To Bonome

Dear Bonome,

Thanks so much for what you wrote me. I am so happy things are turning for you and that you didnt give up. Its hard to go on sometimes when it just seems everything goes wrong and not how we want it to be, but to be able to continue struggling and put more effort in, maybe seeking other directions or possibilities, is so awarding when we finally see some results to what we have done.

Keep on trying and set new goals cause I am sure you can reach them all if you really want to;=)

  4. @ Bonome: i don't know you very much, but i've been reading some of your comments here, and you seems to be a very nice person. Quite happy to know things are better for you. :) Remember, even if life is very hard, there's still light and fresh air somewhere.... *hugs*

@ Waywardalice: I just saw the title of the video, couldn't see more... How someone could do this? Anette's right, but still it's so painful to see this kind of thing.....

@Anette: you're so lovely to post kind messages to support your fans. :) (hope one day it will happen to me... *BLUSH*)

  6. Waywardalice: sad but true, right? THis kind of thing makes me really sad too, but I'm sure Anette can handle it. Well, at least I hope so.

Anette: it must me really hard for you, dealing with this nasty things people keep on doing for you.. I don't know why some people try so hard to hurt someone who didn't do anything wrong. I hope someday they'll grow up and realize how stupid and childish they'r being... And if they don't like you, it's TOTALLY their lost =)

  7. @Mery: You wrote my thoughts. But don't care too much about this morons (the nicest word i could found), if they are stupid enough to compare a lyrical soprano and a rock soprano. It's as stupid as comparing Anja Pärson and Helena Jonsson performances, both are great and will probably won gold in the olympic games (well, for Anja i hope - oh well, i'll wear my swedish shirt for the olympic games and i'll cross my fingers), but it start and stop with this. And don't bother to reply to them, most of them will not understand what you say, or will bash on you (ask Mr Cowards -Tarja's White Knight- on youtube and you'll see what i mean - geez, what an asshole!)... You couldn't help if they are so stupid, let them alone. :p

  9. I'm heartbroken...I've lost my bracelet, my beautiful silver bracelet that my best friend gave me past august. She bought it some years ago, when her husband was still alive (he died 5 years ago), and hse gave me this bracelet the last of the 4 days i've spent with her (she lives in Aix en Provence). This morning, about 45 minutes or so, i went to the mail boxes of my building to take mail. I had a very big enveloppe with things ordered from Sam's shop (Samantha Fox). The postman had to push the enveloppe a lot (why i didn't ring?!), damaging a nice gift from Sam (a signed calendar), and i had to fight to be able to open the box. My bracelet fell during this time, and i didn't hear it. I ran downstairs (or close to this, with my bad ankle and my crutches) a few minutes ago, when i saw my bracelet wasn't anywhere, but someone took it. And knowing where i live, it would be a miracle if i'll have it back..... :'( This bracelet was so special and means so much to me, what will i say to my friend when i'll have her on the phone this week? I feel so sad......

Sorry for posting this, Anette, i just need to share it with people who will care (unlike my mother)........

I really hope everything will go on much more better for you! stay strong (you are strong ;))
    with comforting hugs
    yours Chris

    @Waywardalice:
I hate to see such things, so much ignorance is disgusting and insulting.
It makes me sad and angry to see such a horrible thing. all those people who do this to Anette are not worth to hear one single tone sung be her. We love and support her and thats the important thing :)

@Anette: Dont think about such bullsh*t, we all love you and you know that :)
    here´s a small heart for you <3

by the way: it so sweet how much you care about your supporters :)

  11. @ Waywardalice: Yeah, this is really sad, I get so angry when I see those things. Why don't these people go up on stage and try doing half of what Nettie do? Grrrr!!
They are a bunch of lunatics. That's all.

@ Bonome: I don't know you very well eighter, but I hope you're okay now.
Never give up on hope, life is always changing, and for those who wait, It gets better and better.

@ Anette: Hi Nettie! It must be really hard for you, I think I would't stand it if this happens to me. You're such a strong person, an example to be followed. If you ever get down and sad, never forget that we are here to support you and lift you up again, because you are our sunshine!
    We all love you!

  13. To this video in comments - Anette, everyone knows that your voice improved from the time you joined Nightwish few years ago. And showing parts of your job which are _maybe bad_ is stupid, especially in singing. There is no singer who sings everything clear, in the whole world.
But, you know it very well, I think. And it's nice to see that you don't care about this :)
I can't understand why ppl are doing all of this stupid stuff... Ok, maybe they don't like your voice, but still... why they must insult you?
    Hugs! :)

  15. Thanks dear Anette, your words are very important to me =)
I won't give up, and if all that I am planning goes alright, in some years I will show to you all the result ;-)
I don't forget the people that helped me, even that with a few words. I want to tell you that you have a friend in Brazil if you need =)
About that video, I don't understand that people. Tarja not died, she have a great
solo carrer with very good songs, and nightwish have very good songs too. It's all music, and music don't have limit. This kind of people have a closed mind and I so sorry for they. Closed mind never give good things, this is really sad .
Thanks again for this words. Was a good surprise =)
Hugs and all best wishes from Brazil =)

  16. Good afternoon dear Anette.

First of all: As always, you're so kind to us, the readers and followers of your blog. You're just one of the nicest persons I've ever had the chance to write to via Internet.

Second: about the video Waywardalice linked -> So sad... I agree with all the readers, I just don't know how all those people are able to spend so much time of their lives with such hate within themselves... It's really sad, but...as Mery said before: one day they'll realize about their fool things. If they don't like you it's their loss.

    I say: Anette Olzon FOREVER.

Have a nice afternoon and enjoy the day ^^

Hi Annette , u know what you didnt a bad job singin that song...i hate when ppl always have to compare you w/ tarja, you both have a different singing style...like the songs that u sang in poet and pendulum album, havein tarja sing them wouldnt sound right you know because ur the origianl singer to that song...ppl just have to learn to let go..things change..and usually its for the better...your awesome Annette =)

  19. About the video:
you know there are three kinds of nightwish fan
    1) those who started falling in love with nighwish due to Anette (like me)
    2) Those who were in love with tarja and accepted the fact that the band changed singer (as thousands of other bands do) but they still love nightwish, because it is one of the most epic bands nowadays
    3) and finally those that are immature and act very childish. They find no pleasure in their lives so they want to hurt other people to feel better.. (one "person" like that made that video)

5 years ago nightwish were really excellent... now there are no words to describe how good this band has became due to Anette's voice and personallity.. More than excellent would fit! I just believe those words.. Anette you just rule but some people cannot face that you are better than what they expected.. :)

    Love ya!!!

  20. While I'm sure Anette can handle, it's still pretty annoying. People fail to realize that those are Tuomas' songs, not Tarja's, and that Anette didn't fire Tarja in the first place >_<. I really hope all that disappears eventually. Because you can sing the old songs excellently, at least in my opinion.

  21. Things like this YouTube link has hurt me a little for a reason: if you don't like more of something (a book, a band, a TV show ..), stop watch, read, listen. It's a simple equation, doesn't disturb those who still like, my Gosh u_u

But the good part is this: I know it's not easy to you Annette, but you have dealt well with such people, until (if it happens) they grow at all. And if you can turn this page, people who really support you can try the same, I think.

With the changes in the voice of the band I haven't lost a band, won two. What was until the moment you enter, and thereafter. And like much both, I never thought I'd stop listening. Sure, at first I didn't like the change, and even took me to hear all the DPP, but then I saw how my child was teasing.

Now I hear the old songs sung by you and whole DPP and think: "I look forward to her second album with Nightwish .__."

There is a difference between not liking something and have a good argument to explain, and simply say you don't like, reaching to be offensive .. I have many discussions arrangement because of this e.e

But anyway .. Take care of yourself, is the most prudent thing to do :D

  22. Waywardalice: i think the only thing wrong with that video is the title, anette does a wonderful version of wish i had an angel, in my opinion at least. I know when I saw NW live in New York City and they played it as an encore (this is a video i found from that night: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fk2IkIvo4k4 ), it was very, very good. I guess there will just always be Nightwish fans that will always love Tarja and accept nothing different, but it's okay, more NW for us to enjoy, right? :-P

  23. Breton girl: I feel so sorry for you. I understand it was a very special bracelet for you and that you now feel heartbroken. I sure hope you will have it back. I will send all my comfort and hope for that to happen. I hope you will feel a little bit better soon again. Hugs!

  24. Arianna: Hi;=) That song is a cover of a song that Faith Hill recorded a couple of years ago. I sang it as a solo in the choir I was in before NW and this is a recording from the first performance at a new years eve some years ago;=)

  25. Hi A -

Just a quick word of support for Bonome. It takes courage to confront your fears and worries. I'm sure by writing down and confiding your thought you will alreadty feel so much better.
The same comments go out to 'Breton Girl'and it's great that a site such as tyours can provide such comfort.

I always get a lovelty warm feeling when I check your blog because it is always positive with new ideas and uplifting. As well as having wonderful regular contributors - You really feel like you know them after a while .

They are not strangers just friends I haven'y met yet.

As for that ridiculous video - best ignored and fell sorry sorry for the person who has so little else to do. Everyomne is entitled to an opinion but please respect the manner in which you go about displaying those feelings. They obviously have no clue about diplomacy or tact??

Anyway not to waste any more time on that - I think Mr Holopainen is a better judge somehow!!!

Take care and warm wishes Peter- England x

  26. Anette, thank you so much for your answer! I'm so happy! The first time i've listened it it was love a first sight. :D I love your voice!!! But it's live or recorded in studio?

  27. @Bonome: thanks a lot :)

@Anette: thank you for your kind comment, i'm really touched. It's nice to see someone understand my feeling (someone that's not my therapist, i should add).... I wrote a message that i put close to the mailboxes around lunchtime, if i'm really lucky maybe someone had found the bracelet and will return it to me. Minus this (and i still feel heartbroken, it was like losing a part of myself), my day was more on the good side: another gift from Sam(antha Fox), a good smoked tea that i've enjoyed while watching tv in early afternoon, and this evening i had my brand new glasses (from D&G, and in a year there will be totally mine, yay!)...
And i have another good thing to say: like every wednesday at 6:30pm, i saw my therapist. I was crying most of the time (and not only because of the lost bracelet, far from it), and was curled in a kind of foetal position... But at a time, i told my therapist how good i feel when i come here, and we both noticed that while i was saying this, my back was straight and my face peaceful....
Thank you from the deep of my heart.
Oh, and please call me Steff :)

Oh, that's awful. I can perfectly understand you, I felt like this when I've lost my favourite silver ring with a petal of nacre. It was from Bulgaria, and in this ring was all the positive that I had there: the fresh sea wind, beautiful sparkling water and sun, and the feeling of freedom that I have when only am by the sea. One bad day I came to school and lost it when taking off the glove. It fell on the floor in my eyes but I couldn't find it! I've searched all the cloak-place but it was missing. And I couldn't search any more as the lesson had begun... I was truly depressed for about a week, with a feeling that I've lost some part of me. That was long ago, but I still remember. And parents - well, they have no entrance to our world. They can see only the upper side of the iceberg. My mom threw away the bracelet and ticket from NW Moscow's concert, and the piece of that paper streamer that all call "Tuomas's blood" - the only memories left from this heartbreaking event of the year. I've cried like a little child, (swearing at the same time), 'cause I just could not understand what right did she have to move something from MY room, especially the things from my memory shelf. And she said that she just did the cleaning... This happens sometimes, unfortunately, but believe me: this loss will be replaced with even more precious one. Your tears are a price for better things. I've figured this out some time ago. So don't give up. Everything will fix up itself!

    @Bonome
I've tried to find your post on which this Anette's one is a reply, but I failed. Unfortunately, I do not know you well and don't understand much in your Brazilian blog, so I just want to say, that zebra actually also has black and white stripes. You never know what's going to happen next. But anyway it's always a white stripe following the black one, and whatever happens, remember that you'll always find understanding and support in here. I wish you only the best, and hugs from Russia;)
    Kira=)

  30. @waywardalice: I agree on the point that those people who go posting nasty comments or videos, and not only about Anette, but about everything they dislike or disagree with, they should all at least stop showing interest, because I honestly think they always end up looking like fools themselves. I don't mean that they're not allowed to have an opinion, far from me that thought, we can all have one, as long as we express it respectfully and reasonably and don't only go bitching about stuff and end up looking like crybabies. So I actually don't give a damn about all these haters, cause they're all immature, clueless people who can't channel their energy on anything positive, but keep moaning about what they don't like. Also, notice how that user didn't allow comments OR ratings. He/she probably know his videos would be rated low and many people would contradict his opinions.

Anyway, there are many tribute/support videos for Anette as well, so those really make up for the nasty ones, I think.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKz2Uv6rJy4
Here is one, for example. Apparently it was made one year ago, when Anette got a bit sick during the American tour, so a fan just wanted to show his support and good vibes.

So look on the bright side, people!! There are lots and lots of "New Nightwish" fans so there's no use thinking not about the old ones, but about the disrespectful and frustrated ones.
