Studio day

Finally at my hotel after a long day in the studio again. Our goal to do one song per day works and one more song is demo recorded;=)

Today we used an old old organ on the song and its sounds so nice. Real old instruments makes the songs so special;=)

It was really windy both at home and here in Stockholm today and its for sure autumn now. The studio is lying in the middle of a forest and by a lake and the atmosphere is super. When I look out from the windows, I see the lake and all the colours in the trees are now red, yellow and brown. I´ll try and take some photos for you tomorrow so you can see the surroundings;=)

I really hate hot weather but at least, it's supposed to rain tomorrow or the day after that..

  13. HI Anette, I'm Alessandra from Italy ;)
(I wrote you a while ago on Nightwish official forum, but I've been reading your blog for quite a while now). I like songs where the sound it's old, and different in a way. Have you ever heard of Tori Amos' "Bells For Her"? It was made with a prepared piano, and while recording they completely "deconstructed" the sound, so there you can hear a very unique sound. Listen to it if you have a chance and if you like, let me know your opinion :)

You can look for that song live with that piano on youtube, just search Bells For Her Live 94 :D for she brought that piano only for a tour. Or else, you can hear the studio version :)
