I have just done a phone interview and it went very well. I wont do any more interviews for a long time but this one was about the last Hartwall concert and the tour so it was nice to do that.
Yesterday I bought some new candles that are so lovely and shining bright here at my table now. I love the colours orange, fuchsia and black that I also have in the wall we painted a while ago. We also bought fuchsia and orange curtains at IKEA today and they will be put up tomorrow so of course I will take some photos for you.

Bad thing was that when I moved to Toronto I had to leave all my candle collection in Chile. =(
But surely I could buy some here and make a new collection.
Let me tell you that I'm excited and a little freak out because my best friend in Chile is giving birth to her first baby in a couple of days and I'm so happy for her, but I'm sad because I'm so far from them. But I know that everything it will be alright for them.

Anette, I really must thank you for your blog. You taking the time out to really reach out to people is such a wonderful positive thing to do and I think every artist or person out there with the power to make an impression should reach out and follow your lead. It is truly wonderful to be able to keep up with one of your favorite singers and really feel she cares and is connected with her fans. I am truly thankful! I can't wait to hear about your solo stuff, and I of course can't wait to hear from NW again! You really brought a sense of warmth and compassion to the music that was not there before! ReplyDeleteTomorrow I have a Halloween party with my girlfriends. We're watching scary movies and making Halloween cookies. I've got Halloween cookie cutters, and Halloween sprinkles and icing. The cookie cutters are great! They're in the shape of ghosts, pumpkins, spiders, cats. Things like that, and the sprinkles are the most cutest things ever! I'll take some photos of the results, and maybe a recipe if you want!
Girl nights are fun. You should have your own little Halloween get-together!

ReplyDeleteThis makes me think of 'The Secret, Law Of Attraction.' Have you ever heard of it? It's a book writing by Rhonda Byrne. And it explains the key of life: you want something, and you believe in it sooo hard, then it will be for real. It has to do with forces that surround us like attraction and defeasance. The book has many references towards philosofers, psychologists, metafysicists....
I have the book at home, but I haven't finished it yet. They name surtain people in the book that (according to the book) have lived by 'The Secret' and could get anything they wanted: Plato, Galileo, Einstein..
They also have made a movie of it and they have a website: http://thesecret.tv/
I think it's quite impressive! Could it really be the key to life-happiness... or something?
I like these paranormal kinda stuff! OOhh, that reminds me of something! Tonight it's again the 'Sixt sence' on tv (Flanders tv), about people who have a paranormal gift. And it's really scary what they can do, see, feel, know! At least if it is for real ofcourse.
I'm very curious about these stuff, but I don't know if it is really real.

Thank you Anette, you're sweet. I just got back from the doctor, he said it was an infection food and in two days should improve. If no improvement, I will to come back becouse have the possibility to be gastritis. He also prescribed me some anti-inflammatories to help ease the pain.

I'm so glad you had a good day and you're happy about your singing, Anette. Indeed, they say if one focuses enough on something they really wish for, it happens. There's even a book and a documentary about that, called "The Secret". In broad lines, it explains the universal law of attraction, which goes something like: if you focus on positive things, you shall attract them. If you think of bad things, it happens just the same. That's why one should never say "I hope I'm not ill/I hope I won't break up with my husband etc", but "I think I'm healthy/I want to have a long-lasting relationship" and all that.

I've been wanting this ever since I was born and prayed and hoped for oppertunities and now I've decided to go and do it myself. So... I love candles and incenses.
The day that I have my own room or when he ceases to divide one, buy many candles of this type. Incense I have many, but hardly use them, because people of my house don't like much... Usually I light my incense at times very important to me, as in New Year festivities, for example ... Enraçado is that whenever I'm with my friends, they bring incense to the places we go, is very funny .. A Metal party and Zen ... : D

I dont think so everything will come to you just for your wish. I have my best friend and she lost her parrents. her mother had a cancer and she very begged GOD for help. And what happend? NOTHING. Just wish is not enough. She had to broke her studium on university and now she had to be at work more than 8 hour per day. No free time, no money, no home, no parrents.Im sorry, if i wrote here something negative, but this is mine reality.

FOR LUNA...I comment on your post because it made me feel very sad. Life is so hard sometimes and even harder to stay positive when things like this happen to us. And so easy to see and feel negative when we see things go good for someone else. I am sorry for your friend's loss and for you also because you feel hurt for her.
ReplyDeletePraying for things sometimes also relies on the fate God grants us. And we are not always granted what we ask for.
BELIEVE ME things do get better and having money doesn't always mean everything either. I grew up a poor white in South Africa and later my father received a large sum of money and thought he was too good for our area we lived in and decided moved us. It was a disaster! We were so unhappy in that so called 'gated community' and my best friend was not even allowed in half the time because she is Swazi. He was also ashamed of me. Thank God my mother saw the light and left him moving us back to our old neighbourhood where we felt we belonged even though it was far from paradise, but it was our place in the world.
No one person's troubles or heartaches or fortunes are worse or better really than another's and should never be compared because we are the people experiencing them individually. We never think about the fortunes we receive during life, really do we.. just the bad. But keeping faith and being positive is all we have sometimes. We can pray for things or wish for them and they sometimes come true. Hearing all the horrible things my husband tells me about during his day (he is a doctor) with tears in his eyes, I ask him why he does it and how he can handle it. He simply answers that through all the horrible things the one or two smiles he gets is all worth it. Many die and many more survive to talk about it. He was also an ambalance tech in the UK before becoming a doc.
BELIEVE me him being a doctor has NOT gotten us any further ahead moneywise with a salary well under 20,000 less than the hosp respitory therapist who spends half the time in university, huge family sacrifices an time, we've loans out of our yoo hoos...no old family money or parents to help us, we have done it all on our own. We worked for our schooling and tried to hold on a solid plan which took us nearly 15 years to complete step by step.
Anette's blogs are enjoyable because I see so many positive things that I can appreciate and also wish for. She worked hard too to get into the music business and to buy the things she loves but I'm sure it wasn't always like that. She had a dream and no doubt suffered huge disappointments like we all have and understand that it would hard to read when the world is suffering, sometimes hardest in our back yard.
Keeping positive is very hard and not easy to do, but so much better than stomaching the negative. Please see the good and remind your friend that she has you to be there for her and encourage her to work hard for her dreams. You as well.

Just wanted to send a belated comment...I flew over from the US to see the final show at the Hartwall and it was awesome! You blew me away with 'Walking in the Air' and 'Meadow's in Heaven' to name a few....the show was incredible!!
My friends and I happened to be at a local Coffe place in Helsinki on Sunday for lunch and actually saw you and your boyfriend come in....you came outside and sat right across from us! I didn't feel it was the right time to interupt you or stop you when you left to say what a great show it was or anything, so I thought I would do that here!
Much peace in your time off from Nightwish and good luck with your new cd....I hope that you enjoy calm and hapiness for the next few years while you are off from Nightwish.
Remember we will be waiting for you, the Maestro, and the boys to come back to us...and I am sure you will again knock us away with your voice!
