....I feel that this song is suitable. I sang this a couple of years ago, before Nightwish, with the choir I was in at that time - Bygdekören. Please light a candle for the victims in Norway tonight.
Here´s the lyrics for you:
THERE WILL COME A DAY
It´s not easy - trying to understand
How the world can be so cold - stealing the souls of a man
Cloudy skies rain down on all your dreams
You wrestle with your fear and doubts - sometimes its hard
BUT YOU GOTTA BELIEVE
There´s a better place
Where our father waits
And every tear he`ll wipe away
The darkness will be gone
The weak shall be strong
Hold on to your faith
There will come a day
Wars are raging
Lifes are scattered
Innocence´s is lost
and hopes are shattered
The old are forgotten
Children are forsaken
In this world we´re living in
is there anything sacred?
There´s a better place
Where our father waits
And every tear he`ll wipe away
The darkness will be gone
The weak shall be strong
Hold on to your faith
There will come a day
The sun will bring out
down these golden streets
and the voices of earth
with the angels will sing
Every knee will bow
Sin will have no place
in the glory of his amazing grace
Every knee will bow
Sin will have no place
in the glory of his amazing grace
There will come a day
There will come a day...

Thank you for the song ... I really like him.
ReplyDeleteFeel hugged.
Thanks for this song! The lyrics are beautiful. I will light a candle for the victims!
ReplyDeleteHugs to all the families and friends of the victims.
The song is perfect for now.
ReplyDeleteEurope and the world will be lit up with candles tonight, not only for those who died in the Norwegian atrocity, but for those killed in China (in a train collision), those killed in Chile (shooting on the metro) and all those people suffering in Somalia's drought. This has been one of the most horrific weeks in living memory. We need to come together at this time.
Love to you all.
Thank you for the song. It's so wonderful and the lyrics are so beautiful. You sing it with so many emotions :)
ReplyDeleteThis song is always making me cry, I am very sensitive.
About your solo album, is there going to be your demo of Ever Dream?
Hugs to you and boys

ReplyDeleteLove & Hugs
Anette,
ReplyDeleteas i've already said you a time ago when i've asked you about this song (i don't know if you remember) this is a beautiful song.
Who has written the lyrics?
Dear Anette,
ReplyDeleteyou're right that this song is suitable. I still can not believe what all happened this weekend. And I cannot imagine that this could also happened to me, but hopefully I wasn't there. I think it was the most cruel weekend this year. Lots of tragedies happened this weekend and it will take lots of time to understand. No one can ever amend what has happened. The victims will never come back. I cannot believe it. We should all come together and think about our behaviour, because it is not okay and not the right to do such things.
I am in thoughts by the people who lost their life because of the train collision, for Amy Winehouse's death, and all the victims, families and survivors of Norway tragedy. This should alarm us to change something, to think about racism, our behaviour and hate. Such cruel things must never happen again !
All my condolences to all the people around the world. God bless you.
Lots of Love to all the people who lost someone and of course to you my dear Anette. Thank you for the song.
Laura
Good evening Anette,

I am watching a show of Amy Winehouse and I just lighting a candle for the victims and for her.
ReplyDeleteVery bad week end...
Only music can make a little shine in our heart...
Love, hugs to you all
I also lighted 4 candles. China, Amy, Norway twice.
ReplyDeleteMay we learn from that!
I love this song! I found it a few months ago. And I thought about it too.
ReplyDeletetakk for at du sprer håp og kjærlighet videre!
ReplyDelete"når en mann kan forårsake så mye ondt - tenk hvor mye kjærlighet vi kan skape sammen."
Good night dear Anette,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful song for the very sad news of these last days.
I'm also watching a show of Amy Winehouse and still can't believe it; see what is life =(
This year is ignoble: Japan and the tsunami, next Norway... :( It breaks the morale! Words are missing.
Best thoughts
Good evening, Anette!
ReplyDeleteAnd I also just lit candles in memory of all the people who died during this terrible week in Norway, China and Amy Winehouse.
Your song is so beautiful (music and lyrics), it is like the light in this terrible darkness that came to us last week. Thank you very much for this wonderful song, listening to her I felt better. And I'm sure that your song has helped and even will help many people.
Thank you again and bless you, our dear Anette, your family and all people around the world by God!
I sincerely wish all of us take a lesson from these terrible events and become closer to each other to live in peace and love!
this song is soo beautiful
ReplyDeletethank you
Thank you so much for posting this song, Anette. It's so beautiful I cried. Things may be bad, but God is still God. I'm keeping Norway in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteLove and Peace,
Madge
Dear Anette,
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge Nightwish-fan and it makes me so happy to see you care for us neighbours in this terrible tragedy. I've been crying for the past 10 hours, I just can't believe what just happened to my own country. It's hard, and I'm afraid this sorrow will go on for years.
Bless you, Anette. You are the awesomest singer I know on this earth and I wish you all the best. Thank you so much for this song. Love, Maria from Norway.
Very sad weekend indeed :( Beautiful tribute Anette. We feel the pain of Norway from the other side of the world, lighting my candle in NZ. Lee
ReplyDeleteThis song is so wonderful and you sound like an angel. Thank you for sharing it in this hard and sad time.
ReplyDeleteBig Hug
Anette*
ReplyDeleteit warms my heart to see that you shared that song from our yt channel.
I love the lyrics: they are so deep and true and therefore they make me believe like you.
Huge contrast when you daily write about the healthy lifestyle and then suddenly watch the news on Amy W.'s death and that she couldn't carry on with her life anymore.
But Significant and Precious your reaction.
Such a great thing to show your faith to the people and encouraging to have faith: so rare to find this behaviour among the music celebrities especially nowadays, dear Anette.
My fav lines:
Cloudy skies rain down on all your dreams
Where our father waits
The weak shall be strong
Love the reprise:
Every knee will bow
Sin will have no place
in the glory of his amazing grace
Poochie
This song is so beautiful! Love it, and is so perfect for what happened this weekend :/
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this amazing music :)
Kisses
