in the valley is my favourite flower and has been ever since I was a little child. Today I feel that I need to send one to all of you and one to myself so we all get a nice and cosy sleep;=) For me, I hope my day in Stockholm will give me happy thoughts back and that todays gloominess disappears. And it usually does. One down-day then comes an up-day after that...Life is never boring, for sure;=)

To me the Lily is a secred flower as it was the flower and the name of my much missed Grandmother. Flowers are a happy and peaceful energy in life so I hope it gives you the peace you long for.

I LOVE lillies-of-the-valley! It always reminds me of my late grandmother. They were her favorite flowers. My mom and my sister and I always bring her a bouqet of the lillies every year, for her grave. It's been 8 years since her death and it's still so hard to adjust.. I just miss her a lot. Even though the pain is gone, love stays. Thank You for posting the picture, Anette. It reminded me of her and it's always good thoughts.

Although it may seem to us when we feel great or terrible that the feeling will never end - everything will always be great or terrible! - soon enough, things are different. Yet, in spite of the fact that this is what we experience through our whole lives, we often seem to close our eyes to it. To live in the present, but with an awareness of the past and hope for the future, is the best way (I think).

then the next is usually always better.
The best thing to do is keep your head up and
ignore the negativity around you,
and close your mind
to what you know will upset you.
And if you already have had a bad day,
try not to have high standards set for how
the rest of the day will plan out.
That way if something bad happens,
you are prepared and not setting yourself
up for a fall. And if something good happens,
it will make the day seem better to you.

The lilly in the valley has indeed the sweetest scent in the world, I love them, too. The little flowers also look so cute and it is a jot to see them coming up in the garden after the winter while the rest of the garden is still i winter sleep!

What a beautiful flower. =) Gloomy days are difficult to get through, but you are right that tomorrow is a new day and sometimes things can get better. I hate those days though, when it feels like everything is wrong and nothing can go right.
