So...

I dont know what Metal Hammer Germany writes about the things I wrote but its amazing how fast they pick up on things;=) And good, since I can get people to think and talk about what I write in here;=)

And of course my post was a deeper question, about life in general. I do believe that many of the warmest and most caring and loving people around me in my life has passed away to soon and this all came up to me yesterday when I saw MJ:s memorial. So it wasnt all about MJ but a general speaking...I guess sometimes people dont understand the whole context and then toss it to something else;=)

And believe me, I am not writing things here that say that anyone of you must think what I think. No, I just open to my inner thoughts and nothing that I wrote here says that Michael was totally good since everyone have a darker side. BUT I do feel and I think he did so much good with his music and lyrics. Many of them with a big and deeper meaning of healing, stop fighting, see ourselves and think about our actions..
And as we now can see, he touched people with that throughout the whole world...

We are all having the right to say what we feel if its done in a good and respectful manner, I think. And I think its really nice to read all the different views you all have shared with me about my thoughts. I like to communicate, I like to be able to get other inputs and that is exactly what you all and me share here;=) And I thank you for that;=)

  1. Well, we thank you for being
so open and caring with us because it is
    hard to trust people.
    THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU!!!

  2. And I know what you mean about losing
the people who seemed to have cared the most. My grandma just died of cancer,
and my great grandma's cancer has come back.

And you look up to him and say
    how he touched you,
well we look up to you and you have
touched a lot of us with your capacity
to love and care for people
and see the good in them and past the evil.

    Hugs and love, Katie T.

  3. By the way, will you be able to
wear that red, black, and white Hell bunny
    dress for your concert tomorrow???
    It's my 17th birthday! :D

Sorry for posting so much!!! :(

  4. Thanks to you Anette for being so sincere and for sharing your inner thoughts to us, and for listening to ours =)
Please don't care about negative comments from people who clearly don't know the meaning of communication and dialogue with each other. Some people are just unable to see further than their own nose, they shut down any communication channel and just feed themselves on their own arrogance. Nothing positive can be built out of this attitude.
But you're a smart woman and a free-thinker, so you can be stronger than any pointless negativity =)
Have a good night and sweet dreams!
Thank you for being just yourself =)
    Much love and hugs,
    Elisa

  5. People will always misunderstand some things...

Anyway, I commented on your other post, but I mispelled some stuff, so I deleted the comment, and I'll put it in here again...

I've just read your post about Michael, and I have to say that it made me cry... I couldn't stand watching his memorial yesterday... It hurted so much to think that he's really gone...

I agree with you... He could have a darker side, but personally I've never believed that he was a bad person and that he did those awful things with children, mostly because of his song and his words...
It deeply hurts me to think that another really good person is gone.

Nightwish is my favorite band, and each one of you guys in the band are my favorite musicians. But I do have to admit that Michael was one of my favorites too. He was not only a perfect artist, but also a human with a pure heart. His death has affected me so much...

It's so cruel what people do with celebrities... They think that they're not real people... They think that they are just "money machines" that have no feelings, no opinion... It happened specially with Michael... I saw an interview with his father yesterday, and gosh... that guy makes me sick! All those opportunist people makes me sick! Damn, this is so frustating!

Anyway, I wrote too much.. I'm sorry... I just felt that I had to say all these things to somebody...

Kisses and hugs, Anette! I love you =) And please, don't let people take care of your life as you were one of these "money machines"...

  6. So, Nettie thanks so much for trusting in us!!
Sometimes the people want understand only what they want and distort the meaning.

In this world it's very hard to trust and believe in someone.

And you're a really fantastic girl with a very inner and deep thoughts.

We living so far away but every time you write an entry seems that we are so close not only in the distance but also in the ideals and the thoughts.

    Hugs,
    Miriam

  7. And of course, thanks for sharing your thoughts! As I said, some people will always misunderstand some things... specially those people who are totally narrow-minded... But don't worry! I think most people here get what you say! :)

  8. hello Anette :-)
I was checking every 10 minutes to see if you wrote something. Always wondering what you are thinking. What you shared with us was very deep and emotional and it made me think a lot. I'ts true that not everyone shares the same opinion as long as we respect the differents. I'm also interested in other people vieuws. I wasn't a fan of Michael's music but I know that he was a good person! I hope he has found peace.

Today I would like to share something personal with you. Hope you don't mind.
I'm feeling really lonley right now. I'm not living my life the way I want it. I can not seem to find a true friend who's interested in me.. A lot of people are to bussy with themselfs.. Why is that?
Why does no one want to listen to others?

There are a lot of people who can only see thereselfs.. the only place I can talk about it is here. Everyone here is so lovefull and caring. I'm so glad I find your blog.

I hope you had a nice day today!
I'm now gonna try to get some sleep.

    Good night Anette :)
    kisses Ann

  9. Ann:
Of course you can share your thoughts here with me, always feel free to do that. And I understand that you feel down and lonely. I do belive in a way that we all see to ourselves first. I think the world makes us like that... but being a friend is to see if our friend needs us and then listen, try to put our own interests aside and take care of our friend. Have you talked to your friends or friend and said that you feel lonely right now, that you need support? Because sometimes we think that the person in front of us will understand and see our needs but they dont...we need to explain and open up to them so they can get the chance to help and be that friend... I hope you understand what I mean? Reach out to them... and also, the most important thing: It can be good to be alone sometimes because then we can get to know ourselves better and "hear" ourselves. Hear things that comes from our inner self and not from everyone else around us. My thoughts are with you and I know things will feel much much better very soon for you, Ann;=) Sleep well and lots of comforting hugs;=)

  12. hi anette :) i realy feel like its good that you do this blog, it make us see who you realy are and its amazing for me that you are doing this.

because, a lot of people can love the musician, can love the lyrics, the melody, but never realy fully understand the person...the soul within..

With the MJ's death, i understood a lot of things, as a fan, you got to see how the person truly is..the feelings..everything..

why only few people realy love "michael jackson the humanitary" and not only "oh!, michael the tabloide on amagazine that talks about him sleeping with kids or chilld molesting"?..and in the last few years it was all about that..thats why he decide to live on exciled

why he lived like he was in jail his entire life? without cant run free, without cant go to a supermarket and buy some fruits...without beign hunted...

i mean, in a way...i feel if we, as fans, love the person we idol...we should let them live too..they are persons too...and its realy sad to see that must of celebrities live their lifes hunted...

just a month ago i met one of my favorites singers ever..Geoff Tate from Queensryche..he's such a great guy..and he thanks us to be kind with him, to ask for a photo, and the "please" and "thank you"..he was realy happy 'cause he said "oftenly, fans are like 'you GOT to give me your autograph' like if you ou them something" i mean, he was that thank full with us that invited us back stage!

at the end of this, what i come up with..its that, in the world..we need to have more RESPECT..to everybody..and lots of love...and thats what i send to you anette..you are such a great girl! god bless you :)
take care! and sorry for my bad english :$..
    lots of love :)

  13. Hi Anette,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us.
You are a most sentient hearted, most loveable and most opened girl in our little world.Don't change, please!
And yes, I think most of us understood that your post was not about M.Jackson...
He was not my favorite at all, but I thought about how I feel to lose someone I love it...
Terrible feelings...and unfortunately the good ones passed away first...
    Why???
I think no answer for it...
Please don't care about negative critics and negative persons, you're from the GOOD ones.
    love and take care
    Erika

  15. Hi, Anette.

I enrich myself reading all the things you write in this blog and all the comments and different points of view of the people here.
You know, I really have difficulties with expressing my feelings and thoughts in English, most of the time I couldn't express myself, but I'd like to thank you for all the good things you write, for giving and receiving experiences.

    Amy:
I'm quite in the same situation as you. I don't know how old are you, but I'm sure you have so many things to receveice and enjoy from this world along your life's path. Don't feel lonely...and principally, never feel you lost the game.

I'm so sorry for my terrible English.

Have a good night lady Anette.

Greetings from a fan from Brazil.
    Take care.

  16. Good night, Anette!

Haven't been there for a while as an active post-writer..but I've read everything and..well, for some time I just couldn't find strength to write an answer. All these MJ news, Your thoughs about life and death in general, that this TV-memorial.. is was very tough thing to bear.

Back to Your previous posts.. I suppose we can't afford anything but to think that all good people are taken by God to free them from the weight of the world and etc. I do believe that my dear mom passed away too early (she was only 45) and I really hope that she's now at a better place and really doesn't suffer anymore, but even these thoughts just don't work. It will be 1,5 years soon and I still have these tearful nights...

I wish little Paris and the rest of Michael's children will go through his death in an easier way..
Sorry for such a gloomy post..

And thank You very much for being so caring and so warm and sincere!

    Hugs,
    Lerren

  18. Hi, Anette!
I agree with what you said about how it seems to good ones always go first. My father passed away four years ago, and this came as a shock to everyone. He was kind, decent human being, and didn't deserve to die. He was always doing good things for people, even if he got nothing in return, and people still did and said bad things to him. He was overworked, and tired. After a while, his bright personality changed, and he became quiet, and to himself. There was always worries about finances, and other things. He was killed in a work related injury. It was a terrible loss, and he is missed. Hopefully, he is in a better place now, where there are no worries, and no one to bring him down.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and for being such an inspiration. You have such a beautiful soul, and we love you.

  19. Metal Hammer doesn't write any bad things in their article.. In most parts they just translated the things Anette says here about why the good and caring people have to go too early. And in the beginning they tell that she has watched the memorial and cried from time to time.

That they are always looking for something new to post is somehow understandable. You can only sell advertising space if you can convince (or better prove to) your potential customers that there are enough people out there to read, listen or watch your publication. And why are we all reading those things? Because we want to know what's going on in the life of our favourite famous persons..

As long as they keep it relatively neutral (like that report) and don't try to think of any false big story around something it's part of being a person in the spotlight - I think.

Just one thing at the end. I'm not working for Metal Hammer or any other magazine..

  20. The article in the metal hammer was not negative at all, if you like I will add an English translation in a few hours under your post here as a comment. It was actually just a summary about how you felt after Michael Jackson's death. The only people making negative comments were some of the forum members of metal hammer but since everyone has a right to their own (even unjustified) opinion, I would not pay too much attention.
    Hugs, Katrin

  21. Yes i read the article i don't think it was negaive either. I honestly don't know why they made it a story. Anette you have the right to your own opinion and i agree with you. My mom saved my brothers and i from a abusive father who tried to kill us. My mom has always fought hard for us. Now 10 years later my father is out of jail living a life he doesn't deserve and my mom is now being taken care of by us kids because she is dying of breast cancer.

SO YES I HAVE TO AGREE WITH YOU. WHY DO ALL THE GOOD PEOPLE DIE FIRST?

Thank you for always coming on your blog and being yourself. It show your not just a singer of a band. you are a real person who shows no fear in sharing what she belives. That quality in its self makes you a strong person. Thanks so much anette.

  22. Here is the translation as promised:

Nightwish: Anette Olzon mourns Michael Jackson

The Swedish Nightwish singer Anette Olzon was one of the million viewers that watched Michael Jackson's memorial on TV and she now asks in her blog why always the kindest people have to die first.

The memorial of Michael Jackson was sometimes too much to watch, writes the Nightwish frontwoman Anette Olzon in a long blog post. Again and again she had tears in her eyes and asked herself, why the kindest people have to die first whilst the mean and egoistic people live long.

She also found a possible answer:

"I beliebe that God needs the good people for a higher purpose or maybe he wants to release them from their pain and sorrow which was inflicted by the mean people of this world. They are misunderstood and their help for others questioned. They are tortured by hate and envy."

There will also be good people, who would like to improve or change the world, explains Anette Olzon further, even though this will sometimes mean even more pain for these people.

"Their bodies and souls are unable to bear the pressure any longer and simply have to leave this earth."

  23. another note: I translated the article literally which means that Anette's quotation differ from her original post, I guess Metalhammer made their own interpretation/translation of her words.

  24. Hey Anette
Thank YOU for having this blog and sharing your toughts, it's realy nice of you. It's nice to read everyones toughts about those subjects and to see the different opinions :)
I really like it that you go deeper and have those questions which you have to think about.

    Amy:
I really understand how you're feeling, I've got that feeling also quiet a lot but I also agree with what Fabio and Anette said.
I also always try to think about the future, like: In the future there will be one who can understand me, a real friend :) I'm sure it will happen :)
I've got the problem that a lot of people around me don't understand me, I don't have the same interests and sometimes it's like I'm sort of older in some ways of thinking and intersests, everyone likes the same things (well, they SHOW that they like that, I know that doesn't mean they REALLY like that)but I don't like those things. But yes I can feel very lonely then.
But try to speak with the people around you and don't stay in the "dark place" where you only feel lonely, just believe in it that there will be someone who can make you feel less lonely :)

    Katrin:
Thanks for the translation, I actually don't know what to say about the article... :S

    Sorry for the long post!

  27. I understand this felings... this sadness, when good people just suddenly pass away... yesterday was a very sad day for me, because three years ago, a young girl, who had so much to give to this world, went away. She sang in "Elis" - maybe you know this band... And of course the whole question is - why is it all happening??? I guess, no one can answer, it just happens. And we only can live trying to be as good as we can. Maybe one day it will really mean something (in general)

  28. I understand you..

  29. Hello Anette and everyone!

Thank you Katrin for the translation. Apparenty MH took Anette's words out of the context and it really does look like they misinterpreted Anette's post a little bit. I'm wondering why was the reason of writing this article? I'm not sure what to think about it to tell you guys the truth. It's not a negative article but I really don't know what's hidden behind writing the article. Hopefully nothing. Just having mixed feelings about it.

I'd also like to say big thank YOU to, You, Anette for sharing so many beautiful thoughts with us for keeping Yourself close to us even though we're miles apart. Thank You for being so beautifully opened, caring and compassionate and thank You taking the time to give a bit of Yourself to us everyday, with every post. There's a life outside of the band and You're posting here more like a friend than an idol that we admire. I think it's so wonderful and thoughtful of You to want to share so many things with us. Thank You for Your trust and never ending care. It's means so much to us and we will never forget about it! <3

Amy: I really understand how are you feeling. Sometimes even though we're surrounded with friends we feel lonely and we feel like no one really understands us but I do believe that it's not true. Often it is hard for others to read out thoughts of emotions from our face because we tend to keep it for ourselves and well, many of our friends aren't mind reader and sometimes we get upset when our friends or closed ones don't see there's something wrong but it's not because they don't care but because simply because they don't know. I agree with what Anette and Night Star said. Talk to your best friend or a very good or your all friends about how you feel, your problems and thoughts and you will feel much better I assure you! Stay strong!!
