Pain and me in Sibiu

So, the boys in Pain asked me if I wanted to join them when they were gonna do Follow me in Artmania and of course it was an honour to sing with them again;=) Found a video of it and I must say that wearing a bathing suit with no straps holding it was a BAD idea;=) hehe.. but hey hey, sometimes we choose the wrong stage clothes...

Thanks Pain-boys for a wonderful live performance and for the laughs we once again shared together;=) Pain will play in Oulu and Iisalmi next weekend if you are in Finland.

  3. LOL @ your comment about the bath suit, I had seen this video already but have say that I did not notice anything strange.

Do you find it sometimes odd to watch performances of yourself on videos on YouTube etc.?

  7. Hey... thanks for posting the video, always nice to see one of my favorite songs performed live :)

About the bathing suit top... wearing it at the pool, great idea, wearing it onstage and bouncing around as much as you do.... possible wardrobe malfunction :P

And I mean that in the nicest of ways :)

  8. good morning, Anette!:))
Hehe, I bet You won't ever dress such kind of tops ever onstage)))
what a wonderful performance! What about playing this song with PAIN at the Rissian gig, pleeeaaaseee!)) of course we'll all go totally nuts but that would be awesome ))

and I wanted to ask You in case You may know..we want to make some presents for You and the guys in Russia, but have some problems. I've found some very sweet toys and they are labelled to be made in China, but they're really good and of high quality. Don't you, Anette and all the guys here know, whether these toys are allowed to be brought in Sweden and Finland? You'll never know so I decided to ask in advance)

thank You very much for Your blog..I really have no words to describe my feelings but it's wonderful that we have You, Anette, that You shine and give us Your warmth and light :))

    Hugs, Lerren

  11. Anette, you ROCKED! (I told Marco to tell you that, too) :D
All the gig was so beautiful, touchy, you sang with so much passion, and you were so nice in between the songs along with mr. Hietala (by the way, what was he trying to make us say there?)
(Oh, and did you see the exhibition? I went there with Marco, Tuomas, and Ewo but I don't know if the rest of you saw it)
    Have a nice day!

  12. I can't thank you enough for posting this video, Pain is great and I love your energy on the stage.

And another thank you for information that Pain will play here in Oulu. If I can I will definitely go to see them. :) And I hope Nightwish could someday come here again. The gig in Club Teatria few years ago was wonderful!

  13. Hi. I was waiting for u're posts about Sibiu and the concert. We all saw u're problem with the top but don't worry, all that matters is the way u and Pain sang. And of course it was amazing. I was on the front line, and must say it was the most amazing concert I ever saw.
Hope u really liked Sibiu and Romania, and hope that u will come back, with Nightwish, or as u already said, in a holiday. Indeed, it is a beautiful country, and there are lots of places to see.

  15. Hej Anette
This is a really good performance of a really godo song, I love it :)

And I love your trousers, I thought about buying some similar like this, but my mother always say that they look terrible and that they're too expensive. I always answer that this is the fashion of today :)

  16. Dear Anette,

Amaranth is a great song. The Islander, however, has burrowed into my brain and is
on some kind of recursive loop, I'm singing it in my head while gardening, swimming,
driving, reading, washing, and yes... even during more intimate moments, it is
driving me insane for the past month, I will need to have therapy if this continues.
"Dark Passion Play" is a very good album, especially Eva, Last of the Wilds, and Meadows
of Heaven. A pity that "While your lips are still red" could not have been included
as an extra track, maybe on a future album though. I can admit it now, I never
purchased a Nightwish album prior to "Dark Passion Play", I just did not enjoy the
singing, I honestly could not listen to it, but with you, "the boys" have struck gold, how
wonderful fate can be sometimes. Enjoy this moment in your life, for it is a radiant star.
Shine so very brightly while you can, enjoy everything, beautiful blue-eyed lady.

  17. Haha, sometimes we do bad choices but who cares! =D You sounded great. I must say that this is the only song I have heard from Pain.

And this week you come to Finland! I'm so happy for that.
I really really hope that you play Escapist, Ever Dream and Ghost Love Score. I beg you! I was in Sauna Open Air Tampere on 7th June and I was disappointed because you didn't play Escapist there. So please, I beg you on my knees =D

  18. Hey Anette!

That was such a great performance, you sounded amazing and I didn't think you looked too bad at all.

I've just discovered your blog, having just signed up for one myself, and I think it's brilliant. Your posts made me feel pretty much every possible emotion and so I thank you for that. You are amazing.

  23. Good time of day, Annette!
Just say that your not a rampant fan or fan at all, but because I will not write about love and affection, as lie bad =) But to insult you, I will not, because it's all the same low and roughly in relation to you ...
I became acquainted with the work of the group Nightwish, when they were still in the first composition and the whole soul fell in love with their work, their style. But because we are not subject to the return time, a loud cry of the past should not, I think. That is why I continue to be interested in contemporary art has already Nightwish. Most of all I like your two songs: "Amaranth" and "Bye bye Beautiful". The latest song by the way is a non-standard video, but I think it is good because the world is changing and the image of the group, too, must change, or where to take inspiration from? =)
But there are things to which I am more skeptical. This new performance of old songs. I think, in some places it looks contradictory and scandalous. But I like "Wish I had An Angel" in your performance. In you a lot of energy and it certainly helps everyone, but I think that should be taken into consideration all the same theme songs, and sometimes create a more serious and tragic way. I do not always understand your image on stage and I'm a little confused. But you are very strong, strong-willed person, because the weak do not endure such a strain, in which I commend to you.
Now a new phase in the life of us all, and very interesting, how will the next album. I would like to wish you to become ... how to express it ... Well over a fatal woman. However, it is certainly your choice and one you will not decree. I am sure that in any case, Nightwish will never lose their true identity and never lose the true fans!
In September, almost by the end of the tour you will be in Russia, where I live, in Moscow. You are coming with new stuff to us for the first time and you are waiting for your arrival triggered a wave of incredible joy! I would like to ask you, Annette, apologized in advance for the opportunity to repeat the question: as you yourself have ever been to Russia? And what associations you have with our country? I'm sorry, but I can not get to your concert because I live in another city, but I hope that the internet can be viewed entries ... perhaps this is all that I wanted to say!
I apologize that has claimed so many places in your blog and your own time!
    Good luck to you!
P.S. Sorry for my English - I have translated on the Internet

  24. Anette,
I've read Nikola or Vera's comment. You're right, he's quite disrespectful but it seems like there is something you just ignore: those people who say yes to every little thing you may ever do and give a great deal of compliments are the really disrespectful people because most of them are totally hypocrite and don't care about what you do or did or gonna do. It's just some kind of false kindness to an easy-reached star. Believe me, there's often nothing else.

  27. OMG! in april, the last time you played in hungary, we were waiting for this song trough the whole pain show, 'cause we thought that the end of a tourleg would be enough reason for you to perform it together: DD but still, it was a great show, so no complains..; )

  31. Hi Anette!

Thank you for the video! It's a bit hard to hear because of the doubled sound but looks like You had a great time with the Pain boys! :D Good for You!

Haha, aww I'm sorry to hear about the top slipping down. I know how annoying it is to jump when you have a bathing suit top on.. especially when You have a nice.. uhm bust ;)) You looked lovely!

  32. Thanks for video!! Since I have heard for the first time this song, it for ever in my heart and a player)) It very much approaches to you and you perfectly sing in a duet))
Very much it would be desirable to hear this song at us - here, in Russia. In September you come to us with a concert and Pain too will arrive.!
On behalf of all Russian fans I ask you - if there will be a possibility, sing this song))
I promise - we will echo and loudly to shout "hep-hep"))
    With love from Russia, Olga.

a really good performance by the way!

*If you remember the blog of mine you read,
    the girl who has posted

  36. Hello, Anette!
We have uploaded the banner pics at the Artmania gig and we just wanted to share them with you! Unfortunately we didn't manage to take a picture of the banner AND us when it was ready, but http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=21jp2j9&s=3 here we are anyway with another little banner we scratched, http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2s1k7zo&s=3 - this is the banner before we wrote Nightwish on it and http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=v2sht4&s=3 - this one is after we finished it.

Hope the guitar playing turns out really well, maybe you can compose a little tune and share it with us!
    Good night and sleep well!

I'll be there, oh how I wish you could come there too! ;D But I'm coming to Stockholm 13. august, and I'm really excited! Thank you for the video, you rock! I didn't know Pain before you made this song with them, I like them a lot.

  41. Well you still look good so I'm assuming that you mean because you felt like you had to keep pulling the top up all the time. So long as you didn't have any uh "wardrobe malfunctions" shall we say then just avoid them in the future if they make you feel uncomfortably clothed while on stage. You look like you are having a blast though! Must have been a great show!
