Sherlock Holmes

We are back from the movies and I liked Sherlock Holmes. It was filled with fun scenes mixed with cool fighting scenes, action and of course Sherlocks very very smart brain filled with conclusions noone else can see;=) My son also liked it and the 2 hours it lasted didnt feel long at all. So I can recommend it to you all.

  6. Hey, Anette!
Glad you had fun. I'm gonna watch it as well, both Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law are gorgeous, and a mystery movie can only be wonderful.
    Have a good day.

  15. Hi Anette!

First of all, Happy New Year!!! May all your wishes come true in 2010.

We write you from www.darkpassionsite.com, a Spanish Nightwish fan site (maybe you saw our link in the official web nightwish.com). We have worked hard for the last 2 years in order to have a web with a lot of information and the most recent news about Nightwish and your music. We also have a very active forum with lots of fans who everyday exchange their opinions about the band and music in general; and now we are very proud because we are nominated for Female Metal Awards 2009 as the best Spanish fan club. These awards are organized by Women In Metal (www.femalemetal.com) that is an association which supports women in metal and above all metal bands with female vocals. We are very happy and we want to share these great news with you because you made it possible by giving Nightwish your sweet and tender feminine touch.

Thanks for being like that and don't change ;-)

Take a big hug from your Spanish fans!!!

  21. I'm interested in watching this movie, though I am not sure that I will share your delight ;-)
Of course it is bright, full of cool fighting scenes and stuff like that. But I'm not sure that film has a spirit of Conan Doyle's characters. So I will watch it and try to find out if my apprehensions are true or not.
Talking about Sherlock Holmes screen versions, I adore the one that was filmed in USSR in the begining of 1980s. It is series of films based on Conan Doyle's stories about Sherlock Holmes. I know that Vasily Livanov who played the leading part there was spotted as the best movie Sherlock Holmes ever and he was honoured with Order of the British Empire by British Queen for this role. The series of films is called "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson", I'm not sure that it would be very easy to find it on DVD abroad Russia, but if you find it somewhere - I beg you to buy it cause it is awesome. ;-)

And by the way, haven't you seen Avatar yet? It is so good, so emotional, so bright and unreal, the music and the whole film is so amazing that I went out of cinema shocked and with tear-stained face after watching it, though I'm usually not so impressionable and sensitive for crying watching the movies. But I sat in the cinema and sometimes I couldn't do anything with myself - the feelings (the adoration, awe, fury, sorrow or smth else) overfilled me and I just silently burst into tears at some moments. =) I don't know why. So now it is in the top of my favourites. The movie is great, check it out ;-)

    Best wishes,
    Maria ^^

  24. I liked this movie very much))but, in our country (Russia), during 1970-80s several movies about Holmes were shot, and for us, it's sort of classic. I suppose, they could be find in English, have no idea about finding it in Sweden ;)))

  25. I loved the movie Sherlock Holmes! I had a big crush on Jude Law (Watson...who is apparently referred to by many as "Hotson" ^_-) Robert Downey Jr. was certainly a different, but no less excellent Sherlock Holmes from the one I'm familiar with played by Jeremy Brett. I'm a big fan of the stories too, though the mystery in the movie was completely original one. I was on the edge of my sit during the whole film. So much tension and excitement! I'm glad you enjoyed it too! :)

  26. Hello Annete!
    I'm from Brazil!
