Just back from my sons hockey practise and it is fun to watch these kids on ice. They are different ages and mixed experience but they all do their best and grow every single time they are there. My son has improved really fast and I just sit there smiling and being so proud and happy when I see how fun he thinks this is;=)

some medicine before I go...

ReplyDeleteI wish I could practice any of those winter sports, but I can't because I live in South America and when it's winter here it just rains all the day.
I'm planning to go to Finland or Sweden - I haven't decided yet - to study as an exchange student for a semester. So, maybe while I'm there I manage to practice something.
Here, we are in the middle of the afternoon (and as it's summer the sun is shinning). I'm enjoying this peaceful moment listening to some good music. =)!!

I'm going to try out for Hockey. But first, I gotta learn how to skate. So a few times a week, me and my mom go out to the rink to practice skating. My mom's very good, she would have been a figure skater if there was a skating club back then.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in Quebec I went skating outdoors on this rink in this little area with buildings decorated with lights that were so pretty in the night. It snowed that night too. So much fun! Well except for the fact that I fell down four times, seriously bruising my knee. Imagine that, a Canadian that doesn't know how to skate ;=)

Wow, I haven't been able to get access to the internet in a while now - and I just read about your happy news! My goodness, that's incredible, and I'm so so sincerely happy for you. :)
ReplyDeleteThey've made a big fuss about this in the media here in Finland, and in some NW discussion forums, too. I really don't get it, and it makes me so sad that us Finns always seem to be so negative about everything and judge people we don't even know! Especially since this is such a positive thing. But I'm sure you're too smart and mature to care about those unimportant things. Obviously the people that really matter will fully support you and be happy for you.
We had a quite similiar situation in my family about eight years ago, when I was nine and my mom (she was 39 back then)and my stepfather caught everyone - including themselves - by surprise by getting pregnant. My mom had a busy career and it was really a puzzling situation, but everything worked out just fine. I love my little sister, and I look after her a lot because we have this age difference of almost 10 years. So I'm sure you'll also figure everything out for the best. :)
Oh, and I'm glad your son has decided to start playing hockey... it's my favorite sport, and I love going to live hockey games here in Tampere. Maybe someday we'll see your son play in the NHL, as Sweden's next superstar. You seem to always have new ones, while us Finns keep relying on the old guys... hmph. :D Well, we got the olympic bronze to be happy and proud of!

ReplyDeleteI saw many nasty things on youtube as well, and if you do a google blog search you'll be afflicted by some morons. And trust me, they're far from being finnish§ I even saw some french who said that it was because of Anette's pregnancy that we have to wait for the new album. Yeah, it's not because of the extensive tour, tiredness after this and Tuomas who need to compose the news songs, it's because of Anette's pregnancy... *grr* I'm ashamed of this!
Hopefuly not everyone think like this, look at us! If anette could focuse on the good and left the bad were it's due (garbage), we could do the same... :)

Speaking about bullshit, prejudice, sexism and everything you want, now some people are saying that Anette will not stay long in NW and that the guys are in fact pissed and not pleased. Add to this they're also saying that Anette will not tour because the baby will be too young, or that the tour will be delayed. For fuck's sake, what's wrong with this world? A guy could stay away from his children while touring but not a woman? What do they think about, we're not in the 19th century anymore!!! Grrr....

To Steff (and everybody!): about people who spread hate on the internet... Oh please, don't waste time with them ;-) They obviously have big mental issues and they should seriously get help ;-) But dealing with them is not our task! The internet is such a broad place and, just like anywhere in the world, we need to choose where to go, what to focus on, which people to be with etc. So, just avoid those bad places and people and you'll immediately feel better (remember Anette's post on the need to get rid of negativity? ;-) ). You don't need to go and read such comments. Stupid people will always be there, but it's up to us to ignore them ;-)

Every nights i'm trying my best to avoid nightmares and have weapons to fight them (if you have nightmare about every nights or so you'd do the same), and with your harsh comment i was unable to do it. And allmy nightmares was about this. Everybody make mistakes, why jumping on someone beacuse of this? And i wasn't quoting, i was fighting against this. I'm still kind of naive, and despite 30 years of bad life and abuses of all kind (verbal, physical and psychological) i'm still shocked to found that people could be mean without reasons. It's my way to react, and if it's not a good one i'm sorry but that's how i fight things since i'm a kid. You could say that i souldn't do it in a nicer way, no? Elisa & Anette didn't make me feel like a piece of sh1t, just feeling bad for my comment (which was not posted in a bad way but as support), but your message successed. I'm sorry you could react like this, it wasn't what i mean.

And I really don't know you, I wouldn't expect that you would feel that offended of my comment, the same way you don't know me, if you did, you would know that I'm not trying to make you feel bad - not at all, it's just my usual way of expressing. Oh it's the best side of the internet/sarcasm, missundestandings like this are bound to happen. Yesterday was a crappy day from the begining to the end, and your comment was just the top of it...
