Here´s an interview that the swedish radio did with me before my appearance in their P3 Gold award gala. Enjoy!

    Thanks a lot for the link, it was really interesting. And glad it was with english subtitles, i don't speak swedish ( a pity, i love the way it sounds)... :)

    Enjoy your friday.
    I'm still in my exams, feels like it will never end! And this week I studied until 5 in the morning, then I slept for 1 hour and had to get up to go to my exam. But I felt sick like a dead horse, so I had to stay home. Luckily I can do my exam on another day, but that means I have exams until friday next week, in stead of wednesday :S Still another week, blu!

    I gotta say that swedish is a beautiful language and it's a shame that I can't speak it as fluently as I do speak english. When I was 14 years old my swedish number in school was 10! But that was 8 years ago..
    I must say that I truly am proud of you all people of Nightwish. Even though the fans behave sometimes a bit inappropriately, they still are proud of you, since you are taking Finland and Sweden to abroad. =)

    Oh and by the way, Enya with guitars.. very nice!

    Well I do not understand much this interview because my vocabulary in English is not very extensive, but the little I understand I liked =)
    Surely this was a great moment for your career, your live performance was spectacular. If you allow me to comment, I noticed a change in their live performances during those years. You look more relaxed on stage, learned how to use your voice more powerful (as we saw in his performance with "Mustache" and the lastest with nightwish) and at the same time, using a tone more angelic ( as in music with "The Rasmus") and is this variation Muisical that makes you be this incredible artist that we all cherish and love.
    Today you are no longer "the girl who replaced the former vocalist of Nightwish", today you is Anette Olzon who is known for his talent, charisma and personality and not just because you have replaced a famous singer.

    You have your own brilliance, so let it shines more and more ;-)

    Oh!! Thank you so much for posting this with subtitles. I've seen it already, but I couldn't understand much.. Just some few words like "Nightwish" and "Finland" hehehehe.

    Anette - if only I could understand Swedish. Just a note to say how much we enjoy Nightwish. Your addition has brought a new dimension to the band and DPP is probably the most played album in our house - My 12 year old daughter Lisa has gone off to School wearing her Nightwish Amarath Hoodie. We are looking forward to the next album and the next tour hoping that you come up to Scotland. We have a hotel www.selkirkarmshotel.co.uk if you ever fancy a break you will be made very welcome by my team especially the Kitchen team who are listening to DPP right now. All the best. CHRIS

    Jag ville bara säga att jag älskade ditt framträdande på P3 Guld! Själva mixen av låtarna var jättebra och jag älskade när du sjöng Release Me och när du sjöng slutet på Dance With Somebody så tappade jag hakan:) Och som vanligt så lyste du upp hela scenen...

    I still feel like something's missing when you speak Swedish :D I got used to your English! And AWWW, you spoke about Russia! We miss you here! :*
    And yes, you can find some metal-heads in Africa! :) There's a couple if festivals which are held in Republic of South Africa, so you can go there one day :)

    Hej Anette,
    thanks for this. That's cool! I liked it. But I cannot believe that people in your own country know you less than people abroad. Strange! NW ist so famous! But well maybe that's because- at least in Germany- nearly no metal is played in radio and I never heard NW on the radio. I think the fan-community is big but spread all over the world and communicates via internet. And this is a media where people can select what they want to hear. In the radio there are sometimes songs which one might never listen to without coincidence. Well, now after the show and the interview I am sure there are much more people from Sweden who will know you :)

    swedish is so cool...sounds great!and it's not so difficult to understand, cause in my oppinion it resembles to german and to english a little.
    I think I'll ask my mums good friend who lives in Sweden to give me some lessons so that I can understand everything without the subtitles too!

    Hi Anette,

    Lovely interview! It would be wonderful if you and the guys toured Africa. I do not live there anymore but does have a huge metal fan base there. SNG, Seether, Agro, goldfish... lots of metal bands and festivals. I think the band would do great in places like Capetown, Johannesburg; Motherfudd festival usually hangs yearly just outside of there and is pretty big. It's a noncommercial event but a testament for the love of metal in ZA. My eldest nephew and his flock go every year and will be going again this March. He and his wife also love NIGHTWISH!

    Ahh, the Swedish approach on celebrities is so great, it's like my own approach. I don't just jump on them either. Well, I haven't really met someone famous before, but obviously I've posted on blogs like this with such a casual approach. After all, we're all human, no matter how godly our skills may be.
    I'd probably get to know said person, though, because you can find friends in the most unlikely places. =)
    Makes me wanna move to Sweden, now. I'm gonna try to learn the language sometime, but I can't really afford any type of learning software, nor do I really learn much from the "teach yourself [language]" books, unfortunately. It's an awesome language, though.

    Hehe, I'm glad Nightwish opened your eyes to more metal! I'm like... such a huge metal fan. <33 Of course, I listen to pretty much anything regardless of genre, but I just love metal.

    Anyway, I gotta say thanks for sharing this. I love hearing interviews and getting to know my idols better. =)

    ....You know, I'd love to visit Sweden someday and just hang out with you. You seem like such a nice girl. =) No autographs or stereotypical fan moments, just... general friendlyness.
