Sibiu in sunlight;=)

Here are my photos from Sibiu. Such a beautiful and "old" town. The buildings were so cool and beautiful and like I said yesterday, the people warm and very welcoming. I will for sure come back for vacation to this lovely country;=)

  1. Good morning Anette!

Thank You so much for the pictures! Romania reminds me a lot of my hometown. We also have those small old fashioned buildings with old and modern apartments or stores!

So glad You and the boys had such a fantastic time in Romania! Looking forward for the pictures!

Have a beautiful day and keep smiling!!

  3. Wow it looks so lovely there, it makes me want to go on holiday! It's great that you take the time and see the city before the gig if you have the time, that's the advantage of travelling around the world - seeing all the places you usually would not see in a lifetime.

  6. Hello Anette! :)

You're right! Romania is a beautful country^^ mainly Transyvania... It's a bit colder than the other parts of the country, but it is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to.

Anyway...Sibiu was a hungarian city, It's name was 'Nagyszeben' when it was belong to Hungary.

It's a good decision to go there on a holiday, and if you will be there, you can even spend some days in my country, in Hungary^^ :P :D

    Take care
    Jani

  12. Pretty pictures! :)

Anette, I've been meaning to say this forever and now I finally found the time and the guts to do it - I hope you won't be offended.

Please take care what you post in your blog. There's discussion about it all over the internet (the NW-related pages anyway) and I've heard people say that with the pictures you posted that were taken in your hometown (I think there was one with the view out of your own window or something?) one could easily figure out where exactly you live with the help of Google Earth - including your address and everything.

I just want to advise you to be careful, and maybe think twice before you upload photos :)

Thanks for the regular updates anyway, with so little news from the other NW members it's nice to get small glimpses into your life every now and then! :)

    Cheers :)

  13. Dear Anette,
I have a question. It is very important for me and I would be very glad if you answered it. I'd asked it in a comment at an older post but I think you didnt noticed it.
I know it was nearly two weeks ago but at the Masters of Rock we brought some gifts for you and for the band. We wanted to give it to you personally but it was impossible because the lot of fan so we gave the stuff to an unknown girl during the signing session to give it to you.
I'd like to know if you got all the gifts? The six bottles for all of the members and Ewo (in a red-paper-covered-paper box stuffed with newspaper :D), the earrings for you, the chest with a poem for Tuomas, and the 5 drawings in the 3 folders (one yellow, one blue and one uncolored).
I'm afraid if we had lost some of these gifts in the crowd and we werent success.
Please answer if you got these things. It is very important for me.
And if you have some time you can also tell if you liked the gifts or not. ;)
I guess you always get presents from the fans but I hope you still remember ours.

    Love,
    Dóri

  15. Hello, Anette!
I'm glad you loved our city. Even though it's not so big, I think there really are some very pretty things to see in it and, just like you said, it's a great place for spending your holidays. There's history, culture, but also peace and nice scenery around.
Unfortunately, the weather was so hot these days, I think you and the boys weren't used to it so I'm sorry if it took away some of the "charm" of the city.
The show was wonderful. I remember people starting to cheer for Nightwish even when Subscribe were still playing. I was in the first row and I think the concert was the best you could get from a band. It felt like it ended in 15 minutes, the time just flew away. Apparently this year's edition of Artmania brought the biggest audience and I'm sure everybody had a really good time.
We managed to have a photo taken with Tuomas, Marco and Peter of Pain before the shows. We also saw you sitting at the table with the boys at noontime, but we kinda felt embarassed to walk there and bother you (and them, AGAIN heheh), so maybe better luck next time. =)
We're glad you liked the banner, now we can't wait for you guys to come back for another show so that we can come up with something else.
Now, after the show, all that there is to be said is, again, ANETTE DU ÄGER!

  17. Looks sooo beautiful and hot :D The old-fashioned style always creates a great atmoshphere, good that people have decided to keep it like that in Sibiu!

  18. What a lovely town! I could go there too :)

I´m a little bit jealous for you (I mean all of you in the band), because you can be in many country and see a lot..
Of course I know downside of this too and that it´s so hard and stressful, from that I´m not so jealous ;D

  19. I'm glad you liked Sibiu. It is indeed a beautiful city. Probably the nicest one in Romania.
As for you guys, you were great. Lots of pyro and the whole show was all energy...you made the crowd ecstatic :D
Oh, and the fact that you were sitting there all alone in the café, reading your vampire book :) and just relaxing...i couldn't believe my eyes when i saw you. Not many fans recognized/saw you sitting there(as i saw), although the city and mainly the square was filled with people who'd come from all over just to see you.
Anyway, you were very cute and friendly when we asked for a photo.
Did you finish your book? cause you said you were at the end and it was getting more and more exciting :)
Have a very nice summer and come visit again some time :)

    Hugz,
    Gerda

  20. Hi Anette
Wow that place is beautiful, so peacefull it looks
and I LOVE those little boots you're wearing!;p

by the way, I just wrote something thats been on my mind for a long time, dont know if its appropriate to post here but dont know where else to put it ;p
Its sort of inspired by Nemo and my own feelings (i know, very original title...not;p)

    "No One"

    Who am I?
    I am No One,
No One cares and No One listens

    Who am I?
    I am No One
    No One seems to understand,
The empty words that leave these hands

    Who am I?
    I am No One
The Nameless One, the Lonely One
    The One without meaning

    Who am I?
    I am the Lost One,
I Lost myself in Fields of Beauty,
    Fields of Innocence

    Who am I?
    I am No One,
Just another Face in the Crowd
And though I Hope you won't Forget me,
    I go, without a Sound...

    Well, thats it =)
if you have time, let me know what you think =D
Hope you have a fantastic day!

    Hugs, Lisa

  27. Anette, in third image you could see the oldest metal brdige in Romania (built in 1859) instead of the old Liars Brdige (called like because people sold things on it and probably overestimate the values of their items) which was made from wood. The new bridge took the name of the old bridge. And people say that you have to tell the truth and only the truth on the Liars Brdige, otherwise you will have bad luck.

Next time when you come in Sibiu, take some time and go in the Evangelist Church Tower. It is the tallest tower in Transylvania and the view is marvelous from there.

  35. dammit Gerda, you're from Cluj and this is what you're telling Anette? "SIBIU IS PROBABLY THE NICEST CITY IN ROMANIA OMG" :\
Sibiu is okay, but compared to our city, Cluj Napoca (or Kolozvar, the lame Hungarian appellation), it's pretty much LITTLE and ... even normal, I guess.

Anette if you're planning to come back on vacation, I suggest you take a trip throughout Transylvania, there's more to see than just one city here! :)

  36. I am so glad you liked the city. And thank you for the wonderful show! You were all shining! I am from Romania and traveled 700 km to Debrecen, Hungary, to see the concert in April, because I didn't know you would come to Romania; but Nightwish at Artmania was really good news!
