Busy day

Hi all,

It´s been a busy day filled with meetings, e-mails, a little Nemo who fell and hit his head right into a corner on our living room table and got a nasty blue eyebrow, fixing a broken nail at the nail lady, going to the post office to post important papers, washing clothes to bring to Finland this weekend, phone calls and paper work...

Then talking to the police cause there was a fight outside our house and it´s not the first time it happens and I said to the police that they really need to step it up and start to protect us who live here. For some reason, there are really expensive cars driving so fast here in our street, which is a walking street!, and if someone walks in their way, like a guy did today, they get pissed and start to yell to that person that they should move or they will beat them up and even more harder words. Today the guy who got beaten down, asked them why they drove so fast here and immediately 3 guys in the car jumps out and start to beat him down...

Things like that make me so damn angry! And I have children living here...

It´s not easy for the police either but like I said to the police - put up some speed bumps so they cannot drive so fast here. Let´s hope they soon do that.
Like these maybe...flowers are always nice;=)

Now I´ll start to pack some clothes for Finland so see you all tomorrow;=)

  1. I also don't like guys who drive fast in the street where are so much children playing in the yards, sometimes on the street :/ And even worse.. in my street there are many vineyards, so, drunk drivers every weekend -.-'

And your idea with these flowers is cool :D

    Good night,
    Nives :)

  2. I dont understand why people are so reckless in expencive cars!! If i had a car like that I would rarely leave the drive :)

There are places here that have tackled this sort of problem really well by norrowing the road by puching the curb out in places - the road ends up zig-zaging forcing the boy-racers into oncoming traffic, so they slow down.

But your idea is prettier :)

I hope it's sorted quickly, and that Nemo's okay, and you enjoy your time in Finland

  3. Good evening Anette,
OMG o___o! I can immagine that he got scared and cried. This has happened to me also what i was a baby, i fell and hit the forehead on the corner of the glass table. They took me to the emergency room and put the points. I have the people that drive fast in inhabited streets.

Hope that a little Nemo has good time! In which day are you going in Finland?

Have a nice evening and see you tomorrow!

    Hugs

  4. Hi!
Sometime, here happens this: some drunk drivers go to the avenue that I live and make accidents, sometimes they are very bad, this make anyone very angry.
The flower is a good idea ;)
    Kisses and hugs.

  5. Hey Anette :)

Wow, busy day! And ouch! Poor Nemo, hope the bruise doesn't hurt too badly.

That's horrible! Expensive cars mean overly rich people who think they can get away with anything... that's always annoying.
I hope the police manage to do something! Flowers seem like a nice idea, speed bumps do too, but I have seen cars go fast over speedbumps as if they weren't there sometimes.. so flowers seem better, and prettier!

    Have fun packing! :)

    Take care,

    Alexandrina

  7. What a crazy day! I hope tomorrow is better and that Nemo is ok, always scary when little ones fall and get hurt.

I can relate with the car situations, where I live we have young people driving around way too fast in a populated area. My car was parked and someone on the other side going in the other direction spinned out and hit it and moved it completely from its space because of lack of speed bumps. Funny part, There is a sign that says "speed bump" but they removed the speed bumps years ago. ha.

Because it's pretty much a college town now with only a few family's worth of long time residents, they sweep all the police reports under the table. It's still a tough job for the police but I still wish they could do more. it's not very reassuring sometimes.

By the way, I love those little flower carts, Good luck in Finland Anette!

  8. Little various thing,it´s not good if you don´t have nothing to do,nothing else than lying on the bed but it´s not good either if you have so much all kind of things to do that you don´t even know where to start. On the other hand, that how much you do per day,can be routine or then need to do.

  9. yeah the flowers are cool & pretty, and in my street, well it's a big boulevard, always are faster cars and since i remember every year some of my cats are, well you know, killed by cars, and i can go by foot its dangerous.

Good Luck On Your Trip To Finland!!, Take Care :)

  10. WOW!!
That's quite a day...You're amazing to be doing all this while recovering too!
You must feel relieved to have gotten so much accomplished.
    Poor Nemo... :(
It sounds really scary that people driving would do that to someone walking. I see how fast people drive around here on my street and I'm always afraid of someone getting hit. There are always kids on their bikes or playing. And there are a lot of corners where you can't see...I will never understand why people have to drive so fast...Do they ever think of the risk? I hope the police do something for your street!! The flowers are a pretty idea...
    Have a very safe trip!!
    Take care!

  11. Welcome to Finland Anette! :)

Those things you told sounds horrible. I can't stand those jerks who don't realize how dangerous they can be. They always think that if they drive faster than it's recommended, people won't get hurt.

Yesterday when I was coming home by bike one young man always drove over me. There was a sign in that crossroad that mean cars must give way to others but that man just drove.

Police has been my favorite job since I was a little girl and I have decided to become a police one day. I want to protect people and make sure that those idiots get what they deserve.

They built this in Croatia! Then people don't drive so fast because they need to slow a little bit! :)
