Another day of fixing for our home. Lots to fix but it will be so nice when ready. Its great that I now have time when I´m not travelling and I must say I havent put any time or effort in fixing our new place before. But since the home is a place where we are gonna spend so much time and feel safe and warm, its something I feel I need to fix now.
Today we ordered new beds, since the ones we have are making us both sleep so bad and wake up several times per night. Now we will have the new ones soon and I am longing to sleep a whole night of rested sleep;=)
Now its time to measure the rooms and make drawings to see that all new closets and beds etc can fit in to the rooms. I will also order the nice rose photo wall I showed you a while ago. I have never put up any kind of wall papers so it can be a nice experience.

my room is full of instruments (drums, guitar, bass, piano) no place for other things, just my bed lol

ReplyDeleteThere's nothing better than get our own house, leave the place where we live with our face. Here in my home whenever possible I change something in place, a new paint color, buy some new furniture ..... when I have money for this ;-).... and other things =)

Today something stressful happened to me. For the 8th time, my stabilizer is broken and my pc is shutting down alone again. I'll have to buy again a new stabilizer, is the 3 stabilizer that I need to buy in 6 months, argh... =(
Computers give many headaches, right =)

I'm pretty sure you will enjoy the new bed soon (maybe not as much as a complete night though).
And great choice with the photo wall, it's so cute! I try to imagine how it will look, i'm sure it will be gorgeous. :)
Last but not least, your blog is doing a miracle on me. It's been ages since i haven't feel so good, and my mother's harsh comments annoy me less than before - and a true wonder, i smile a lot! It's still far from perfect, but what a change! Even if it's true that i don't need a lot of things to be better or worse, i'm so grateful about this place. What could i say? Thank you seems not good enough, but i'm lost for words...

ReplyDeleteFixing a house can indeed be a pretty big thing to do, but I think the amount of effort your put in it pays off when you see the nice results afterwards, so I think it's that sort of 'positive exhaustion'.
My favorite pieces of furniture or home accessories, though, must be curtains and lamps. I've found a site with some beautiful vintage lamps to put on the night table, but they are pretty expensive, because they have actually been made long ago, not just a vintage-inspired model. I think one of them would make such a nice detail, though.

ReplyDeleteI also love this little stuff making the rooms so comfy. A good bed is the main thing, I agree. I had to sleep on an awful old one for about 7 years, and when one day I came home and saw the new big one I was enormously happy. Besides, my cat now has no need to sleep across the bed leaving me just the piece to balance on;)

ReplyDeleteI know the feeling after sleeping a bad night. I slept last night on my sister's sofa. It was kinda comfortable but the pillow was so bad that I had a headache after I woke up. So it's really important that the bed is good ;)
I think it's very nice to plan how you decorate the room and where all the closets and furniture will be placed but it's also tough. My sister just moved into a new appartment and all the fixing and decorating and that kind of stuff really adds her stress. Especially with the bedroom since she wanted there two beds but they don't fit there since the room is too small and now she has to make up some other solution.
But decorating and all that stuff can be really nice if things go just like you planned! ;)
