Sunday sneezy sunday

Hi there!

Sorry for my absence yesterday but with a very ill little Nemo I didnt find any time to blog. His cold reached a peak yesterday and the day was filled with tears, wining, sneezing, coughing and tiredness.

Today he seem to feel better and that´s great! Now I have gotten the same cold so its me that´s a bit under the water but luckily there are great pain killers and nose sprays to keep me up. The night was horrible and I just longed for some Nyquils to relieve me, but since I still am nursing him a bit I dont want to use it.

    I hope you get better really soon, it's terrible to be sick, and it must be even worst feeling bad and having to take care of a child... at least Nemo seems to be getting better, right? Anyways, have a great week you too!

    nice to read you! Poor little Nemo! I'm glad to read that he feel better today. Bad luck that you took a cold! What is Nyquils? I took a bit to understand the meaning of wining, with the good translator i found whining and now i understood what you meant before.

    Here in some parts of Finland is going some kind of fever epidemic. It's not dangerous but the fever lasts very long. I have sneezed like hundreds of times litely and usually I sneeze just two times so I'm a bit scared that I will also get the long lasting fever (apparently my mother has it already). You know, I'm a student so all kinds of diseases are easy to catch me.

    I've checked in google and now i know what NyQuil is. Is a medicine and i think you do well to not use it. Can you use other thing which does not hurt Nemo? I hope you will feel better in the next day! My sunday it was very boring and the weather it was cold and grey all the day.

    Hi Anette,

    I hope that you and Nemo get well soon. I breastfed my son until he was two years old. When I got a cold, I would drink ginger tea and at the same time breastfeeding is good for the baby. Ginger is considered the best remedy choice for colds. Drink a cup of ginger tea several times (at least 3 times) a day, it contains a dozen antiviral compounds and above all tastes great and finally, remember to drink lots of water to flush out your system.     I hope you will get better soon, it doesn't seem fun at all!
    I just thought of a topical painkiller that I order for my mum (she has painful arthritis). She says it works incredibly well. It is from an american company, Northstar Nutritionnals and it is called Soothanol x 2. Though, you would have to contact them to see if it is ok while breastfeeding, it is not mentionned.
    As for Nemo, I don't know if he receives supplements of Vit D. Every children did in France back in the 90's. Among other things, it boosts the immune system.
