2nd Advent

Good morning!

Today we celebrate 2nd Advent and I have lit the candles when we went up early in the morning.

We have watched the x-mas calendar on TV - me, Seth and Nemo. It´s a funny calendar this year and that´s great. Some years the calendar is quite boring but this year they have based the tv series on some books me and Seth have been reading in the evenings before he´s gonna sleep. The books are about a family, "Rantanen", where mum is half Finnish. So it´s extra fun to read when she is cursing in Finnish;=) Seth love the books and so do I. We are on the last book at the moment, no 7 I think. So they have done a lot of them.

Today it´s gonna snow the whole day so I guess some indoor activities. I need to do some cleaning so it suits me fine;=)

Enjoy your 2nd Advent;=)

THANK YOU!

I have received so many gifts from many of you and I just want to say a big THANK YOU to all of you! There are not enough words for how it makes me feel to know that you have put so much effort into sending me beautiful cards, gifts for Nemo and Seth, jewellery, candles, books and so much more! And all the letters and cards where you write to me makes me cry every single time. I really dont know how to say thanks to you all so that it could be enough but I really hope you ALL know that I appreciate what you do and the beautiful persons you are!

Here´s photos of the gifts so everyone can see the beautiful things you all send;=)

Lots of love and hugs from us all;=)

Oh yeah!

Sleep well everyone!

Exciting evening;=)

It´s friday evening and Idols semifinal and I am of course voting for Jay Smith. Tonight they are 3 left and we will soon know the 2 who goes to the finals next week.

Tonight the jury decided which songs they were gonna sing and Jay first got Metallicas "Enter sandman" and here you can watch it:

and the second song was meant to be a challenge to him and he got Elvis "The ghetto" and here that is:

Now it´s soon time to know the results and for me, I am sure he will win the whole thing;=)

Papers

Happy friday everyone!

Started the morning with some paper work to my accountant. Always so boring with paper work, but something that needs to be done now and then.

My breakfast/lunch today is the same as every day: scrambled eggs. I take 2 eggs and 1/2 dl cream and mix together. Then into the frying pan with some butter and middle low temperature. A bit of salt on it and then stir all the time so it doesnt burn. Yummie! (and bacon is super to add if you want)

Time for a walk outside soon but before that, some friday music;=) Have a great friday!
Take that with Robbie Williams, finally;=)

Regular day

Evening all;=)

Not much to tell today, have had a regular day at home with Nemo. Baked a saffron cake that was really good! Followed a recipe from internet but exchanged the regular sugar to fruit sugar to make it a little bit less unhealthy;=) It´s really good and it was easy to do. Have already eaten 2 pieces and it is yummie!

Here´s the recipe:

Saffron cake:

1 package of saffron (0,5 g)
2,5 dl sugar
150 gram butter or margarine
3 egg
1 can of quark 250 gram (I used the light version 1%)
3,5 dl flour
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1 peeled sliced apple

Blend sugar and saffron together. Mix down room temperated butter or margarine so the paste gets porous. Blend down one egg at a time. Add the qwark, flour and baking powder and stirr into a nice texture. Pour down in a buttered and breaded baking tray. Peel and slice the apple and press down the pieces into the paste in various places. Put the tray in the oven at 175 degrees for appr. 40-45 minutes. (I have a hot air oven and I had to lower the temperature a bit and still it got a little bit dark, so the temperature varies depending on your oven)

When it´s ready you can, if you want to, powder icing sugar all over it.

(And there might be words in the recipe that are wrong or not the best ones, since I have translated many words straight from internet lexicons, but I hope you all understand the recipe)
