So, me and Johan took our flu shots and I dont feel anything yet. Nemo didnt get his shot since he has been really down today and cranky and then the nurse said it was better to wait one more week since it could be he is coming down with something. So, no shot for him. But we weighed him and measured him and now he´s 66 cm long! He surely is a tall boy and he outgrows his clothes so fast;=) Maybe a basket ball player?? We´ll see what he turns out to be;=)

I have a question for you too :
my little brother is 11 years old and in his class, some of the kids insult him because of his very good marks. He is in the top 3 of his class and i think that these others kids are only jealous but i'm a bit worry about my brother. I had a conversation with him when i came back in my parents's house for few days, and he told me these kids insult them every day at school, and a boy push always him on the floor when his class is waiting for the profesor to come. Somebody has stolen him the house's key too in his school bag !!
My little brother isn't a violent person, he's a person very sensitive, very kind, he really doesn't like to fight. So when i had this conversation with him, between sister and brother, i told him that i really wanted him to defend himself. He's now scared about go to school every morning, he lives this situation so bad because he knows that he doesn't do anything wrong, just being who he is, with his own personality and his capacities in school. He told me that he doesn't want to have good marks at school anymore if they still insult him, he doesn't want to work as good as he did because he can't support this situation anymore. I'm very scared about the idea that one day he came back at home with lots of wounds because of this violent kids. I'm so scared about that....I don't know if i can do something more, what do you think ??

1. When you first started singing was it easy for you? Were the lessons hard at first? Was it hard to reach the notes you wanted or did it all come easily and natural? (this counts as one question ;)
2. You've mentioned before that you don't like to repeat outfits on stage, but if you really like the outfit don't you want to wear it again? I don't think there's anything wrong with repeating outfits and I'm sure no one will mind =)
Ok, here is the question I fear to ask, please don't take it the wrong way I'm just really curious. First of all I know you have every right not to talk about certain things or show us pictures of your kids but here is my question; We all saw Seth when he stood with you and the boys on stage, and we all have seen Jukka's kids and Marco's too, why is it that you fear to show your kids?
That is all I have to ask, thank you for taking the time to answer some of our questions. If you really are the way you portrait yourself to all of us then you are a great person and an inspiration, some people have complained that you are always too positive but I think that's a great thing and that's how you reach places, and that is also how you inspire us.

The main thing that's going through my mind, though, and it has been so for quite a while, is about the way you felt about being a professional singer before actually being a full-time one. I mean, say, when you were 18 or 19 and WANTED to sing, but had no certainty of a musical future, how did you decided you still wanted to do this? How did you feel about the possibilities of finding a job, making a living out of music and all? And how do you feel now, knowing that you have succeeded?

Nemo is a very special name for your son and your new hair colour looks great on you. Even while you most likely sleep less hours per night then you were used to and gave birth to a wonderful child not that long ago, you still look so bright and stunning! And thank you for still sharing some good music with us and nice videos.
To your question if there is anything special we would like you to write about on your weblog... that is a tough one. I would like you to continue to write the way you do, because you write spontaneously about anything you feel like writing about and that is what makes your weblog extra entertaining for us to read. But, I do have a few questions that I would like to ask you. It would be an honour if you would answer them, but of course you do not have to answer all of them or any at all.
1: Will you ever do a signing session with Nightwish in The Netherlands in the future?
2: Are you still taking dancing lessons? Or if not, do you plan on going to dance again sometime in the future?
3: A few months ago the hairdresser dyed my hair black and purple, but the purple colour started to fade very quickly, as in after the second time I washed my hair. Is there anything I can do to keep the nice shade of purple (the one I leave the hairdresser with) in my hair for a bit longer? Or should I re-dye the hair every two weeks? It was bleached before they coloured it. I know that in your hair it looks very good for a longer period then it did back then in my hair.

For as you said, it doesn’t sound as though you had the best day mapped out, but I suppose we do what we must and sometimes it is like that, and it still sounds as though you made the most of it, which is wonderful, I always do the same myself :). I am also glad to hear that you waited on Nemo’s shot, that was a very good decision on your part, but of course we all know you are good at that :). Hopefully he was simply a little tired today and nothing is wrong, I am sending a lot of positive energy your way.
I decided it would be simpler to write all of my thoughts and responses to your posts today in one comment, so that you wouldn’t have a bunch to approve. So, let’s see…first of all, the song you posted was very nice and I enjoyed it very much. You are quite correct; it is quite remarkable how talented and powerful his voice still is. The song was very warm, but somehow haunting. So, thank you very much for sharing it with us. I am sure your voice will still be equally wonderful by the time you are his age :).
So, I have a couple questions, but I am sure you will be flooded with them, so it’s fine if you are not able to get to these.
1: Do you have a target release date for your solo album? I assumed that it wouldn’t be until way later, but I heard from someone that you had mentioned it in the interview you did for the Soundi Magazine. I cannot speak Swedish or Finnish, and I have not been able to find a full translation, so I did not know if that was true or not.
2: Is the Nightwish album confirmed to be released in the autumn of 2011? Or is this still subject to change at this point in time?
3: You have such a wonderfully wide taste in clothing, and I adore all of your different styles, I believe it is quite creative and unique, but I was wondering if you had a certain style or two that you favored over the others? For instance, do you prefer the more rock, punk like look I saw you display at lot during the 2007 concerts, or do you prefer the elegant, beautifully refined look that I saw you display a lot during 2009? Or do you just love all of the different styles and it simply depends upon the mood or atmosphere you are going for?
4: What are some of your favorite Nightwish songs to sing? Whether from Dark Passion Play or from the old albums, I was just wondering about a few of them, I know it must be impossible to choose a single one :).
So, I suppose that is all for the time being. I could think of more, but as I said, I know you will probably get a lot of questions, and I know that will be quite time consuming on your part, and I couldn’t be more grateful that you are taking time out to do this. Regarding the things I'd like you to write about.. well, for sure I'm enormously interested in the new album both from NW and yourself ;) In the latest Soundi you mentioned you plan to release your solo album at spring, that would be very good!))
and yeah, I'd like to read something very haunting, tempting and making my blood boil out of impatience about the new NW album. Your thoughts and feeling about the songs, arrangements, atmosphere. Some things here&there to make us more curious and at the same time left without big spoilers :))))
and I'm also interested in how you managed to live through the heavy touring, what helped you and how you feel yourself now as a singer and a bandmember. You know, something like a guide "how to travel with a metal band of finns being a swede" ))))
and, ofc, fashion, decoration things, outfits, ladies stuff!)))
all in all, keep writing, dear, your posts are always fun and fascinating to read :) your blog is for the the warmest and nicest among the celebs blogs :)

ReplyDeleteI am just wondering, do you get any say in where you think you should tour? Is there anywhere you wish you could have performed on the DPP tour but it wasn't scheduled? Also how much notice do you get given about where you are going to be travelling on a tour? I am keen to find out if you will be heading over to New Zealand on your next tour so that I don't have to pay lots of money to go to Australia like last time! It was totally worth it though.
Thank you for keeping a blog and letting people ask you questions like this, I'm sure a lot of people would feel like they are above their fans but you are simply inspiring because of how down to earth you are.

How can you be full-time mom while the vocalist of a band as famous worldwide, not to mention give you the time every day to share with your fans what happens in a typical day of yours? I do not even 100% I can handle my homework and finding time to spend with my family hehe ... and finally how do you do, to take care of your voice? vocalize take something before? -How do you look at the next NWalbum right now?
-Did you get our card for the birth of Nemo? It's a card from: Wish Upon A Star - Nightwish Belgium. It's with a drawn picture on the front of you and your baby.
And if so, did you like it? :-)
-Do you have any idea when NW is going to tour again. There is actually a rumour that NW will play on Metal Female Voices Fest in Belgium next year. But that festival is already in october.. It's oké if you can't say anything about it. Then we will have to wait :-)
-Are you looking forward to tour again or is it something you look at with mixed feelings (like having to leave your family and home for a while)?
-I thought you started to study something a few months ago. Is that correct or am I imagining things? If yes, how is that going and do you still have time to focus on it?

Nu undrar jag om alla i bandet gillar pyro?

Hey Anette, I realized I'm very late with this, but hope you could answer eventually. It's something I have always been curious about.
ReplyDeleteI heard a lot about how strenuous the tour was for DDP, and how your health had you singing with nearly no voice very often. (I admire you so greatly for that!) I always hear singers in interviews saying that would be their biggest fear.
The question is, when was the first time you had to perform with no voice, was it before Nightwish? And, was it a big fear of yours before that? How do you did you deal with it then, and how you would deal with it today?
I guess that is way more than one question, but they are all related. Just some insight for us aspiring singers would be nice. :)

ReplyDeleteRemember when you were reading a certain book which was called Sex, lies and vampires by Katie Macalister and you told us about how good it was. Well, I got curious about that book so I some time after order it online. I just fell in love with that story and read the book about three times in a row! And it didn't end there; to this day I've read five books from that Dark One series by Katie, and each of them at least twice. I just love those books! So thank you for introducing me to that great great author Katie Macalister :) And finally what I wanna know is that have you got the chance(and time now that you have little Nemo) to read any more of those Dark One novels? And what did you think of that story when/if you finished that particular book what you were reading at that time? :) Thanks a million!! ;)
