Show last night

Hi all,

Yesterday I was watching my bf play in a small band competition and they rocked! I really loved the singers voice and they passed through to the next run. This is just for fun but still its always fun to listen to smaller bands and be a bit excited when the results are said;=)

I lied in my bath tub last night and always when I lie there I get so much inspiration. It can be a song that comes to my head, an idea of some project or like yesterday: a book to write. I have been longing to write a book but havent felt that I had the right idea of it. Now I got one and I will ask for some help from you soon for it. I will return with more information;=)

Now some tea: nothing much happens here today. Enjoy the day'!

  1. Hi Anette, very interesting what you wrote! What kind of band are they? Do they cover or their song?

  2. Wow, a book? Sounds really interesting! I look forward to hearing more about it :)
I get inspired, for example to write or make pictures, listening to music, especially Nightwish :)

  3. I've always wanted to write a novel, but it seems like all the good ideas have already been written about by the time I have an idea solid enough in my head. Will yours be fictional, a self help, autobiography? This is exciting. Good luck on it! =]

Oh, I showed my new roommate Nightwish last night and she loved your voice. =]

  4. Hey Anette! I'm writing a book too right now , and one thing I find makes it more fun is adding little things from my life that I just adore: for instance, all the characters in my book are going to have Finnish last names, because I'm learning to speak Finnish ;-)
    Have a good day!
    Love,

  6. Hi Anette!
I can´t wait to hear your idea more. I´m sure it´s a great idea. Today I am going to a nightclub to see a great singer from finnish Idols. It´s still so cold here in Finland, but I think that the nightclub is warm place! Have a nice teatime and enjoy your day!

  8. Hi Anette!

A novel! I'm a wannabe writer myself; currently working on a 'serious' fantasy novel, and also a little frivolous fantasy romance which is just to have fun with while I write. That last thing will probably never be seen by another living soul :) Keep us posted on how your idea progresses!

out of curiousity - what is the next step on your album?

  10. Hi Anette!
This is the first time I´m writting something here but I watch your blog every day :)))
I´ve got too many things which I´d like to tell you but it´d keep so long (trust me ;-))
I think your idea of writting is OK- I write too (now, it´s the set of tales about our normally life, love, death and adventures). So, try it! :-)
    Huggs and kisses,

  11. Hi Anette,

Nice to hear that you got a lot of inspiration..
I wrote novels a few years ago.. Just for myself, no-one ever read it :) It's just a good way to let your own emotions and thoughts go..
I'm curious what kind of book you want to write?

    Hugs,

  12. Hi Anette,

How wonderful that you are writing a book. I've always thought when reading your blog that you should, as you write really well.

I've just finished my vampire novel and will be sending it out to agents/publishers soon. I've also started writing a new novel (about vampires again).

Please feel free to ask me for any help. You can contact me through my blog, where you can also find my email address.

  15. Hi Anette,

I wish you really a lot of strength to writing. I am really curious about the theme you want to write.
I have inspiration, but I do not have will to end it. I start and never end it. I am much more as a bard, I love to talk stories that I made up in my mind.
My friend writes beautiful stories, but she does not want to publish them. She has something about 30 stories about 300 pages each....

    Greetings,
    Sofia Jana

  16. I always love going to see small band venues, and enjoying the talents of up and coming musicians. Sometimes at the small bars and restuarants in my area, local bands will play for the patrons. Sometimes they play original material, and sometimes they do cover songs.

I love writing myself, thats what my blog is about. Unfortunately it's nothing original, but maybe one day I'll put some of that up.

Oh, and if you do release that solo album you were working on, I will deffinately be one of the first people to buy it! I never get tired of hearing your voice. Everything you sing always sounds so pretty.

    Take care! <3

  20. Oooh, a novel? Sounds intriguing. =) Just so you know, there is a website called NaNoWriMo.com, where you work your butt off to write a 50,000 word (or more) novel in the month of November. I took part in it last year, and it was amazing! I didn't quite finish my novel, but I did pass 50,000 words and 100 pages. And the best part is that if you do pass 50,000 words, you can have a proof copy of your novel printed and shipped to you for free!

It's a lot (A LOT!) of work to get a full-lenth novel done in a single month, but looking back, it was the best month of my life. I'd never actually followed through on any of my ideas for a novel before, but I started writing (and am currently 2/3s of the way done) something that I never thought I actually could even get to the half way mark. It was a very fun month, and I learned a hell of a lot about what I'm capable of and what my strengths and weaknesses are as not only a writer, but as a human being. Last November was my first year of NaNoWrimo, and I'm definitely going to participate this November as well!

Hehe. I take a lot of baths as well. Add some epsom salt, lavendar oil, candles, gentle music and I could lay in the tub all day! They really help my back and shoulders, which is fantastic because absolutely nothing else does help relieve the pain of my fibromyalgia in my back and shoulders. Not even painkillers. Ick. It's not fun.

Any chance you'll give us a hint as to what your novel idea is about?

    With love and admiration,

    Sammy

  24. Me 2, I have always wanted to write a book. A fantasy book in a fantasy world with magic and old history. But I don't have the time right now. Do you like fantasy books? like "Lord of The Rings", "Eragon", "Narnia" ...

  25. Hej Anette, i wish you and your familly a good afternoon/evening :)

    @Chris: happy bday dear :)

@Anette: Again, it was nice to read you... And a book, WOW!!!!
Lying in a bath is always a nice place to think and have some inspiration, maybe because you're alone and peaceful...
Did you watched the combined today? Anja got GOLD!!! I was so happy and excited (Anja is the only skier who could make me shout like when i watch a football match), it's great to have her on top again. 41 victories, Anja's the best!!!!
And to made this day better, i went out today for some shopping (my shopping is a bit curisou, i watch a lot but do not buy anything - especially at the end of the month). There's a nice shop who sell used and new clothes that i like, and i had my "carte de fidelité" full, wich means 15 euros free (shared with my mother, sadly, but it's still some good money i could use). For a month, ive been in this shop but couldn't found anything... And today, i've found my thing: a lovely vintage Guy Laroche velvet jacket, with beautiful blue color - for free (it was about 6 euros)!!!! :))) And with the bit of money left for me, i've found a cute little bracelet that i could wear without troubles with my crutches....
So far, this day gave me 3 nice smiles: Anja's gold, my lovely free jacket and bracelet, and your new post...

Last but not least, i have a little "gift" for everyone who could like it:
    http://www.gr-oborona.info/audio/yanka/index.html
There's 4 Yanka's albums, remastered (crystal clear sound!). If you like dark folk and russian/siberian diry punk from late 80's, or just want good music, go for it. Yanka is one of the best songwriter/poet i've ever listened, she really had a magical touch...

    *hugs*

  26. Wow, Anette, a book? That's actually one of the three of my greatest ambitions in life is to get a novel published. I've been developing the storyline and characters for it for several years now. It's coming along really well and I'll start actually writing the chapters in my free time soon. You might be interested. It has vampires in it ^.^

Congratulations to your b/f ^.^ Hope you're having a good day. I'm still trying to wake up.

  29. Ooooh, a book! I'm writing some sort of a story for more than half year now. The idea of it just poped up to my head and I sometimes feel like living in it...And it's creepy, because the story isn't nice! I've been writing short stories for years now, small poems too and my wish is to release this story that I'm writing now as a book. That would be amazing :)

  32. Hii Anette =)

Awesome that you're starting on a book!
I have been writing myself too, the story i'm working on now is called Rosemary Wynter and it's sort of influenced by the 19th century, gothic fiction and that sort of thing.
I have been writing shorter stories before but always felt that I could never finish them properly because they were so short, I hope that it does work with this longer one.
Good luck on your story, i'm eager to hear about it!

    Lots of love, Lisa <3

  35. Ever since I was a little girl I always wanted to write a book. Usually I started to write (by hand, not by computer) about this topic where the main character is a girl who really wants her own horse. I have to admit that this main character had many of my features ;)

I always started to write this horsebook of mine but they all were never finished. I just started to write always a new one ;D
I wanted to be a writer during my whole childhood but despite the desire I never got a single book finished :D

When I got a little bit older I gave up my dream to become a writer. Then I started to write short stories about this girl who liked certain boy and so on :D I got a few short stories ready but I never sent them to anywhere...

I hope your project will be more successful ;)

  36. Hi Anette :-)

It's a great project to write a book, I believe that it's really difficult to give the good words... like for lyrics of course.
When I read your post, I was thinking to my brother who is a writer.
    Good evening and hugs.

  39. Happy birthday Chris, hope you had a blast!! :)

Congratulations to your boyfriend, hope they make it to the final round and win the competition!

And I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you and your book! I'm curious what you're gonna write about. One of my best friends has written about 3 novels so far, all are around the same concept though, vampire/romance themed, all of them with the same main character. I personally find it so hard to write a book, since you have to pay so much attention to its form, unity, language and artistic figures and all, I think I'd get lost in them hehe.

Tell your boyfriend a big "thumbs up" for us and enjoy the evening!

  41. I have done NaNoWriMo also for several years now but part of the secret is the same as used then to get it done so quickly. The important part is to ignore the inner critic and editor and just get it down on paper first. There is always time later to fix the things you don't like about the first draft of the story. Trust me the novels you see on the shelves are as polished as they are after many, many rewrites.

If anyone wants to know what I mean about horrible first drafts, I keep most of my own on my blog. I'd be happy to give you or any of the other readers the passwords to those posts if you'd ever like to read the six books that are there. Keep in mind some are still a work in progress.

  43. Hello!

First, I want to say, I hope you will
find good inspiration for your book,
and we're all here for the support and
    help you need or want.
So, I hope that it works well for you.

Second, I also love chocolate cake with
    strawberries! Chocolate goes with anything,
    and with strawberries it's amazing!

Third, I really hope you will release
your album, but if not maybe you
could release it onto your website so
at least people can download it, you know?
I just really want to hear your solo because
I seriously have been so excited about it,
I've told all my friends that
they'll have to listen to it too because
I have faith in you and I think it will
    turn out well.

But congratulations to your bf, and
I hope he does good on the next round!

    Enjoy your day!

  49. Hey Anette!
Great idea to write a book!! I write stories since I was a little girl, but I haven't wrote a whole book yet ;=) The longest story that I wrote has 14 chapters, and at the moment I write a new one... Got four chapters already.
My stories are mostly Fantasy or Fanfiktion. Fanfiktions are stories, written by fans about their favourite actors or singers or movie/book characters... I'm writing on a Nightwish/Vampire story. You're a vampire, too, in the story ;=)
Wish you good luck and so much inspiration for the book and wish your bf good luck in the competition!

  51. Book writing is a great experience. That brings you to the moment when you can express all the scenery of your inner world. You also talked about clothing design, remember? Are you still after it?

And about the album releasing - we're longing, just like "Feed us.. with music"=), trying to figure out a concept, and you're not sure now?))) Why not? Is it too personal, or you think it's not well enough, or something? I'm sure that you'll find the fans support and understanding in any way, and besides, this can be a nice treat for usa ll for the upcoming holidays - Women's day, for example;)
Whatever you decide - we're always with you;) Take care!
