Seth asked me a couple of days ago when the summer starts and I had to make him a bit disappointed too when I said it will take until june. Some more months to go and longing for baths in the pool, playing football in bare legs, eating barbequed sausages and long days filled with bright light;=)
While I dream about those days I look at some old photos from past summers;=)

ReplyDeleteAnd spring is the new beginning, very personal for me this year, my wedding will be in april :) And as it will be in april and our best friends had they weddind in october (3 years ago) we will dedicated a song for them... Summer is ok if it's not as hot as few last years.

Hi Anette! I have to say I disagree a bit, but only because I love the cold weather! :-) I do enjoy the Spring though and would like to see it show its face soon, so I can wear different clothing ha! ~V

ReplyDeleteI like winter. I love cold weather and the snow. I really do. But it has been so super cold this winter and it has snowed so much that I think it's already enough. We have the snow here in Finland so much that one night I even wondered if this snow will ever melt. What if it's permanent now and we will never feel the green grass under our feet... :D
We have here now -13 degrees so it's not so cold anymore.
But then again, even though I love summer, I don't like too hot summer. It's ok when it's warm but if it's hot... Then no-one can't go outdoors and the heat doesn't do any good for the older people either.
When it comes to the weather, there's always something to complain :D

Yeah, it's very cold winter... Today it was -34 degrees at home, but here in Neiden where I work today, someone had -44 in thermometer! :-S Well, that's too cold... I cross my fingers that my car still starts so I can drive home! - But I wish you a beautiful weekend! Summer will come...

ReplyDeletei agree with you. Is snowing again? I hope no. Here is no much cold but there is a bad weather. I don't like too a winter, rain and snow and in this time we had enough of them. I love summer to go to the beach and lying on the couch and bath. Sometimes i go in swimming pool also. I can't wait!!! Nice your pics... thank you for sharing to us!
How many hour of light are there in a summer? I know that in Finland, Norway and in Sweden there is always a sun or maybe in the north of these country? Now i got in my mind one thing that i would like to ask you: you live in Sweden... did ever seen the aurora borealis ( i hope that is written in a right way). Does it see where do you live?

Usually I love winter, I'm a total freak of walking outside in the snow, making snow angels, etc. But now it's definitely enough! I want summer! Bicycling, playing football, basketball, HIKING (sorry, it's just one of my favourite sports, and I love to be in the mountains) - that's all only possible when there is no frost, no snow, no cold wind.
ReplyDeleteBut it isn't fertile to mourn about that, we just have to accept it and enjoying the time we can spend with our beloved families.
That's how I see it.

It has been raining everyday,and i live near the beach,so,we get a lot of wind !!
For us a bi les than 10ºdegrees is already very cold to us,at least almost all of us :)
I cant wait to June,because in June i end 8ºgrade and have my big Summer holydays :D
And in July is my birthday,so its good to have always sunny days :D

I suppose if I lived in Northern Europe, I'd be longing for summer too, but while I'm in South America, all I want is winter. And winter here is barely even cold where I live....Take care Anette, I'm sure summer will get there faster than you think, :)

ReplyDeleteIt's been awfully rainy and gray here, but occasionally it's all sunny and warm. Which is good, but really annoying because it starts feeling like summer, and then bam! rain the next day.. ah well I guess, my friends in Russia tell me it's -25 there right now (European part) so could be worse..
Though summer's not that far off I guess, hopefully it won't be as hot as the last one (+40 is unbearable for me)
Hope the weather doesn't get colder in Sweden!

ReplyDeleteUgh, I know what you mean. I am so sick of this cold weather! The past week it's actually been quite warm outside, but before that it was freezing with lots of snow. So I don't know if the warm weather will last seeing as how it's February. Hopefully it gets warmer in Sweden soon too. :)

ReplyDeleteWell I think I could say the same about heat, here in Mexico is also winter but we almost reach 30º the lower temperature we have now is 10º, I don't dare to imagine how it will be in spring and summer!!!! heat is something I don't like very much sometimes is really unbearable specially at night when you cannot get some sleep.
I hope the weather gets warmer soon in Sweden!
