Yesterday evening I made an apple cake which I thought I´d share to you since I have gotten requests to share some recipes now and then. This apple cake is a good not so unhealthy cake but I promise, it´s still really really good;=)
So here we go:
2 eggs
1 dl (100 ml) sugar
2 dl (200 ml) quark
1 dl flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
1 or 2 apples
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Mix eggs, sugar, quark, flour, baking soda and vanilla sugar together and put in a pie form or another not to big form. My pie form were in the dish washer so I used a baking form and it´s not the best thing but as you can see, anything goes;=)
Peel off the apple skins and divide them into slices and put on top of the paste. Last but not least, drizzle with cinnamon. Then bake in appr. 150-175 degrees depending on what oven you use. I used a hot air oven and had 150 degrees for 20 minutes. The important thing is to get some colour and that the pastry is still.
Serve with whipped cream or vanilla cream. Yummie!
1 teaspoon of flour - really? Should it be 1 dl?
ReplyDeleteMorning Anette

Beautiful like ocean
a melody from her voice
is full of passion and emotion.
When i look to your eyes
i just want to scream
is so unbeliavable
i think i am in a dream.
You can wear any collour
pink,red,yellow,greem or blue
I will always love you
No one love you, like i do.

For us Americans, Anette darling I have never heard of quark...I will look it up. I think I can post conversions for us behind the times people in this country who use cups and not ml...
ReplyDeleteAccording to my iPhone (which has a higher IQ than I do LOL)
1 dl= 0.42 cups (US) or 6.76 T
2 dl= 0.84 cups (US) or 13.52 T
Although it would take a lot of tablespoons, its the most accurate way to meet the European measurements, so I would probably count them out.
Quark = cottage cheese?
I just had lunch and this pie looks like a perfect dessert. Hmmm!
ReplyDeleteIt seems to be delicious, I'm gonna make it someday and call it "Torta Anette" ("torta" is the word for "pie" in Portuguese, my native language).
Is it a typical swedish recipe or did you make it up yourself?
Thanks for sharing it, sweetie. xx
Hi again Anette, my mum has coocked the cake but with some differents ingredients as butter, apple slices in juice lemon and without baking soda and vanilla sugar. I ate and is was very very good! :D Thanks for posting againg! I hope you have a nice day!
ReplyDeleteBig hugs

ReplyDeleteHi Anette,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recipe ! And, if one day you can give us the recipe of "swedish bread" or "polar bread" (it look like a white pancake...) I'm searching it but I'm not really happy of the recipes that I have found...
I will try your apple cake tomorrow ;-)
Dearest Anette,
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a nice, relaxed morning, which is always so good to hear. Thank you very much for the recipe, it looks delicious. A perfect dessert to make for this time of year :). Have a beautiful day, Angel.
May God bless you, your two sons, and Johan.
With much love and warm wishes,
Alexstrasza
That sounds really good to me right now! Haha.
ReplyDeleteOh, girl, you have got to try this recipe
I have! Have you ever had a sweet
called, "Cake Balls"??? They are delicious!
My teacher, Mrs. Brown's, birthday was today;
and my friend and I have a very close
relationship with her because we've known
her for years. So, we made cake balls for
her for her birthday.
This is how they turned out:

The green/blue letters spell out,
"Happy 30th Birthday Mrs. B".
She thought it was so sweet that she
hugged us about 5 times and looked like she
was going to cry. But I'm glad that
we did something for her;=)
If you want the recipe, let me know;=)
Hugs and love, Katie T.

Anette, as i told you to let you know about your recipe of the cake , my mother coocked it today and is very very good. Only an ingredient was different, ricotta (i don't know which is the traslation but it is cheese made with sheep's milk).
