Cooking oopsies;=)

Morning everyone;=)

Today I woke up with my alarm bell from my cell phone, but I couldnt find it...I just heard the annoying sound from somewhere in the room...after a while I finally found it in back corner hidden behind my drawer...hmmm....I guess Stjärnan have been up playing with it this night...I have this long strap to it and that is so fun to play with...;=)

Gym went well today, lifted heavy today so if I dont have any pain in my biceps tomorrow, somethings wrong;=)

Now I am doing a thing called "oopsies". Its eggs, philadelphia cheese and salt and then I added some grated dark chocolate and put in. They are now in the oven for 30 min and then eat!! Yummie!

I can tell you all that I am no longer a vegetarian...During the 6 months I only ate veggie I was so tired all the time, irritated and lack of total energy. So last week I started eating meat again and I feel better already. Before, I was constantly hungry...all the time... now I feel much better again. But it was a nice try;=)

  2. Hello!

  3. Hey Anette,

The cookies look so yummmmmi :)
I will try it out too.
Meat gives energy / power to the body so it's important to have some. I mostly eat chicken whick is slim meat. You can cook it in many many ways. I feel sorry for those animals but here in my country we keep them in our special gardens, in normal conditions so we dont hurt them unnecessarily.
Hope you will feel yourself even better by time. Gym takes a lots of power off of your body so take care :)

Have a nice autumn day ;)

    BIG hugs,

    Viktoria

  5. Good for you that you are no longer a vegetarian. I had the same, tried it for a while, but always felt tired, not enough energy etc. I do however felt lighter without meat, not so full.

A dietician once told me that we humans also simply need meat (after all we do not have incisor teeth for nothing), only not as much and about a 100 grams a time, about three times a week.

I think if we just vary what we eat and do not eat meat exessively and add lots of fruit and nuts to our daily diet it is perfectly fine.

And another thing for me, I simply love eating meat =)

And for you, seeing how much physical work you do with touring and working out, your body simply needs the extra protein and energy.

  7. Now that you have been a vegetarian will you still have some of the nice vegetarian meals you liked? It's good for people to have some meals a week without meat. I have been a vegetarian for around 10 years, and due to pressure from my meat-eating husband I have thought of giving up and eating a burger or meat pie but I know I would cry. I gave up meat due to the animals involved.

I bet that the first piece of meat tasted amazing after such a long time :=).

Have a good day and enjoy your oopsies.

    lots of respect
    Nikki

  9. "Oopsies"? Heheh, never heard of those before but have to try -- sounds like an easy recipe and low-carb so you can eat some even when on diet ;) (damn summertime laziness has cost me so many extra kilos it's about time to start doing something... :p)

I've had my affairs with vegetarianism too (for example when I practised yoga some years back). It _is_ possible to construct a vegetarian diet from which you get enough nutrients and proteins but damn, didn't those soya products, beans and peas start to taste boring after a few months :p So, back to meats for me too :) That much I try to fight against the inhumane conditions in which the production animals live though that I buy only organic meats or game -- tastes much better, too. And, the selection is surprisingly good nowadays, at least in the bigger supermarkets around here.

  10. I used to be a vegetarian for many years but then I became very anaemic so had to start eating meat again. I still enjoy the odd veggie meal, like quorn or veggie mince, and try to have a couple of meat free days during the week. However, I do eat a lot of fish now, and chicken at least once a week. I don't eat red meat as I don't like it, though I do eat lamb's liver once a month for the iron. We women do need a lot more iron than men. I've noticed that I am a lot healthier now though. I guess that some people need meat more than others. As long as we eat it in moderation! Also, protein is very important, especially for you, Anette, because you need a lot of energy for your job.

    Take care,
    Marie

  11. Good day Anette!

I think that meat is important in our diet. Not fatty meat but thin healthy white meat. I don't eat a lot of meat but I do eat it because it provides the body with proteins and calcium which we need very much. Good to hear You're feeling better already :D

    Love,
    Karo E.

  12. Yummie, that sounds really good!

Well it is a shame the vegetarian
    thing didn't work out,
    without certain vitamins you definitely
would feel tired. Did you try replacing
meat with nuts? Or other hings with protein?
Either way at least you tried!
I want to be a vegetarian but my mum said
    I can when I'm 18, so I have
until next July then I can be!

    Hugs and love, Katie T.

  16. They look nice xD

Aww it's a shame about the veggie thing, being a vegetarian made me feel 1000 times better. Possibly because I can't stand eating something what had once lived. Sure, meat is a part of a normal human beings diet, but sooo many people eat way too much meat, more than they need. And alot of it is wasted, and it just seems like a waste of life to me. Ad plus quorn is soo much nicer xD

    Ah well, nice try! xD

  18. I think good quality protein is really important in a diet. It helps with feeling satiated, which helps with energy. When I don't eat enough protein my energy flags & I wind up feeling more and more hungry, which is a vicious circle.

  19. Ooh, Anette, those look really tasty and pretty easy to cook! I'll try to do them myself, thanks for the recipe. :)

I'm glad you feel better now, after you've started having meat again. I suppose it will also help you with all those exercises at the gym, the weight-lifting etc. Those require a lot of energy and if you don't have it, they might even harm you, because of the effort. Anyhow, I supposed the "vegetarian period" was helpful as well. You probably got your body detoxified and refreshed with all the salads and veggies you had.
I wish you a great friday and a nice weekend! =)

  20. I had a crappy night myself... my sister in law got a parting shot from a skunk.... she got sprayed last night and now the whole house smells rank(the smell is a mixture of rotten egss, burnt rubber, and something dead) That recipie sounds awesome, I now know what to make for my brother's birthday.

See, that was my exact problem with attempting to go veggie... but my veggieness lasted about a week, and that was when I was younger. Still having to be careful about my sugar intake due to my hypoglocemia(ugh)I havent really had any problems, besides the tiredness from the low-blood-sugar. But that's an easy fix, I just eat more, or in the case of a nasty flare-up, eat something/drink something with sugar to boost my levels back up.

I hope that you have a good night hanging out with your sister :)
    Hugs, and love <3

  21. Ahh, are you not vegetarian anymore?? Bad news for me.
But, I have to agree that you feel hungry all the time when you are vegetarian. It happens to me too, it's hard being vegetarian!
Fortunately, I don't have lack of energy or vitamins...as yet. On the contrary...when I used to eat meat, I was always sleepy and tired.
I'm vegetarian for about four months now. As Nikki, I gave up meat due to the animals involved.

Well, if eating meat makes you feel better and with energy, I'm happy to hear it :)
The importance is feeling good :)
About those oopsies...they look so yummy, wow!

    Love you,
    Sorry for my English, hehehe,

  23. It's good that you decided to eat meat again not long after you stopped - my mum's been a vegetarian for 35 years and now if she ate meat it would make her ill. I don't eat meat either but my mum knows all the meat alternatives so it's fine for me. It can be quite difficult though, I hope you feel better now that you're eating meat again!

  24. According to surveys, the fibers of the meat are responsible for the sensation of satiety, that is, the more meat you eat, the more you feel satiated. This is because meat is a little harder to digest and whilst the body does not digest the brain not sends the message that you are hunger to your body. This may be an explanation for you have felt hungry while making this a vegetarian diet.
Have a nice day, all the best for you.
    Peace =)

  27. Hey nettan!!!

I tried to be a vegetarian some years ago and I felt like that too.. See, I live in the South of Brazil and here we eat a loooot of barbecue... When I stopped eating meat, I felt incomplete! hehehe I didn't want to eat meat because I love animals and didn't want to harm them, but now it's like.. Ok, I don't want to hurt animals, but I have to feed myself! hehehe

hugs to you and have a nice weekend!
