Good day

Well, I woke up an hour ago and just sitting with my coffee;=) thanks to all of you for the nice comments about my new tattoo. It heals perfectly and I must say I have my great healing skin to thank for that. I have a good body when it comes to that. All tattooers have said my skin is perfect for making a tattoo so I am happy about that.

Having a tattoo do hurt a bit and some areas are really soar and not so nice. The worst part I have done is the one in my shoulder. When he tattooed the closest part to the throat it felt like I was gonna suffocate. I guess the nerves on me there were exactly under the needle. Otherwise the lower back hurt like hell on me and on the top of the foot I did now, there was a spot on the highest part of the foot bone that wasnt such a nice spot...

I am not a "strong" person when it comes to pain but I cope since tattooing isnt that much down in the skin. Its mostly just touching the upper surface. And like I said: its a positive pain;=) You get something beautiful from the pain;=)

And just like having a baby, the pain is different for everybody so we will all feel it differently.
But if you like tattoos and want one, I know you will survive the pain for that moment;=)

  1. Jag har funderat på en tatuering rätt länge nu och är det så att smärttoleransen ter sig olika från person till person? Eller kan man på något sätt beskriva smärtan? // David

  2. Good morning Anette! =)
Your new tattoo fits you really well! Gosh, I can't believe you managed to do sooo many things in just 3-4 days... Do 2 shows in different distant countries, drive to bring presents for your son, do a tattoo, and have a birthday party! =) I admire your energy a lot, and the fact that you always have a smile on your face =)
I wanted to ask you, how is your sweet Gremlins? Did you find out what happened to her hair? Is she well now? I really hope so!
A kiss to her and to you! =)
    Love,
    Elisa

  10. Good day, Nettan! =D

Oh yes, last post I didn't comment anything about your new tattoo. That's really beautiful! ^^ What did the guys say about it?

Sometimes I think about doing a tattoo one day, but then I start to think again if it's worthy and if I'll still like it in the future! I don't have problems with parents' approval, it's just depends on me...

Hugs from Brazil and see ya later!
    ^^

  11. I'm sorry that Gremlins is not well yet. It may be a not too serious problem though, just see the vet and please let us know how it goes!
    Love and hugs,

  12. Probaly a stupid question but does your cat bite it's tail? I read that it is one main cause.

    My cat does it sometimes.

    Hope your cat gets better.

  13. I guess once you have a baby.. no pain can be as bad ;=).

Did anyone hear/see this about this poor Belgium girl who fell asleep while having 3 little stars tattooed on her face, only to find the tattoo artist had done 56 of them on her face? I feel very sorry for her.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNyHeshECb4

Lots of love to Gremlins and hope she is ok.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Nightwish Uk fanclub: Well, that girl later admitted that she actually had asked for 56 stars, but since her father got angry she decided to lie and say that it was the tattooer's fault.
At least that's what was told in newspapers here!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Thank you Elisa for that info. This girl was only 18 :=(. Maybe some countries should raise the age that tattooe's are done to prevent younger people making a mistake like this. Some countries require you to be 21 or so to buy alcohol or have plastic surgery for example, but they will let someone younger have something permanent done to their body that can't easily be changed after. I just hope she comes to like her appearance.

  16. Hello Anette!
Do you think tattoo is pained as piercing?? Thank you for your answer :)
And.. I´m sorrier of your Gremlins :( I wish you very luck with your cat!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Kaejzi: I think being pierced hurts more but its such a fast pain luckily;=) Getting a tattoo hurts less but takes more time.

  18. Good morning Anette!
I love your new tattoo, I'd love to have one some day but I think my Mum will kill me first ha ha =).
Have a nice day and I hope your little kitty cat gets well soon.

    Lots of hugs

  19. @ Nightwishes (Nightwishuk fanclub):

The case of the girl with the 56 stars was big news over here. She first claimed she only wanted 3 stars, fell asleep whilst she was tattooed and ended up with 56. She later admitted though that she lied, she had agreed to get 56 stars and only because her father was angry when he saw the result she said she was given 56 stars by accident. There is also no way you could fall asleep while someone is tattooing your face, I find that quite impossible.

It says a lot about the tattoo artist as well because there some serious artists out there that will not tattoo your face, for obvious reasons, but unfortunately not everyone is like that. I think he holds a responsibility as well, even though she was legally old enough and did not need a permission.

One should always wait until the right moment when it comes to a tattoo because it is something you will carry for the rest of your life. I carried my design for my tattoo for 2 years with me until I knew I still really would like to get it. I have it now for 12 years and still love it. And you should always check the tattoo shop and tattoo artist beforehand, talk to the guys and if you just feel slightly on edge because of the shop or the person, simply don't do it and find someone else.

  20. I'm late again, duh -- congrats on the new tattoo! ;-) Stunningly beautiful, this Stas is a true artist. And runes... wow! ♥

Oh yeah, and happy belated birthday to your son, too! :-)

Tattoos are something addictive... if I had the money I'd probably be covered with them from head to toe myself... :-)

Thanks for the backstage photos, too! The boys look so happy and relaxed -- the Marco pic is the best :-D (though Tuomas @ the airport looks a bit like "oh please... do I really need to pose in _yet_ another photo..." ;-) )

Take care and greetings from cold and rainy Hellsinki -- hopefully you have a bit nicer summer weathers on that side of the pond... :-)

  21. Good morning Anette!
Thank you for sharing with us your
    tattoo experience.
I have talked to a coupe of people
about it but they did have
the "variety of locations" when it came
    to where their tattoo's were.
They had them all in the same area.
But I do know that the closer
any neeedle or anything is to a bigger
or major bone, the more it will hurt.
    So that probably would
    explain your shoulder and backbone.
Hope you have a good day!

    Hugs and love, Katie T.

  23. Good Morning!! ;=)
you are lucky to have a healing skin for tattoos.. because some days ago i was talking to a girl who had her fisrt tattoo on her back and she told me that she couldn't even sleep because of the pain for about three days.. :/ so i guess that tattoos is a hard thing to do.. ;P
but it's worth it.. because tattoos are sooo beautiful ..

  24. There can be nothing more then a skin that heals in that way pretty well. man, I had a friend that was the completly opposite of that. THAT was awful.
But your new tattoo it really looks wonder-and bautiful.
    God choice

  30. I really don't have the guts to take a tattoo. I probably would take a little tiny small 1 cm high heart to somewhere where it doesn't hurt! =D
I would take a piercing so much easier ;)

  32. Hey Nettie!
I wonder where do you get all of this energy. You have done so many things in a very short period of time. 2 shows, birthday presents for your son and a party as well and get a tattoo. I hope I didn't miss anything. :P
    You really ARE great.
I am glad your foot is healing nicely. And it must be good that you have a very easy-healing skin, since you have gotten tattoos. Oh the one on your shoulder is awesome, I really love it. The other one that says: Leave me alone is very nice too. :)
And of course as I said about your new one it is beautiful. ;=)

    See you. :)

  34. Thanks for telling us about tattoos :) yours looks lovely by the way... it's nice to learn a little about them, I've been debating getting a tattoo when I turn eighteen, but Im scared about how much it hurts... it's not for another two years though so I have plenty of time to decide.

  35. Hello Anette :-)
I don't know how my body reacts on tattoos, I don't have anny.. yet ;-)
I would love to but I'm 17 so I need permission
from my mom, which she is not giving. But who knows, maybe in a few years. I really like yours! Also the '' leave me alone '' :D
you look great with all you're tattoos!!

    Have a nice day
    and thanks for posting!

  37. Good morning, Anette.

If I can work up the courage AND find a good shop to do it, I probably will get a tattoo, but I DO know that I don't heal well from peircings, with the exception of my nose, that healed quite well, the tounge and lip... not so much :(

Does that mean that I WON'T be a good canidate for a tattoo? Only time will tell, and I WILL be posting pictures, lol, I feel tht I have too :)

  40. Hello Nettie =)
You are brave to get all of those tattoos! I've always wanted one, but the problem is they can be so expensive. I would have to save a lot of money for it. I'll probably wait a while into the future. I've always wondered which parts hurt the most. I've heard the foot and ankle are ones that are really painful.

  41. Hello, Anette =)

I am so sorry about your cat =(
I really feel sad when I see animals in this kind of situation. I hope she get better soon.

By the way, I loved your new tatoo. I was asking myself, how much time did Stas take to draw that beautiful job? =P
I'm afraid to "suffer" lot of pain when I decide to get my first tattoo. But I was thinking, it's better choose a small pattern.
So obvious, isn't it? eh eh.

Greetings from a fan from Brazil.
    Take care.

  45. I understand why you say that Hendrik. But, let's not talk stupid about each other..
Maybe it is better for Anette to answer the question of Ramses.
And it is probably not possible for her to call or email/chat/whatever with fans, because there are so many people who would like to chat with her from time to time.
So, lets not overpressure her, but respect her privacy.

Sorry to involve, let's talk about something else..

    Goodmorning Anette :)
    I'm sorry about Gremlins.
My cat (Rostie) has also something weird.
In the past he has scratched his head, so he had many wounds and hair fell out. We went to the vet and he thought of a allergy, but it is hard to find that out. He gave him a injection to cure the wounds.
After that everything went great. Now, half year later, he has the same thing. Poor Rostie, his head itches so much. We will probably take him today again to the vet!

  47. I have a tattoo at the same area where Anette has her clef, frontside of the shoulder/breast...mine is in fact stretching even a bit lower on the breast.

When it was made I asked the tattooist what is the most sensitive area to get tattooed, what hurts most...and he said this area!:-)
and well...I cannot say I'd call this pain...a little tingling, stitching...but it didn't hurt actually.
so don't worry, if you wanna get a tattoo, get it.
