One of my favourite TV shows is Americas Next Top Model and tonight they just aired the final episode of season 15. I really loved the winner - Ann Ward. Such a special look and amazing height she has! Really beautiful;=)

Ann is a beautiful girl and great model, but I really think she is too skinny. She might or might not be like that naturally, but it looks a little unhealthy.

Ann is beautiful and her photos was stunning.
The last 10 days I was watching the international Thessaloniki documentary festival and I saw a doc about a Swedish lady, Mrs Hilde Back who in 1970s donated money to a child in Kenya, because there you must pay the elementary school. This child became a lawyer and have this foundation and give scholarships to poor children. http://www.hildebackeducationfund.com/ This is great.

ReplyDeleteSorry Anette but this girl is so thin I'm afraid she might break into pieces. I know this is the way models have to be, but please - don't support this kind of image of beauty. It makes girls become seriously sick!

ReplyDeleteThis girl's face is pretty but she is absolutely skeletal. The fashion industry really sucks by promoting wrong body image(see your older post about body issues). Clothes suit better on a slender body but there is a limit. She looks horrid in this pale pink dress. Look at her legs in the next shoot... So I will have to disagree on this one, she is not beautiful to me. She needs to eat first...

She really needs to eat something... Anything! And more than once... And more than just a grape! EVERYDAY AT LEAST 3 TIMES A DAY!!! :-( There isn't anything beautiful or feminine about the way she looks from the neck down. It's such a shame that the industry these days think that, THAT is beautiful and that, THAT is what a woman is meant to look like. I'm 31 now but I remember when models had curves and looked healthy. They were stunning and you could honestly appreciate and understand WHY they were called super models and were paid as much as they were. Where have all the bodies like Heidi Klum, Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, Claudia Schiffer, Elle McPhearson or Helena Christensen gone? And those names are just off the top of my head... Females are not meant to look like starving pre-pubescent males!!!

ReplyDeleteI have seen the first season of ATM. I'm interested in the photoshoots (I love photography) and fashion but other ways I'm not so interested of that series.
ReplyDeleteAnd sometimes I feel horrible for the model candidates because they are driven to their edges. You know, some girl needs to have more intensive look in her eyes and no matter how she tries, she simply can't do it. I think they are all beautiful girls, as long as they are not too thin.:)

If some here have watched the show, you can see that Ann eats ! lol and some people are born skinny, it's not always because of anorexia (I know people like these).

That she is skinny does not mean that she doesn't eat. I am skinny too by nature, and I eat very healthily. I also do not have curves, and I'm quite tall too.
Am I not beautiful?
You can't judge people just by seeing them, you don't know why they are skinny or big or whatever.

ReplyDeleteI agree with those of you who say that just because she is really skinny she doesnt have to be ill in anorexia. Some people just are this thin and built like that. She is really tall and have a boyish body. So let´s not jump to those conclusions when none of us know anything about her, ok?
