Ok, so I did do something more than sing yesterday in Norway;=) I met a great tattoo artist who took time to do me a new amazing tattoo on my foot;=) His name is Stanislav, called Stas and has moved from Russia to Norway to try his luck over there with his skills as a great tattoo artist and air brusher. His work is so beautiful and cool and I am very happy to have his nice drawing on my foot.
His studio is called Ahnenerbe Tattoo. Click here to go to his site.
The tattoo was made during 2,5 hours with the talking and drawing and deciding how it should look. I asked him to do a cross with the word Faith in swedish and he came up with the idea of writing it in runes. Then he made some nice floral ornament around it to match the other tattoos I already have. For me its important to have the same theme and style in my tattoos. Stas wanted to do some more shadows etc but due to lack of time we have to do that another time. I love it as it looks and I think its perfect!

You have got to be pretty hardcore! When I got my foot/ankle tattoo done, I could barely walk for the rest of the day let alone get on stage and perform!

For myself I made out that I don't want any tatoos or piercings. I know I would regret it later on. But insteed I like Henna Tatoos. So I got some already.
I think it's also very clever to mach al your tatoos. Otherwise there's no story in the different art pieces on your skin. ^^

ReplyDeleteWell, getting a tattoo hurts a bit depending on the area of where you´re putting it but doing a tattoo is a positive feeling at the same time since you get something so nice out of it. And I have really good healing skin so it wasnt painful at all to put on the shoes. The most important thing is to keep it moisty and not get it dried out. Sleep well and hugs!

I love the new tattoo, I think it's really freaking cool, I want to get the pendulum on my right forearm, because I think it's an awesome design and to symbolize that Nightwish is a turning point for me. It would take far too long to explain just what I mean by that, lets just say I've had a rough-and-tumble life, but I still see the good in people and in life.

ReplyDeleteStas did a really good job here, the tattoo is incredibly beautiful plus it has a deeper meaning and matches, like you said, your other tattoos.
Also I am astonished how quickly you "get back to normal" after getting your tattoo, I mean wearing strappy shoes and performing on full steam etc. When I had my tattoo done I was in moderate pain for two days =)
You make us all look like whimps, haha =) but then we knew that you are a tough cookie!
But you are right, getting tattoed hurts but in a positive way because you know you will come out wth something beautiful in the end.
Have a great Monday and take some rest, the last days were pretty stressful for you so now it is time for some Anette-time =)

I got that in London on March 12, the day after seeing your show at the Brixton Academy. I didn't have the time or money to get it finished with the beam up to my elbow and haven't done so yet, but I love it to death.
That tattoo is SO gorgeous! I love how all the lines are curved and flowing, all of your tattoos are this way, actually. Very feminine and graceful, not the edgy kind of them.Now you'll have to wear sandals and open shoes all the time, so we can see it fully! :D

ReplyDeleteOceano 90: When it comes to tattoos my own opinion is to to do something that is purely you or has a big meaning to you. Since it´s gonna sit there all your life;=) I have both text messages and pictures and they all are about music, faith, remembering me about myself and about my son. Whatever I do I think about where it will look the best, about the curves and also that I might want to hide it someday. If I had been very young when I did them I would have hidden them much more but now in this job I have, I can put them where I want. Think about that it needs to be something you really like and love. Also make sure the artist draws a special one just for you;=)
