Back home

Hi all and thanks so much for all the comments on Reflections. I need to sit down and read all of them so they will all be published as soon as I have done that cause I really wanna read what you all write. Really so nice that you want to tell me your stories;=)

Thanks!

  1. You're welcome Anette! :) It was very nice to share my story with you and other fans. Now I see that I'm not the only one who is fighting with these problems. We can help each other with these things. :)

  2. Hej Anette!
I would like to add my comment to this topic, too.
I've never had problems with how my body looks like. Actually I faced some nasty, stupid comments too when I was a teenage: I have always been very slim and not very curvy (I've never been on a diet, it's just my body's natural shape), and many guys at school kept on saying that the most beautiful girls were the curvy ones, while the skinny ones like me were not so pretty. But that never really affected me actually. Well, I found it annoying, but this never grew into a real problem for me. I naturally felt in harmony with my body, I never felt super-beautiful, but I never felt bad either. Of all the teenage issues I may have had (and it was quite a troubled time for me for some reasons), my body was not a problem to me. Now as an adult woman I can clearly see how important my attitude was. Your story and your words made me reflect on how fragile young people can be, and how wrong comments can really hurt and leave a scar. I guess other kinds of comments and judgements left a long-time scar in me, for example when I struggled to follow my dreams and I was told I was just wasting my time... Sometimes it was hard to keep going my own way with all those negative voices all around. So you're definitely right, we must always be respectful of each one's identity, personality, look, dreams etc., 'cause we're all different and we all equally deserve a nice place in the world, as long as we don't harm anyone while reaching for our goal.
Thank you for this reflection, it's nice to talk about things with you and all the people here! =)
    Love,
    Elisa

  5. Good evening Anette :)

Hopefully I haven’t blocked up your other Blog post this morning with too many comments. I simply, as I am sure you noticed, had many thoughts to share on the matter. Well, today has been a lovely day for me, and I pray it has been a nice one for you as well. We’ve been having some wonderfully warm weather here on the East Coast of the USA, so I took the opportunity to help some people with some outside work today. Not my favorite, for although I love taking walks outside and enjoying the fresh air, I prefer the inside ‘chores’ such as cleaning, organizing, etc. But, you do what you have to do, and that’s all fine with me :). Once again, I feel the need to say how touching and deep I found your Blog post this morning, and because of it I’ve been able to read the stories of many others. And I know you know very well that you are not overweight or unattractive, but I would like to say again – you are so beautiful, and very slim and shapely :). And that’s all I see when I look at pictures or videos of you.

Well, I hope the rest of your evening is lovely, Angel.

    With all of my love,
    Alexandria
