eveything will work out. Have a good flight and relax..

  5. have a good morning, safe flight and spend a wonderful time in Finland!

haha, yeah, some mother&baby stuff is quite personal and it would be uncomfortable to explain it to men XD although I think the security guys might've seen it all already :)
big thanks for keeping us updated, Anette, it's so kind of you :)

  10. Anette,

    Good luck with the meeting!

As for leaving Nemo, yeah, it will suck...My sister was the same way when she had to go back to work after maternity leave...Although it would be wise to take the breast pump...From seeing what my sister went through, it could be really painful if you don't pump the milk out...Just a suggestion.

Anyways have a good flight and all! :D

    Take care,

  12. Hej hej Anette, hope you and your family had a good Jul! I haven’t read your blog in some time but I can see some more nice photos below. Will you take some more in Finland (if it isn’t too dark and cold)??
Surely the security people won’t ask about the pump if it’s in your bag. They’ve probably seen it all before anyway ;-)

  13. Anette,

I would maybe reconsider the pump. I even took one to work with me, as I tried one day without expressing and after half a day they were so full and sore.
Is Nemo going to London with you, or are you hoping he will be weaned enough by then?

    Have a nice trip

  15. I'd say take it! It's not so unusual for breastfeeding mothers to travel by plane and breastpumps are becoming increasingly popular. :-) Let us know how things go, anyway.

  16. Hi Anette :)

I havent's written since Christmas Eve so here's a sum up of my answers to your latest posts:

    - Of course, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! :) I'm glad you had a nice night at your mum's and that Seth and Nemo loved their presents.

    - I LOVE those 2 photos of you and Tuomas in the camp, more photos please? :) Thank you so much for them!

    - Don't worry about Nemo, I'm sure he'll be okay and you'll be back tonight, but of course it's natural that you're worried and sad to leave him for a few hours, that is a proof and a sign that you're an excellent and a good mother :)

My best wishes and lots of hugs
    César

  17. I'm sure everything will be good with Nemo and with your breast ;) Since I don't have children I can only imagine how hard it is to leave a little one for the first time. Sending hugs and a lot of sun to you!

  20. Hi, Anette,

Don't worry! Everything will be just fine tomorrow, but my advice is just in case to take the breast pump. I don't think that anybody will ask what it is, and what if ? ;)
Also sleep well, have a nice flight tomorrow and greetings to the band mates :)

  23. Oh my wonderful Nettie!
I hope that Nemo is great, it's clear that she misses her wonderful mother Nettie.
You're an amazing woman and I'm so happy to continue in the band. Photos with Tuomas are wonderful, I always liked the couple that made:) They wonder what it feels like a child but if it is newly born. Anette I love you with all my heart. I am looking forward the new pictures. I love you with all my heart.
    You are unique.
    With all my love.
