The day that turned out different than planned

Good evening all,

My planned super sunny friday didnt turn out like I had planned. Instead I have been lying in my bed all day due to the boring fact that I again have an infection. It´s the neverending story of urine trait infections I have since many many years and this is the second for this pregnancy. Boring and makes me so tired due to strong antibiotics. So have been sleeping almost all day and I must say its been a boring friday;=(

But as I promised, some photos from the gig I saw yesterday. My bf and the band played the final in the competition but unfortunately didnt win (even if I must say they should have, the jury was in my opinion a bit deaf;=) hihi!

They had white masks and black hoodies, soap bubbles from a machine and they rocked like hell! I had a great evening;=)

Now I wish for a big salad with cheese and ham and a rhode island dressing...can someone beam it to me? Thanks;=)

Enjoy your evening!

  7. Awww, i'm so sorry for you. *hugs* Looks like the friday mood was not so "tjohoo" (hope you wouldn't mind if i'm borrowing this from you, i love the word, it sounds really happy and good).... :( I hope at least you'll feel better soon.

And thanks for the nice photos, it looked like it was a really good show (wish i could hear how it sounded as well). And a jury being deaf wouldn't be a surprise, i sometimes wonder why some bands lost and some other wins. Because honestly, some songs selected for Eurovision sucks a lot! And not only for Eurovision, as well.....

    *hugs*

  8. Ah, so sorry for your boyfriend and his band! I'm sure they deserved to win, but it's still great they made it to the finals and rocked!

And also, I hope your infection goes away in no time, I suppose it's twice as uncomfortable to have it when pregnant and also when you wanna do things and go for a walk and you can't cause you don't feel well. So, I hope you feel better super-fast!

    Have a good night everyone!

  9. Oh, I'm sorry that your Friday didn't
    turn out well!

Your bf's band looks pretty awesome,
I bet they were pretty good.
I know what you mean by saying the
judges were wrong. I thought the
same thing when watching a show called
"Dancing With The Stars". Where celebrities
dance with dance partners and compete-
they were saying bad things about celebrities
    that I thought were good!

Mine was a bit sad too. One of my favorite teachers at school is pregnant with her 4th child. Though she hasn't been my
teacher since I was in 9th grade, and I'm
in 11th grade now, I still talk
to her everyday. I go to her class almost
everytime I walk by it. But today was
her last day because she was leaving for
maternity leave, so she'll be having her baby
next week. So, I was kinda sad because she
won't be back until next school year,
which will be cool because she'll be my teacher again next year. But it's still
sad because I talk to her about
a lot of personal things, and now I won't
    see her until August...

    Hope you feel better soon!
Lots of strengthening hugs to you Nettie!

    Hugs and love, Katie T.

  14. Another UTI for poor Arska. Oh dear.

What antibiotics do they have you on for it, if I may ask?

The concert you want to yesterday looked and sounded like a fun! It was probably packed with standing room only. Was it?

Salad sounds good. Shame we can't just make it magically appear, right?

  18. Cranberry juice will help the infection to go away faster if the baby would allow you to drink it. I have problems with these also and it almost always helps it to go away faster. It should be very safe and quite healthy for the baby also :)

Sad to read that bad news...
Hope your bf will have others chances to win competitions!

And above all, hope tomorrow will be a better day for you!

Steff : hey! Peux tu me dire sous combien de jours Anette avait reçu ton colis ? Merki !

Sorry for speaking french, but maybe you understand a bit, even if you said you forget what you learned :)
About that, I'm curious : what could you say in French ?
I know you know Frère Jacques ahah :D, it was sooo fun in Paris, 7000 metal's fans singing that stupid song... =)

About that I want to show you my video, it was on the 24 mars 2009 in Paris : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQSYNiHP5rs

  22. @Brigitte: you're welcome for the "kind words", i hope it helped you a bit... :) I always feel sad when someone have harsh time because of his/her family. I don't know why people who share the same blood than us couldn't try to be decent and tolerant with what we are, sadly for what i know it happen rarely (it's this in my family). They are so quick to judge and say awful things, but they're not here when we need them. Is it so hard to be decent? Just, simply decent, and not tell all these awful things?
That's why i love my friends so much: they could tell me without problems when i'm wrong without being harsh (well, not always, humans are not perfect), but they're also here when i need them. And it works the same with me, i couldn't imagine not being there for any of my friends, even if i'm not great myself. If they need me, i'm here, it's plain simple.
Feel free to contact me, and i'll be waiting for you on sunday if you still want to send me words. :)

@Anette: thanks a lot for giving us some place to support each others, it's really a great gift - and for me it's priceless. I wish one day i'll be able to tell this to you myself, how much you helped me (and many other people) to fight and feel better, and the impact it have on my everyday life (a positive one of course)...

  24. Huff, Anette!!

  34. Hej Anette!
I'm sorry to hear thet you're ill and I hope you'll feel better soon.
    How are you today?
It's the worst day in my life. My dog died 2 hours ago. She was my best friend and I just can't think what my life will be without her. She lived with me a half of my life. I don't know if I ever stop crying. Few days ago she was happy and crazy as always. But then she looks like tired, ill dog so we took her to vet. He gave her antibiotics and told us to visited him next day (today), but it's too late. And we don't know what happened to her. Probably she ate something when my brother took a walk with her. Sometimes people are evicting a bones or some things what dogs eat and there's poison in it. Yesterday I was praying to God let her stay in this world.. She was the best I had in my life.
Sorry for my English, but I just feel so bad..
    Have a god day

    Many hugs
    Ala

  35. Ala: Oh, my;=( I so feel for you and I really know how hard it is to lose a pet. And especially when it goes so fast and you dont know what happened. Living with our animals are just like having a family member and as you say: they live with us for 10-20 years which makes it equally hard as losing a relative. I dont know what to say more than that let your feelings come out, cry and mourn her. The best way of healing is to let go of the sorrow and mourning, not holding anything inside. Try and take one day at a time and just take it easy, no stress. Lots of comforting hugs to you!

  36. Hi Annette,
Just some info to help you fight those nasty urinary tract infections without antibiotics.
    One natural treatment stands out:
“D-mannose" is the answer for UTI's and it is safe during pregnancy
Many women know that when the first signs of a bladder infection appear, a few quarts of cranberry juice can sometimes head the problem off at the pass.
According to Jonathan V. Wright, M.D., the ingredient in cranberry juice that makes it effective is the bacteria-fighting sugar: D-mannose.
“D-mannose has the ability to detach E. coli from the walls of the bladder without upsetting the balance of the friendly bacteria necessary for good health. After being loosened from bladder walls, the bacteria are rinsed away by normal urination. The E. coli aren’t killed; they’re simply relocated – ‘from the inside to the outside’ – and the infection is gone.”
But Dr. Wright also says there’s not really enough D-mannose in the juice to be significantly effective. And the extra sugar that comes with most brands of cranberry juice just creates other unneeded problems.
D-mannose is normally available from compounding pharmacies and natural food stores. I hope you can find it where you live. Dr. Wright says that almost any bladder infection caused by E. coli can be eliminated with 1/2 to 1 teaspoonful of D-mannose, dissolved in water and taken every 2 to 3 hours.
And there’s no need to worry about the sugar aspect of D-mannose; it’s a simple sugar, so very little of it is metabolized by the body. Large doses are washed away in the urine, and the amounts not excreted into the urine are so small that they do not affect blood sugar levels – even in diabetics.
Since you have reccurent UTI's, you can use D-Mannose preventively in lower doses.
One more thing: the antibiotics kill bad and good bacterias. I really recommend a probiotic to recolonize your gut.
    To your good health

  37. Fleur: Hi! I do know cranberry but unfortunately it never stops my infections. And being pregnant makes it harder to feel the infection. But to get antibiotics when pregnant with this is very important since having an infection can damage the baby. Thanks for you concern though;=)
