Today I have felt better but still taken it easy. Just took a nice walk in the cold weather, it´s down to -6 here again so very "bity" in the wind. Luckily, the snow is almost totally gone. Thanks for that;=) It´s much easier to walk with the pram without lots of snow to slip in. I like snow, just not here where I live. In the mountains for skiing - yes!

The sun sets early now. At 16 it´s totally gone in the horizon and it also sets in the opposite direction from where it sets in the summer. I took some photos for you today. The little cabins are where you can change your clothes and then go straight down into the water through your own little stairs. So even in the cold winter there are people bathing! Well, nothing for me. I prefer to go home after my walk and crawl into my own bath tub. Put some nice bathing oil in, light some candles, put on a facial mask, add a hair mask and then just lie there in the light from the candles.
This is my sunday treat. My "own" time and it´s so nice.
Now I have just made some evening desserts and today I fried some apple slices with some butter, cardamom and honey. Then serve it with either quark with a little touch of vanilla in it or as we will do tonight - serve it with the chocolate cake I have given you the recipe for. The apples in contrast to the dark chocolate is really nice.
Time to put on a good movie and relax. I wish you all a pleasant evening too;=)
Anette,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you had a very nice day :)
Though, I was really surprised when I woke up one morning and the snow was nearly gone. I mean- it's better to have some snow that the cold and 'bitey' wind. I was meeting some friends in Copenhagen today, and believe me, walking in the cold wind wasn't such a good idea, and even though I was planning on doing some Christmas shopping today, we all ended up in pizzeria, drinking wine and eating pizzas.
Have a nice evening!
Hello Anette! Those photos are beautiful, you have no idea how much i want to live in a place like that.
ReplyDeleteIn Argentina the weather is sunny but a little bit cold, due to a heavy rain yesterday in the afternoon, but i love it because i can't stand the sun.
How are the little ones doing?
Hugs for all of you and i wish you an amazing day♥
Good evening dear,
ReplyDeletenice to read you! I have the same your tought about bathing in winter, it's not for me too. I wondering how the people can do it in that frozen water. Brrrrrrrr! I've been in Danmark in my holiday in the summer 2003, i want to the beach with my parents an friends. All the man had bathing but i couldn't do it, the water was very cold for me.
I have a question: in the winter and summer how many hours of light and darkness do you have? Just for curiousity, i like to know more about the foreign countries. :)
About cake, my mum made tirsamisù and i ate one after luch and in afternoon. Very good!
Have a nice evening too ans thanks for posting these beautiful pics! Enjoy the movie!
Hugs
Hey Anette.
ReplyDeleteThank you for writing something this evening!! Today I'm totally in a Nightwish-phase and spent the whole day in front of the computer watching NW-videos, reading former diary entries, reading the whole Nightmail etc.
I sometimes have these days and your blog just fits in very well.
It's good to read that you are feeling better now. What you described, something like your "own time", is really helping.
The photos are very beautiful, I think.
When I'm outside, I don't really feel the coldness (believe me, it's definitely cold where I live). But bathing in the sea? No way!
Great, after reading about your evening desserts I want to eat an apple but we don't have any. But I baked cookies today. Too bad they're already eaten up.
Sorry for all that trash I'm talking about. On Nightwish-days it's impossible for me to stop talking.
After all this trivia I wish you a nice next week and sunday evening of course.
Take care,
Luisa
I also agree with you about the snow in the mountain for skiing, it's the write place but not in the cities. My mother when she was a little girl she lived many years in the country where i live, in the winter the snow was taller than the door of her house. So you cane imagine how much there was.
ReplyDeleteAnette,
ReplyDeleteGlad you're feeling somewhat better! :)
Loved the pictures! Its so beautiful by you! *sighs*
Those apple slices sounded really good! If you have a chance, please post the recipe for that! Would love to make it for my fam! :D
Enjoy your "me" time and have a great evening! You totally deserve it! :D
Take care,

ReplyDeletewhat`s cardamom?? take care, have a good week.
I love snow, I love it even in here where I live. The only thing I wish is that the frozen, slippery snow could magically diappear under my feet during walking ;)
ReplyDeleteWho goes bathing in there even in winter?! Oh god! Sooooooo cold!
Take care! :)
Hello Anette :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're feeling better! -6! Wow.. here in Paris it's +5.. I feel like it's summer compared to everyone else hehe..
Ooh skiing! Do you ski? I wish I could..
Ooh, a nice relaxing bath sounds nice.. for the masks, do you use store bought things or do you have home recipes?
Yum! You seem like a great cook! Do you read up on recipes or is it just a natural talent? I've never tried apples in contrast with dark chocolate.. I must give it a try! Seems delicious:)
Hope you have a nice relaxing evening!
Alexandrina
Hi Anette,
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that you are feeling much better today. Even though the weather is not in your favor, being next to the great mother and feeling her vibration through the waves is an exhilarating experience. Thank you for sharing those beautiful pictures of the coast line with us. Have a great week and I send you bright blessings to you and your family.♥☀★♥
Hugs Zulma:-)
Those pictures are lovely. It looks so peaceful and beautiful by the ocean.
ReplyDeleteI makes me want to go to beach for a good, long walk myself. :)
Hey Anette, I'm very glad to hear you are feeling better, =). I am also very glad Jay won idols!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the photos, it looks so beautiful but you can even tell it is very cold just from looking at them! 'Me' time is the best time, when you can just shut the world out for a while and completely relax. You deserve it, you are always so busy and you haven't been well.
My weekend has been busy. Tonight I went to see Bullet For My Valentine in Wembley Arena in London and it was amazing. I really enjoyed the show but now I am deaf in one ear and my neck hurts from headbanging! It was definitely worth it though...
Have a lovely day, take care.
Jas.
I hope you feel better.. Just read this article... http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20101212/ap_on_re_eu/eu_sweden_terror
