A christmas carol

Tonight we went to the movies to see "A christmas carol" from Disney. It was really good and with a good pointer to be nicer towards others and embrace the x-mas spirit.

  3. I really like this story, I think that Dickens captured what I may call the greatest story with a Christmas setting.. usually art based on Christmas makes me feel sad when it tries to cheer you up, I don't know why. This one instead makes me think a lot and, I don't know.. I always feel lighter after seeing a film based on that book, even though it has gloomy themes in more than one part..

  6. Den berättelsen är ljuvlig, säkert något av det bästa Charles Dickens skrivit.

  9. Lol I saw the preview for this a couple of weeks ago at the theater when we went to see 'Where the Wild Things Are'(Great movie, by the way). For the life of me I can't understand why they animated the Christmas Carol, but I'll probably go see it anyways at some point. It looks pretty good.

Oh and thought I'd drop these two short animations your way in case you might like them:

The first is really amusing. The second is more sad and thoughtful. We watched them in class ages ago and I still watch them from time to time (like today) ^.^

  11. Dear Anette,

well, it is november and somehow it feels already a bit like christmas-time- the shop-windows are already decorated one can buy some bisquits and so on. But the message of this carol is one which sure is important in every time of the year. - I even once acted in that play in theatre ;) I loved it- for we had a really good atmosphere on stage and some really crazy ghosts...
Best wishes and hope you'll be healthy soon!

  13. Don't know if you'd even care, but Steven Tyler just quit Aerosmith. I personally think it's a tragedy...

Hmm, A Christmas Carol? The previews seemed goofy and light-hearted :P

    Hugs, and love,
    Falyssa
