Strong

Well good morning!!

Today I went to the gym for a longer run since I havent bought my new super tread mill yet, so I got myself a card for some months in a nice gym close by.
So I ran 10 km and it went soooo well;=) Now I´ll rest the whole weekend and just relax;=) I have done 25 km this week so a very good week despite feeling tired in the body.

Yesterday evening I watched a documentary in TV about the band Anvil from Canada. It was a story about how they had a big success when they were 25 years old and then after that it all went quiet about them. Still, their dream was there - to get a break through and live on the music. For 30 years they have been together, struggling, playing gigs with 5 people in the audience, record lables saying no to releasing their albums.

In the end of the documentary I cried, cause seeing their faces when they walked out the stage in Loud Park in Japan and playing for a full house of screaming japanese fans - that was just something I could feel in my heart. The joy of getting to live your dream - that´s just amazing;=)

If you havent seen this movie - do it;=)
Enjoy the day!

  2. Wow. That's so cool that they finally are living their dream. I feel so happy for people who finally get what they so deserve for working so hard. It gives me hope to follow my dreams. :)
    Take care

  3. I love those stories of life. It's a cry out of hope for everyone. They teach you to be perseverant, no doubt. Thanks Anette for always encouraging us this way. You already know my philosophy: it has happened to you, it can happen to us all;=)

There are many other artists bringing similar experiences to the people, one of the biggest ones is lady gaga during her big concerts, when she interacts with the audience, telling her story (when she was dreaming about being a star etc....) but i am a bit confused about her language and her constant motto "you can do it, you can do it"....I read about some gay people that feel used by her and this business world, for example in the lyrics "born this way".

    -What do you think?

-Regarding Anvil: do they have a label nowadays?

    Good rest now

  4. Good evening Anette, Maybe one day you will compete with Sharon? ;) Respect well your body and its limits cause the day it tells us stop we must obey :X This documentary about Anvil seems interesting, so many people give up their dreams too soon. The ideal is to try everything to the end, by this way no regret ;=) Kisses and Hugs :*

  6. Anvil deserve all recognition they'll ever get.
They were big in the 80's for a while but life wasn't fair to them for two decades. A few years ago they got another chance along this document and they took it. They've bee all over the European festivals since then.

    Kewl!

  7. Hi Anette

Glad you kept going through the pain and had a good running week :)

I saw Anvil on June 24 - and they were absolutely amazing! Best gig, literally, that I've ever been to. The thing I really like about them is that they've stuck together. Unlike most musicians they've not gone off and tried to make it big by jumping to another band - they've done it as Anvil this whole time.

The crowd was small, but ferociously supportive, and Lips' grin when we hollered for him was awesome to see. Great band, and you must go if you get the chance :)

And Happy Canada Day! I'm so homesick (Canadian stuck in UK) and Anvil made me feel much better.

    Axx

  9. Good night Anette,
You have very active days 8) What motivated you are to gymnastics, that's great =D> Take care not to be aching all over :o)
You're lucky to have such interesting and varied TV programs. I recently watched a documentary that made me cry too, but nothing to do with music it was historical with exploitation of our precious loyal pets =((
Our world is full of tears and sadness so I find it great to read about documentaries that can make us cry with emotion :)
Now have a peaceful night pretty Anette;=)
    Kisses and love.

  12. Hey Anette!! This story is an inspiration, for sure!, to never give up and follow our dreams!

Happy to hear you're working out so well!! I'm starting to run too and I can tell how much pain I'm feeling already, but as the song says beauty has a price XD hehehe

I have a question that I hope you can answer, there is a " official page of Facebook of Marco" ( I know it cannot be 'cause you had tell us to much times that you do not have any Facebook pages) that affirms that you are leaving Nightwish, of course some comments there make me already angry =\
But they say that until you don't say something they will believe in this "
    News'

Please tell me that this is not true!! And just another fake news of some hater!!

    Greetings

    Clau =)

  14. Clau: Hi there! I really feel that I shouldnt have to even answer this, cause both here and in our Nightwish site, we have clearly stated that NO ONE in the band has their own Facebook pages. So I hope you understand that this person, whoever he or she is, is fake and has no clue about anything;=) And no, I am of course not leaving the band. Take care now!

  15. Hi Anette, Very nice story thanks for posting;=) and great performance with the gym;=) Anyway take care of your health, don't abuse the sport after all, music rules more \:D/
Let's wish one day people will stop bothering us with this damn Facebook obsession, it's full of fakes!! lol Then numerous members have no respect for the other's private life... they don't even show a real photo of them but they spend their time posting everything about the other, I think this kind of person has no life :o) All this is irrelevant.
I'm in love with real life and I like it you can't imagine =)
Have a beautiful sunny weekend dear Anette!
Lots of happiness and love ;)
