Todays song

I just need to post my favourite song at the moment. Its with Rihanna and this song is so sad, so melancholic in the tone and how she sings it... truly amazing!

  1. Hey, it's a fantastic match since i've added this song to my profile by me performing recently ;) If you're interested - listen to it ;)
And yeah, it's a hard song talking about the meaning of the lyrics. And she has a very plastic voice ....

  2. Hey Anette

I know this comment about negative energy is not in its place but its an older post and you prolly won't see this message anymore.

Could you give some advice on something though if its not to much to ask?:)

There is alot of Negative energy where i work, somethimes it even gets in the way of my job even. I can't just take some people that work there away now can i? Any advice what i could do about this?:)

Hope to get an answer from you!:)

  4. Dennis: Well, its not so easy that you can take away all the other employees, you´re sure right about that;=) Its a hard situation and since the only way we can change things is to change how we react or accept what others do. We cant change others so only you can change how you handle it. I cant say what you can do since I dont know so much about the situation but if possible, try and not get soaked in to their negativity. Go away and shut it out. I once worked in a working place where there were lots and lots of talking behind others backs and I really didnt like that, so I always left when anyone started talking about it. Never said anything and just didnt take any part of it and that was my way of coping with a negative situation. I hope you can find your way of handling it. Take care!

  8. First time i've listen to a Rihanna song, and i must admit i really liked it, even if it's sound quite sad... Thanks for posting.
Still, want something really sad and depressing? You couldn't found better than this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zn3qO9_-rU (sadly not Yanka's best performance of Angedonyia, but there's no video of the Krasnogvardeskaya performance)
    or this: http://store.yanka.lenin.ru/mp3/1991-Styd_I_Sram-akust/04_Pridet_Voda.mp3

  10. Well, I don't like much of this genre of music( I prefer more bands like Disturbed, AC/DC, Lordi, kamelot, nightwish [of course], etc...), but for the persons that like, it's a very good song. =)
Enjoy the evening dear Anette. Lots of joy for you ;-)
    Hugs from Brazil =)

  11. Yeah.. this song is sad. Reminds me of that terrible day when she was attacked by her boyfriend. Poor little girl.
No woman in the world deserves it. I can't imagine how these women feel when they are attacked by the one they love.
Well, lets talk about something fun ;)
Today i'm so happy, my best friend is coming here today, and I haven't seen her for so long, can't wait to talk to her!

My song of the day is from a band called Krypteria, their music is very good!
Here, take a look if you wish ;=)

  14. Wow, A friend of mine once told me she had made this song for a heavy metal album and the recorder label didn't allow her to do so. Do you know if that is right, anette?

And also, could talk to su about the influence that labes have with the artists work and how they help or damage the art itself?

    thank you..big kiss!

Im not a huge fan of Rihanna but i love this song. Somehow i catch the feeling what might be behid of this song. I mean what i have read of rihanna's hard things, and how her bf beated her. I know what that is, when a someone close one act like that.

  27. Rihanna's voice has always amazed me, even though I'm not a big fan of that kind of singing styles. Leona Lewis's voice is amazing, too.

I have always prefered more "soft" voices. They are easier to listen and they are usually more soothing than "power voices". Today I found a beautiful song which is actually game music. :)

  34. Hei Nettan

I've read the post about negative energy today (that's why I'm commenting here), and I just want to say that I totally agree with you.
I'm very emphatic, and I feel the same way you do when there's bad energy near me.

I think you're doing the right thing. This year I've decided that I'll do the same thing you are doing: I'm trying to turn bad things or negative energy into positive, but when I can't do it, I'll just avoid these people or situations.

It's always nice to read your blog.
There are some situations that I can easily indentify with you, and these posts help me to think about it all.
Actually, you've just helped me today. Thank you

Kisses and best wishes from Brazil :)

  35. Thank you for sharing Rhianna's song, Anette. But I avoided listening to it just because these past months have been very sad and experienced a lot of this negative energy you’ve spoken about from people including my father. Recent issues have convinced me that those who bring this are really people I can do without including family. Sometimes they are the worst culprits for it.

Revealing personal things here is something I try to avoid, but I am a breast cancer survivor since 2004 and during my recovery experienced so much negative energy from my dad that I did not know if part of my misery was from trying to reconcile with him or his acceptance of me or just the therapy. Going through chemo is one of the worse things. It affects you so much both physically and mentally but I did not want to give up even though I felt the life being sucked out of me I wanted to make peace with episodes in my life that I now realise can never change. I thought I could accept things then and even now and still maintain a personal relationship with him. He is my father after all and had always wished he would support and protect me even if it was just mentally. He left us as young children and never there for us during our most difficult times. But I was wrong. He has always been one to run away thinking about himeself instead the needs of others. Even right down to the fact that he was nearly losing his daughter to cancer and didn't think he could get over it and already grieving.

I wasn't dead! I just wanted to hear from him that it would be okay, instead of me having to tell him I would get through it and that HE would be okay. Do you know what I mean? Resent episodes convinced me that I could no longer think of these kinds of people no matter who they are; who just think of no one but themselves who could never see the light of the smallest fire that our lives can bring. Ever hear of those who whine about the glass of milk that is half empty instead of half full? Or the one complaint that ruined our entire day instead of the five compliments that should have brightened it? There are so many...and so many who cannot see the positive.

I have now resolved to push those who bring the negativity to me outside of my life. Someone told me back then, in order to heal myself and get well it was best to surround myself with only those who make me happy and bring positivity to your life. When I stopped thinking about wanting a ‘Dad’ I was able to heal. No one else said they could not speak to me because it was too painful, like he did avoiding my calls or even to see me. I wanted nothing from him, just to see him in what I honestly thought could be my final year. My youngest sister flew in to help me along with my Mum during my sickest times when my husband could not get leave from his training for HEMS. He wanted to quit, but I would not let him. I must say Mum is the strongest person I know and the biggest role model I will ever have the privilege to meet. There were always encouraging words from most of my closest people who love me. I found unbelievable strength from them and understand that we do not have to feel guilty for wanting, searching or releasing those for what is best for us in life. It is a short journey sometimes, long for others but not worth the countless hours, days and years of poor thoughts, feelings and trying to see the light in those who choose to keep themselves dim.

I know that there are times we have no choice but to have contact with some who are naturally carrying a chip on their shoulder or cannot see the light of day. I will of course be there for those who need me or have crisis because I love them, but I avoid them as much as possible and even tell them that I cannot and DO NOT have to be brought into their pile.

I hope you find peace in your decision to let go of who ever brings you this negativity because you deserve so much more.

    best wishes and huggs

  36. Dear Anette,

  40. Mia: Dear Mia, I cant say with words how I reacted on this comment. I dont want to reveal to much personal things here either but all I can say is that I really really understand your situation with your father and I think the decision you made is good for you. It doesnt matter if its family, cause they can hurt us so much and be meaner than anyone outside the family ever would be. And to be terrorized and get so hurt is never good in the long run. And sometimes a "break" might make the situation get better, if the hurt feelings can feel easier and hopefully the other person can see its part of it. I am so amazed of your strength and I do have someone very close to me who also are fighting breast cancer now so I do know it´s a hard time to go through. I am here if you need to talk more. Thanks again for opening up. If you want me to take away your comment just let me know. Lots of hugs and strenght!

I don't like Rihanna so much but i can't stop listening this song... so beautiful!!! i am going to sing it.. i want to became a singer =) i just can't live without music and i sing all the time.. do you have any advice for me? i mean, i won't give up but it's so hard believing in dreams like this one.. you are a lucky person your dream finally became true!!! i wish the same for me... this is my you tube channel.. you could hear some of my covers and tell me if you like it or not.. it would be very important for me!!! thanks kisses and hugs from Italy http://www.youtube.com/user/Rosalilla92

  42. Rosalilla: Oh, I so loved your interpretatin of Evanescence with your dad! I think your voice is really good! I dont know how old you are? Are you born 92? The voice for a female continues to grow until we are around 25 so there still will be more changes in it. Its great that you sing all the time, I did too;=) I think try and get into a band, or some talent competitions etc. Just try and explore your voice and also use some tools like Katrin Sadolins book and cds to learn more about the voice and different techniques. You have the voice and are strong in the tone and I can see you have the musical ear from your father;=) Great that he helps you and plays with you. Super! Let me hear when you record more things;=) Hugs!

I am going to record some of your songs.. I am in love with Nightwish and i really love your voice and how you sing that songs =) i will let you hear the new records if you want =) it was a pleasure for me!!! Thanks again!! :-***

  46. I absolutely adore this song! (its the only one of Rihanna's I like so far)- they play it on the radio alot over here in England. It's so powerful there is an enormous amount of strength in it -its really gutsy - almost made for a man to sing. I especially love the chorus... fantastic music for a catwalk show or to choreograph a dance routine to... have you heard 'Resistance' by Muse at all? I can't stop listening to it at the mo (it's got that same strength as Russian Roulette but with a pop slant instead of the R&B...

  47. Hi Anette!
    How are you today?
I really love this song. This is the best for sad days. Good song from Rated R is Stupid in love, too. It's slow and good to relax. That's the same style like in Russian Roulette.

  48. Hello Anette

Your blog is really amazing, I've been reading the comments and you seem to be a really great person.

It's so nice to see you supporting everyone who is going through a difficult situation in life, I also wish them the best wishes

You know, Anette, you may have already noticed that the video is a little big for the blog layout, it covers the "blog archive" column...

I suppose you copy from "embed" in youtube, so here's a tip:

    Instead of the:
    object width="560" height="340"

in the beggining of the code, you can put:

    object width="420" height="255"

The video will be a bit smaller but it'll fit in the post ;)

PS: sorry for my english, I'm still learning it :)

    Best wishes,

    Pedro

  49. Thank you so much, Anette for understanding my post and most of all your emcouragement. There have been many struggles these past 10 years for us, but we seem to get through them and recover. I am cancer free now with an 80% non reoccurence and been very lucky to have had great support and can take things so much more easier since I've done away with or limited the 'negative Burdens' of my life.

I'm so sorry to hear someone close you is having to fight this cancer too and know in my heart that she also has great care, support and encouragement from you to help her to get through this just as you have with so many of us here. Sometimes its hard to know what to say, and even listen to her fears and pain, but I have to say that just hearing the people who love me call and ask how I was doing or even just listening to my rants helped me more than they know. Sometimes its just the listening part, even if it's the same thing over again. I know its hard to do but know you are there for her and send hope and strength for her recovery.

I was stage 2a, invasive with a high HER2+ which meant I had to have a segmental mastectomy (tumor, tissue and nodes removed) radiation and chemo because of the positive HER2 gene (Human Epidermal growth factor Receptor) making it more aggressive. Facing total mastectomy was just to devistating to me and researched my options extensively and made my choice from there. My tumor was about 1.5 cm and growing fast.

Treatment is very different for so many of us and such a personal thing. There are no guarantees just lots of hope, support and positive thinking (along with treatment) that I will get through this. And most important... the people who give us this strength to fight. I feel so much for her and all of you who are close to her. Being on the outside of this hurts a lot too. I understand that part very well.

You do not have to remove the posts. I hope it reminds every girl here to do a self exam. That's how I found mine.

Thank you again for your warm wishes and huggs, Anette.

Big huggs and best wishes :)
