Stjärnan...

Today Stjärnan really is annoying with her screams and mating calls...she is screaming, purring, lying and just being really weird. I guess I need to fix that veterinarian call tomorrow so we can sterilize her soon. Poor thing...she just want a guy...;=)

  1. Oh God poor cat! :( The better thing is castrate her. Mine is castrated, as you know male cats with the pee leave a terrible stink.

  6. Awww, poor Stjärnan (and poor you too)... Hope the vet will be able to sterilize her soon, it must be not funny at all for her now. Still, it's unfair for cats, what we are doing for them... We're not doing this for us humans, so why for cats? :(

    *hugs*

  7. Hahahaha your cat is just a bit solitary, I guess. When cats are receptive, they become very weird! The only way to fix it is, unfortunely, get the cats neutred... My fried had to do it with her cat... But she did it herself! Since, of course, se is a veterinarian =)

Good luck with your lonely weird cat, hihi

    =**

  11. Ohh, poor Stjärnan! I hope that you can
get her taken care of soon.
Not only is it probably confusing for her,
I bet it really is annoying.

I've never had a cat that did that though,
we always get our cats spayed or neutered
before they start their "cat screaming".
But my friend's cat used to do it all
the time, and in a way it was funny
because of the sounds she made, but at
the same time I felt bad for the poor thing.

But I hope you get Stjärnan feeling
    better soon!

Hope you have a good evening!

    Hugs and love, Katie T.

  12. I know how it is to hear those screams in the middle of the night... but sometime it's quite good... in some way (not screams!). When my little kitty wants a boy she is so nice to us, she is walking after us and wants to be pat, she is purring and allowed us to hold her like a baby ;) Just wants to be in the centre of attention, so we let her to enjoy it :)

  17. Oh, poor cat and also you...Hope it will be O.K. soon...
I have a cat and she had four little cats (she's kids :D), but now I have just one, because my dog Melly, she is a haski, catched them and so they died :(...they were so cute...
My cats live outside and also many other animals, and when I sleep I don't hear anything, well just in february...:D

Today, I was looking some videos I recorded from yours gig here in Croatia and every time when I watch it, I get crazy :D, and so, when Pain started to play, I spin my head (I can't remember how it calls on English) and now it hurts :D :D. Some weird story...lool
Good night and sleep well! :*
    Love,
    Marija

  19. Awwww, I feel your pain... I've got a ten month old kitten (who is currently lying next to me sleeping). I finally got her sterilized a few weeks ago, the poor thing. But now she's all happy and good :)

All the best to you two ;)

  20. Hej Anette,

good decision to take her to the vet. :oD Yet I would not recommend the procedure that is called "sterilization" in German (may not be the same as "sterilization" in English), because that one leaves them able to be in heat, only they can't have babies any more from that. I would always choose the one where the thing gets removed so the hormones are shut down forever. Reduces stress for indoor cats and the load of unwanted kittens for the outdoor ones.

We have two cats and could only pay the vet for the boy before they reached mating age. So the girl was in heat once before we managed to have it done for her, too. Luckily for us, she was a rather quiet one, but I felt very sorry for her.

Stjärnan is the Maine Coon? Or did I get that right that you have two Coonies and Busan the Birma is the third cat? Slightly confused.. have only seen two of your darlings so far and they are lovely.

    Greetings!
    Petra

  23. Hi Anette!
Poor cat. And you, like always, if our pets dont feel good, we hear them and we dont feel good, too. Or we're really sleepy. I know its not easy. But without screams we dont feel well, too. My cat gone two weeks ago. I dont know where she is. I wish then she is in someone house an she's feel good. But who know?
So I wish you will sleep well. Maybe earplugs once more?

    Hugs from Nan. ;-)

  24. Emercy: Oh no, your cat is gone? I so hope she will come back to you. A couple of years ago my older cat, Gremlins, disappeared for 8 days and I was devastated;=( Losing our pets are so hard. I wish for your cat to return back healthy very soon. Enjoy your evening.

  25. Quentin: Hi! Well, I dont think we can have more than 3 cats here in the apartment;=) And Stjärnan is quite a handful so I dont know if having her kittens would be so nice...;=)

Wendeline: Hi! Yes, she is the Maine Coon cat. And here, when doing a sterilization they remove the egg-holders (dont know the english word;=) on the cat and they dont get these periods anymore and cant get any kittens.

Justdadalove: Hi! She is a cat, a maine coon and she is born in may-09. Its the first time she gets her period.

  26. Ho I understand =)

And I understand when Wendeline say that she felt very sorry for her cat, but I thing it's a good decision.
Because it's always better than separate the kittens from their mom after =(

    sleep well everybody ^^
